From the moment I arrived, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My instructor (Jose) is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about teaching, and he is always willing to answer any questions I have. The owner, Erik, has been super kind & accommodating as well. The facilities are top-notch, with plenty of space for training and a clean and well-maintained environment. What really stood out to me, though, was the sense of community at Gracia Barra Kendall. Visiting from Canada and dropped in for an open mat. Everyone was so unbelievably kind I really felt welcomed. Steve was kind enough to take some time aside to show me some wrestling techniques. Highly recommend checking them out!

I signed my son up because he both needed to fulfill a PE requirement for school and I wanted him to learn self defense. These guys are great, they're serious but they know how to make it fun for the kids. Now, if I could only lose a little weight and start getting into shape a little, I might sign up myself!

My kids have been going for 1yr, and I cant say enough of how dedicated this team is to teaching the kids about BJJ fundamentals and self defense. Prof Eric with his stern but playful handling of kids and Prof Sebastian with his insane technical skills make for a great learning environment.

I couldn't have had a better experience, then my class at Gracie Barra Kendall. Eric, the gym owner, welcomed me like a student, whose been training for years. All the students were nice and respectful. Sébastien, the instructor, was very professional, helpful, and jovial. I couldn't recommend anywhere else if your looking for good lessons, rolls, and experience.

Fantastic experience I had. Very friendly people, amazing atmosphere. I learned quite a lot in the time I was there. At first I was hesitant joining because I had never done any martial arts before this but I have never regret joining it. Both instructors Erik and Sebastian are amazing people, rolled with them a few times and overall feel like they deserve this place to grow even more due to how good of instructors and people they are. By the way, if you’re also looking for a place to do fitness then this is even more of a reason to join. Oh and lastly, if you’re not fit already don’t be discouraged from joining, when I entered I used to be quite overweight but overtime I got much better and lost a lot of weight, such as how many other people there have.
