All coaches, staff & full team here at Gracie Barra are very professional and motivating. This place is not to baby your kids, but sharpen them to become civil and righteous! I dedicate six days a week to make sure my son attends the academy and I do not regret it. The environment and peers my child is exposed to is positive and safe! It’s been a month Since then, my son behavior and character has excelled! Before Gracie Barra my child was a badass kid, no one wanted to babysit. Go figure now he’s an angel and very mannered.

I just completed my free trial class. I had such an unbelievable experience. I was given a loner gi to train with. They made me feel like I was part of the class. When I rolled, I felt safe. I was allowed to wear my headgear without any issues. Location looks small from the outside but when you enter it is huge. Mats looked very clean. Class schedule is awesome. I am looking forwards to training at this location long term.

My experience at Grace Barra Jiu Jitsu was definitely a 10/10. Friendly staff, very technical professors who were worried about my learning and did everything to ensure I’d fit in during my experimental class. I would definitely recommend joining them if you’re thinking about trying something new!

Starting out in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu at an older age, I was nervous and intimidated. However, after 2 months of training, I have found the overall environment at Gracie Barra Chino to be a very positive and encouraging one. It is truly like a family and the professors and coaches patiently and effectively lead by example, teaching fundamental techniques for all students to learn and safely practice. Everyone I have trained with (regardless of which belt they hold) has been very encouraging and helpful, and that is a direct reflection of the culture instilled at Gracie Barra Chino. I highly recommend for anyone interested in learning Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, to join Gracie Barra Chino.

I started training at Gracie Barra Chino back in April of 2009. I think I was one of the first 10 students. From day one professor Rafael was a great instructor and mentor. As the years passed he would bring new instructors in from Brazil and ever new instructor had something amazing to share with students. The mats and bathrooms are always clean, everyone is respectful and polite and the training curriculum is excellent for both kids and adults. It really has a great family atmosphere.

I recommend Gracie Barra Chino to anyone looking to train in martial arts. The Brazilian jiu jitsu taught at this gym is top notch. My family and I have been members of Gracie Barra for five years now, with myself and all three of my kids training at the gym. My two oldest, boys 9 and 8, have become so confident without lacking humility. Much of this can be attributed to Professor Rafael and the awesome crew at GB Chino. Walking in five years ago and signing my kids up was such a blessing. We have made so many great friends at GB Chino, and even though the gym has grown in size, it still feels like a tight nit family environment.

I have trained in a variety of different Martial Arts over the years and this place is spectacular. As a law enforcement professional for almost three decades I can attest to the genuine effectiveness of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Gracie Barra Chino is a great place for the whole family to train the art of Brasilin Jiu Jitsu. Professor Rafael and his staff of other Black belts, coaches are extremely knowledgeable in self defense and sport Bjj. I have both my children enrolled in their kids program. My son and daughter have more confidence since they started. They love learning how to defend themselves, while also developing many friendships with all of the other kids in this fantastic program. The Academy is very clean and well managed. If you are looking to learn how to defend yourself or simply do something that can challenge you both physically and mentally in a safe environment you have come to the right place.

Like the first day of going to any school, I was worried and intimidated, but when I got there, everyone was so welcoming, it quickly put my worries at ease. Instead of being slaughtered, all the higher belts encouraged and guided me through the techniques. Everyone is so supportive through it all that you don't want to give up. One of the few schools where you'll be taught by three awesome black belts (Professor Rafael, Professor Bryan, & Professor Derek). FYI: I WAS NOT PAID OR COMPENSATED TO SAY NICE THINGS ABOUT THEM. QUITE THE OPPOSITE IN PERSON. LOL DON'T WANT TO INFLATE HEADS AND EGOS. HAHAHA Each with their own unique style that will help you develop your own. Jiu Jitsu is a great form of self defense, work out (THINK SUMMER BOD READY), and it's been a great way for me to relieve stress from everyday life. They have become a second family and have met amazing people whom I love as friends. The academy is big and spacious. I'm not going to mention any names, but the perks of having an OCD Professor (You obviously have 3 choices), the academy is immaculate and the mats are always clean.

Last night myself and my 25 year old son had a private lesson with Professor Rafael to help us with our tournament fighting techniques. The reason I choose to drive to Chino for this is how impressed I was at Professor Rafael's knowledge of Jui Jitsu after meeting him. We arrived at his gym 15 minuets prior to our lesson where we observed one his classes he was walking around the mat teaching his students while they were rolling. He was very actively engaged and informative. Our private lesson was way above my and my son's expectations. He gave us a strategy to tournament fighting that was new to us and very valuable during our private lesson he had to re-tie his Gi at least 3 times because he was actively rolling with us. If I lived near his gym I would be a member. Needless to say I would recommend him highly without reservation.

Good training for everyone from 3 to 99. Jiujitsu is an awesome way to stay in shape and a great activity which requires the mind and body. It is an activity that parents and children can do together and create a special bond of Jiujitsu. Husbands and wives can do it together and it is a way to spend quality time doing an activity that is fun and healthy. Gracie Barra Chino has great faculties, great instructors, and clean mats. Gracie Barra is a great place to begin your Jiujitsu journey. I started doing it 31/2 years ago at Gracie Barra Chino and haven't looked back.
