This review is a long time coming, but Gracie Barra Leesburg is truly amazing! Our 9 year old daughter loves to try different sports (gymnastics, soccer, dance, swim...), and this is the only one she has expressed future commitment to. She loves going to class, asked to do the summer camp, and sets goals for herself. Gracie Barra Leesburg has encouraged her to focus her mind, control her emotions, and have fun working out. The staff is friendly (Prof. Charles is the best!) and very understanding of how children are. I look forward to our daughter doing many years of jiu-jitsu and highly reccomend this location :)

Gracie Barra Leesburg is a great location! The coaches are great with the kids, and make their classes fun and encouraging! The location is growing fast and very exciting to see the gym grow! Coach Charles and Ethan are wonderful knowledgeable and great communicators! I support Gracie Barra!👏🙏🥳🤸🤼♂️🤼♀️
We love Charles and his crew at Gracie Barra in Leesburg. He’s great with the kids and makes you feel so welcomed as a mom. My husband also rolls there and has nothing but the best to say about the instructors, people, and the facility itself. Highly recommend!!
Gracie Barra in Leesburg has been such an incredible component of our daughter’s life since starting! Professor Charles is an absolute gem and we are so fortunate to have him work with our kiddos. My husband and son have been doing jiu jitsu since 2023 with Gracie Barra. It has been such an amazing experience watching the growth of my son and the bonds that he has formed with fellow students. Professor Charles especially has been such a blessing! I truly feel the atmosphere he creates at Gracie Barra is unmatched. El profesor es muy bueno con los niños y todos son muy nice ahí, mi hija a aprendido mucho y ellos organizan competencias con otras escuelas mi hija le encanta ir a competencias, y ahí hablan español por si alguien está buscando algún deporte después de la escuela para tu hijo y no te sientes cómodo por el idioma no te preocupes 😉. Ve ahí y te podrán hablar en tu idioma para que te sientas cómodo, me encanta este deporte porque es todo el año no importa el clima.

Gracie Barra has been a wonderful part of my kids' lives! Both my son and daughter are learning discipline, self-defense, and having a lot of fun. Both Professor charles and Coach Gavin are awesome with kids!! It really helped my son to become more active and let go of the tablet. I took the courage to start myself a few weeks ago with Professor Dana, and so far, the experience has been great! Loving it!

Gracie Barra has changed my life. My son before starting jiujitsu, he was shy and did not know how to defend himself even though he had a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Since training at Gracie Barra he has learned confidence, respect and accountability amount other valuable skills. Before jiujitsu I was always worried about my son, I could t never go to a brewery or any place and relax I was always worried watching him with other kids. Now I let him play and if a kid is a bully he will learn his first jiujitsu lesson for free. Professor Charles and the coaches are absolutely amazing they teach the kids to work together and get along. They teach really valuable skills to the kids and are super patient. I have seen kids come In super scared and within weeks they have made such transformation because of the dedication of the staff. The kids also build relationship with other students and so do the parents, we are a tight family. I enjoyed seeing my son so much that I even joined and started to train. I train with Professor Dana on Tuesdays and Thursdays and she believes more in me than I ever have and it has made me progress in my jiujitsu. I totally recommend any ladies who are thinking about joining to join because it’s such life skill to have but also you build relationships with other moms and ladies, the program she runs for ladies is absolutely amazing. Once a month she plans a fun activity for her ladies. Professor Charles plans super cute events for the kids such as a movie night which is nice because parents can go enjoy themselves while the kids are having fun. Don’t waste your time in signing your kid for Tae Kwon do they won’t be able to defend themselves. Sign them up for jiujitsu with amazing professors who will make your child shine guaranteed. I am very particular when it comes to teaching my son but honestly Gracie Barra has exceeded my expectations. They work so hard to keep their school engaged and motivated with new events, I am very glad we joined.
Professor Charles has been an amazing instructor for my two boys. He is able to communicate with them in a way that garners mutual respect and a feeling of family. We are so glad to have found a good school which not only promotes the true spirit of martial arts but makes you feel like family and teaches excellent techniques.

Very accessible gym for beginners culture is friendly and unintimidating, camaraderie among members is fantastic and keeps me motivated to come back and earn my stripes! When my 7 yr old son started lessons at GB Leesburg he loves every minute of it. Of all sports and activities in there, been his favorite thus far. All the staff immediately make you feel welcome and the professors/coacs make sure to show every student who attends the attentions that they need. The class helps build confidence while also teaching discipline in positive way which helps students better themselves physically and intellectually. Lastly, it’s a awesome class to learn self defense skills.
My boys love this class and are trained very professionally. The coaching staff is elite and extremely good with kids.
My daughter and I joined Gracie Barra Leesburg a couple weeks ago and the experience has been phenomenal. From my daughter’s perspective, she’s already building more confidence and always wants more mat time. Professor Charles delivers a perfect balance of competitiveness and fun to keep her engaged and focused. From my perspective, this is my home away from home. Professor Charles and Professor Deborah are both patient, hard-working, and passionate about teaching BJJ. Thanks to their coaching style, I keep pushing myself to be present 4-5 times a week!
I joined GB Leesburg a few months back, with no history or experience in any martial arts, and it has been life changing. It’s a physically and mentally challenging environment, where everyone is encouraging and supportive. The instruction from Professor Charles and Professor Dana has been exactly what I’ve needed; clear, technical, and most importantly patient. I leave each class completely exhausted, excited to come back the next day. I can’t say enough good stuff about GB Leesburg. 🙌🏻
I come here with my dad 2-3 times a week and I LOVE IT! I just started recently and I’m already learning so much. It’s really fun when you start learning new techniques/moves and get to fight with others!

My experience at Gracie Barra Leesburg as a newbie to BJJ has been phenomenal. Professors Charles & Deborah are both wonderful instructors and delightful people. I’ve also brought on my 3 young kids (6, 8, 10) and they’ve been loving it as well. We all look forward to Saturdays when they get to try their new moves on their dad in the combined parent/kids session. One thing I love about this being a new location is the ample space and high degree of personalized guidance from Prof Charles. Can’t say enough positive things about our experience so far.
Clean, new establishment. Warm front desk staff that is very helpful with any questions you may have. We enjoy the 3-4 year old program for our little one. The instructors are very patient and understanding with the little ones which puts the parent at ease.
I’ve never done any martial arts, and my son needed a good outlet for all his energy. We are loving it so far! Professors Dana and Charles are super patient with my Tiny Champ and the Women’s class creates a comfortable place for beginners like me to learn!
Wonderful place to train. Everyone is professional. The instructors are excellent. I feel very grateful my son and I can attend a school of this quality so close to home. I recommend this place to anyone looking to better themselves no matter what your level of training has been in the past.

We love this jiu jitsu studio!! We started at the Ashburn location and moved to the Leesburg location when it opened since it was closer to home. My son LOVES all of the instructors and the instructors so clearly really enjoy the kids. It’s been a great experience for my 5 year old over the last 10 months, helping him to learn listening skills and teamwork in addition to jiu jitsu in a fun and safe environment.
I am loving classes here! I'm a complete newbie and it was really intimidating to get started, but all the instructors are so great and work with you to get the forms down. 100% recommend!

Amazing place for kids and adults to learn JJ. Our kids have been coming to Gracie Barra for just over a year now and it is the only sport they have stuck to for longer than 6 months or year round. This location seems nice and they have many features still being built. Can't wait to see the final product! The coaches are very friendly and professional. They understand customer service and most importantly that they are our kids second parents, is how it feels to us. They are reinforcing to be kind and respectful, while also teaching them the art of self-defense.

Highly recommend! From the beginning, the team at Gracie Barra Leesburg has been very welcoming and has responded to all questions very quickly. As someone completely new to Jiu-Jitsu, I have always been apprehensive about giving it a try. I always felt so intimidated. However, my husband and I were so impressed with our experience that after the Intro Class for our four kids, we decided to sign up our whole family! We could not have asked for a better experience--easy-to-find location, ample parking, outstanding teachers (especially with the kids), and of course, a gorgeous facility. So clean and spacious! I am so excited to have become part of the Gracie Barra Leesburg family!
Me and my family go there and they are amazing! Great for all ages, from kids, adults and women's only classes! Love the place, it's brand new, clean and clear! Awesome location too, with lots of parking spots available around! Been with them for a long time and we will continue to come to the new school!
Had my first class in here yesterday and let me tell you, I LOVED it. Is spacious, looks amazing, you feel welcome from the moment you step inside. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or have had some experience before, the coaches and professors put all their energy on you to succeed in ever movement and class. Very grateful for them, and the school, which I didn’t know I needed this sports so bad (especially after a day at work 🙈)
The professors are great. Mats and space are clean. Love the Gracie Barra curriculum and culture. Great for self defense, getting in shape and learning the art and sport of Jiu-Jitsu. I have been to many MMA, BJJ schools and I HIGHLY recommend Gracie Barra Leesburg
