I've been training at 10th Planet Chino Hills for a few weeks now, and I’m really enjoying both the Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing classes. The professor and coaches are professional, knowledgeable, and great at what they do. As someone with no prior martial arts experience, I’ve felt welcomed and supported. If you’re looking for a solid place to train, whether you’re new to martial arts or experienced, I highly recommend this gym.

I have been incredibly blessed to be a part of 10p Chino hills. I fight professionally out of this gym and Jeff has been one of the best coaches I have ever worked under. He has been able to turn a team into a family and I really enjoy that. At the same time the rolls are incredibly intense and extremely skilled. I had signed up back in February since then these past 7 months with 10planet Chino Hills have been nothing but great. I started training jiujitsu as a hobby but started competing soon after. I have found a passion and a great support system with this team. Whether you’re looking for a new hobby or wanting to compete, this gym provides you with great energy and individuals that are willing to motivate you on and off the mats.

Love this gym! Just started two months ago and feel like I’ve been there for way longer. The atmosphere in the gym is so inviting and everyone is so chill. Coach Jeff is a really great coach and a great person. He breaks down technique so well and has improved my game so drastically. So if your looking for a gym to try, pick chino hills and to learn from the best alongside some great people.

What sets this place apart from other gyms is the culture that Professor Willingham has instilled in his students and his academy. He instills a team first attitude where everyone helps each other out not only on the mats but in life as well. Finding a bjj academy is not difficult, but what is difficult is finding an academy that makes you want to come back and continuously improve yourself as a practitioner and as a person. When I moved to the area I was worried about finding an academy where I would love as much as my last one. I am extremely grateful and lucky that I have crossed paths with Professor and everyone else at the school. If you’re debating between schools, I hope this review helps you choose us and hopefully try a class and see the culture that is being built.

This gym really has a tribe feel, the group is welcoming and the training is focused on building confidence in yourself. Coach Jeff really is a master at his craft and breaks down the techniques and puts them together so you can understand and complete them yourself quickly. Swing through, get a roll, learn some chokes, and join the tribe!

I've been training at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu in Chino Hills for a couple of months now, and I gotta say, it's been an amazing experience! Professor Jeff is extremely professional and knowledgeable, not only in jiu jitsu, but also kickboxing and MMA. The techniques they teach here are top-notch and actually work! I've noticed a significant improvement in my skills in a very short time. But what really sets this place apart is the welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is super friendly and supportive, and the culture is diverse and inclusive. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, you'll feel right at home. I highly recommend 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu in Chino Hills to anyone looking to improve their martial arts skills, get a great workout, or just be part of a awesome community. This is an amazing gym and group of people. I signed my son and myself up and have not regretted it for one second. The coaches are super friendly, knowledgeable and there to help build you up to the best version of yourself. The members are all supportive and willing to teach you what they know as well. What a great club. I was in visiting from Canada and had a chance to make it out several times. Nice clean club, excellent instructors and a great group of members to partner up with. All around a great jiujitsu culture. The culture is set from the top. I look forward to coming back in future visit. Eh!

Coach Jeff and Alberto are amazing. They both have different teaching styles that accommodate to all ages. They make you work hard but fun and wanting to come back for more. I'm happy that I have signed up to such welcoming Dojo with great support from anyone. This place is opened to all ages. I'm enjoying my experience and excited to be growing with the family.

Haven’t trained jiu jitsu very long but I can say in the short time I have been training my confidence on the mat has gone up big time all thanks to Coach Jeff. He’s an awesome coach who pushes you to not only be the best version of yourself on the mat but as well as off the mat in our daily life. Everybody there treats you like family and is just an awesome place to train!

Enrolled my 2 kids at 10p about 6 months ago. Coach Jeff is very knowledgeable ,very helpful , and supportive. My daughter wanted to do tournaments which was very surprising to me since she is a girly girl. But she has been more focused in school which is great. I would highly recommend 10 p chino hills.

I got back into jiujitsu around 7 months ago, and this gym has really helped me become better than I was before. Both the jiujitsu and wrestling coaches have many years of experience and constantly have new techniques to teach. What makes this gym even greater are the students there. They are always willing to help each other practice so that everyone can improve. This school is well-balanced overall, and I highly recommend giving it a try.

I recently joined 10th Planet, and I am beyond impressed with the level of instruction and training provided. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and skilled, and they create a safe and welcoming environment for all students. I am 37 years old and brand new to Jiu-jitsu and the wrestling world. My wife and our 2 boys (5 and 6 y.o.) also train here at 10th Planet Chino Hills. Since day 1, we were all hooked. We make it a point to attend as many classes as possible because we love the challenge, the coaches, and our teammates. It is also a great way for our children to learn self-defense and discipline, which is a very valuable lifelong skill. Children's classes start at 5 years old. We highly recommend anyone who is interested in challenging themselves physically and mentally to at least try the free introductory class. We hope to see you on the mat.

I joined 10P Chino Hills June 2023 & am LOVING it. Not only is it a great workout, but everyone from coaches to teammates have been kind, helpful and welcoming. I was nervous coming in with no experience but I quickly learned that I didn’t just join a gym but a community of inspiring people who only want to see each other succeed. I was considering joining a yoga studio originally but found out that they offer yoga/mobility training as well! I am grateful this gym has morning and evening classes so no matter what your schedule is, they offer something for everyone. They even offer a free trial class so you have nothing to lose

I joined 10th Planet about 4 weeks ago and have had a really great experience so far! The team is very welcoming and patient. I have felt comfortable the whole time even with being a beginner that had zero knowledge on jiu jitsu prior. Overall I would recommend trying a class and seeing if it is a good fit for you!

The absolute best place to safely train, learn, and rapidly improve! 10P Chino Hills has the most supportive and uplifting culture of anywhere I’ve trained, and I’m ecstatic to attend every session! Been to multiple jiu jitsu gyms but right away felt like this one was all about being a team. Nobody’s selfish with their knowledge and nobody shows any judgement, we just build. Coach Jeff is so detailed with all his techniques it makes it easier to expand your knowledge and become that much better

Outstanding classes, excellent coaching from two talented and dedicated experts at their craft ,Jeff and Emi are awesome members to help welcome new visitors.What you don’t know that is as a team , everyone teaches each other to become better.I would highly recommend this place to everyone and especially for anyone who has or is going into a law enforcement background.Finally outstanding for conditioning or if you just want to lose some weight or stay in shape . I used to feel insecure working out with other people but it’s different here. It’s like one big family and everyone just wants to help each other out. Have to share that this being my first ever jiu jitsu gym I’ve been apart of, I seriously couldn’t imagine anything better. Not only does the training push me to my limits physically and mentally but, have also gained a new passion for the sport all thanks to coach Jeff and all of my teammates there. The level of professionalism coach Jeff has to offer and his insight on details while explaining things is so helpful. Asides of his great coaching, he sets the perfect tone for every practice and provides a comfortable environment for anybody to feel welcomed. Not only do I feel compelled to write this about the gym and coach Jeff but, everyone there as well have been nothing but kind and helpful through my jiu jitsu journey! Again, couldn’t be as grateful and happy to be apart of such a great team with 10th planet chino hills! I recommend coming to this gym to anyone any level or age!

I began my Jiu-Jitsu journey here at 10th Planet Chino Hills on Jan. 2022. Been here since. We all consider each other as family here. First day here, Jeff was very welcoming and made me feel at ease. His hard work and dedication inside and outside of the gym is something I highly look up to. I have trained both go and no gi jiu Jitsu and 10th planet jiu Jitsu is the closest to real life scenarios to protect yourself and loved ones. Professor Jeff (owner and head instructor of 10th planet chino hills) is extremely knowledgeable and pays attention to everyone’s specific needs, he is a gi and no gi black belt and it shows. Coach Jeff is very patient and thorough in his instruction. It's incredible how eager and excited he is to explain his craft after twenty years of experience. The community here is particularly strong. Practitioners are here for hobby, self-defense, and competition alike. The team is young but growing fast. The daily routine is safe and effective. Everyone will certainly make you feel welcome. The 10th Planet System is just as good as people say it is. Don't just take my word. Look into it.

Professor Jeff is an excellent teacher. He is patient and a has calm demeanor when instructing and knows his stuff. He is a black belt under Pedro Sauer and a 10th planet black belt under Jeremy Fields. Coach Emi who runs the morning classes is excellent! She is a high level brown belt who actively competes. Her teaching style is second to none, whether you’re looking to compete, learn self defense or just as a hobby, she will cater to your needs. You can tell she is passionate about the art of jiu Jitsu. She is truly an asset to this studio. Come try a class!

I’ve always want to learn Jiu Jitsu but was nervous and didn’t really know where to start. After a google search I found 10th Planet Chino Hills. I spoke with Jen and she set up a day for me to come in for a free trial to see if was something I would be interested in joining. I showed up with zero knowledge and had the time of my life. Coach Jeff is a master of his craft and an excellent instructor. He takes time to cater to all his students no matter their level of experience. He has a calm demeanor but high energy and keeps you accountable to show up to class. Emi runs the morning classes. She fosters an environment for learning no matter your skill level, pushes the pace of class to maximize the foundational skills of the day, and keeps the workouts/drills fun while maintaining real life applicability. Lastly is the students. Every person that I’ve met in the 10p Chino Hills family has assisted and answered questions on a daily basis to help me grow and get better. All Egos are left at the door. Every time I attend class I leave feeling good about myself and that I’ve learned something I’ll have for life. If you read this entire post I encourage you to get out of your comfort zone and take a chance on yourself! Take the free trial day and hopefully we’ll get to meet each other!

The atmosphere here is great everyone is very friendly and more than willing to help. Coach Jeff is very knowledgeable and walks you through every technique and different situations where the technique can be hit. This helps a lot when it comes to sparring I’m glad I found this place.

Whether you're training Jiu Jitsu for a hobby, self defense, to compete, to stay in shape or all of the above Coach Jeff and Coach Emi will guide whoever walks through the door straight to their desired goals. Speaking for myself I've never felt more safe and relaxed working security in rough locations since I started training. Also have made lots of friends and met the coolest people. I’ve been training on and off in mixed martial arts since 1999…I’ve trained with highly respected coaches around the world…I was very excited when 10th planet jiu jitsu opened a location in chino hills because I’ve always admired their style and respected their philosophy of the art….Jeff the owner is one of the best instructors I have ever learned from….his attention to detail and breaking down every move is great and he makes it easy to understand….he has a wealth of knowledge and he is eager to share with his students…the environment at 10th planet chino hills is great as well with all of the students willing to help each other get better….if you are looking to get in shape, learn how to defend yourself and loved ones, or just want to try out something new I highly recommend you come check it out…..hope to one day be able to train with you….
