  Great experience training with Team GBH. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the coaching is genuinely top quality, whether you’re a complete beginner or more experienced. Big shoutout to Luke and Aza, who go above and beyond to support everyone on the mats. Their coaching style makes things easy to understand while still pushing you to improve every session. There’s a strong sense of community, and everyone is approachable, which makes it easy to stay consistent. If you’re looking to improve your skills, fitness, and overall discipline, I’d highly recommend giving them a try.

  Thoroughly enjoying my ju jitsu journey so far. The coaches are incredibly supportive and encouraging and everyone is patient and understanding that I’m new and I’m taking my time to learn the correct techniques. Honestly the club has outweighed my expectations and so has the BJJ .It will be different from anything you’ve ever done before but isn’t that how we grow?

  I took my son for a BJJ taster session at Gracie Barra Harrogate and had a great experience. Everyone was extremely welcoming, and the coaches were very knowledgeable, breaking the drills down in a way that was easy to understand. They kindly lent my son a gi for the session and made all the information around signing up, classes and next steps was made clear and straightforward with no pressure at all. I’d highly recommend Gracie Barra Harrogate to anyone thinking of getting involved in BJJ.

  The team at GB Harrogate have always made me feel welcome, safe and a valued member of the gym. The atmosphere amongst the students is friendly, respectful yet competitive. The classes are attended with a mix of ages, genders and abilities. There is a strong camaraderie amongst the regulars who go the extra mile to help newcomers have a great experience of Jiu Jitsu. The facilities are flawless, the admin and communication is always helpful and quick to respond. All of the above is important but it all stems from the leadership of Professor Lewis and his team who have a passion for Jiu Jitsu. Our gym has solid reputation for both teaching and competing and regularly attracts and hosts top Jiu Jitsu athletes for seminars. In my time at GB Harrogate the gym has grown in size and output. I love training here and my daughters will be joining the team when they are old enough.
