On behalf of the Hay family, thank you for everything you do for us. We made Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a family affair exactly a year ago when my daughter was the last member to join the team. It has helped all 4 of us build our strength, confidence and discipline and it’s all thanks to the amazing coaches! Thank you! ❤️

My son started taking classes here early last summer, and after watching him I was quickly encouraged by another parent to check out an adult class. After that first class, I was hooked! I can't imagine a more positive, uplifting environment in which to become a more capable human. We've been having an incredible experience training as a family. I would recommend this school to anyone without hesitation.

Coach Dio is the absolute best! She started me on my BJJ journey and has been a wonderful support. The gym is family and female friendly and such a supportive crew of people that have become my jiu jitsu family.

We absolutely love being apart of the Gracie Barra New Braunfels community! All of our children ranging from 3 years old to 9 years old attend classes here and the coaches do a fantastic job with coaching each of them at their individual levels and challenging them to be better each class. We’re so thankful we found this studio and for all the coaches and their knowledge!

In town for business, and had the chance to drop in for a few sessions. Great energy and environment. Facility is very clean, very collaborative feeling on the mats. Awesome time.

My 7 year old son started taking classes here when the school opened in May 2023. I always knew the high reputation of Gracie Barra and I have been nothing but impressed from day one. My son receives excellent teaching in a fun, supportive and challenging atmosphere. Coach Dio is phenomenal with the kids and truly encourages and pushes them to be the best versions of themselves on the mat and in life. I was so impressed that I ended up joining and now take classes with the adults. I could not be happier with my own experience and am always so impressed and humbled to train with people who are so knowledgeable and helpful with zero ego and or attitude. I also have a history of back injuries and didn’t think I’d be able to train, but my experience has been great. They truly mean “jiu jitsu for every body.” They want you to have a good and productive experience whether you can go 100% or you need to modify your training based on an injury or an ailment.

I had the best raining experience at the Gracie Barra gym in New Braunfels, both for myself and my daughter. Coach Dio was knowledgeable and patient, and she created a fun and engaging environment. The gym's amenities include an awesome waiting room, which is particularly convenient for parents with small children. Unfortunately, as I was only in town for vacation, I won't be able to continue training here. However, I highly recommend Gracie Barra Gym to anyone seeking top-notch martial arts training and a family-friendly atmosphere.

Dio Negron is a fantastic professor, and I’m so excited to see that she’s opening up her gym! She is very knowledgeable, passionate about the craft, and passionate about sharing her expertise and her love of the art with others. She’s always looking out for everyone and helping to prevent injuries. She’s amazing with kiddos (my daughter loves working with her because she makes it all so much fun and less scary for her) and I’m so excited to be able to recommend her to all my NB area people who are interested in martial arts!

I’ve trained with Dio at Gracie Barra for 4 years now and she is absolutely amazing. She has helped me grow so much in my jiu jitsu. She coaches me through learning and encourages me along the way. She is great with my kids in their classes as well. You won’t find a better jiu jitsu school or leader than Dio and Gracie Barra New Braunfels!!!

I am middle age adult, and brand new to Jiu Jitsu. I tried out many schools before enrolling with Gracie Barra. At GB I found excellent instructors and a community of fellow students (from beginners up to advanced higher belt students) who are dedicated to creating a safe training environment to learn the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu. I am very happy to be part of the Gracie Barra community. My only regret is that I did not start many years earlier.

I'm new to jiujitsu, and loving every minute I spend training. The instructor is kind, patient, and a champion fighter that knows her craft and how to teach it effectively. The classes offer more than just standard self defense. They have given me the opportunity to improve my self- control and build a stronger mindset when it comes to facing challenges. This gym offers community and self-growth. Great for families as well, with fun kids classes. I look forward to training here, there's no better place 💪
