Gracie Barra Brandon is truly outstanding! From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed, respected, and part of a family. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu the right way. UPDATE: My son continues to advance his BJJ skills and we couldn’t be happier! He looks forward to his classes and it’s never a fight getting him to attend. He loves gearing up for class! Our youngest son will be hopefully starting soon as well (just needs to be a wee bit older). We started my 4 year old son in November and we couldn’t be happier ❤️ highly recommend bringing your child here for BJJ. It’s done wonders for his ability to focus and is instilling discipline and self-respect! The staff are amazing, patient and kind!

I wanted to share how much my son has enjoyed his classes over the past three months. He always has a fantastic time! The teachers are wonderful – they are so attentive and kind, and I appreciate their ability to set boundaries and keep the children engaged. I have a four-year-old who attends, and my youngest, who is one, will likely be joining the classes when he's old enough. The facility itself is clean, welcoming, and comfortable. They have convenient changing rooms, plenty of space for parents to observe the classes and the play area is great for the little ones.

Professor Vand is simply awesome. His understanding and love for jiu jitsu is deep and authentic. He has produced champions from white to black belt and is a champion himself. He is an incredible teacher that puts his students before himself. He changed my life. It doesn’t matter if you have trained your whole life or it’s your first day. You will learn something special from Vand. He will care for you. A true family man with the heart of a warrior. 10/5 stars.

Professor Vand is an exceptional teacher. My three sons and I had the privilege of training with him in Charleston, where he created an environment that was welcoming, motivating, and fun for students of all ages. His patience, warmth, fun attitude, and positive energy made a lasting impact, especially with the kids, who looked forward to every chance to train with him. The new facility in Brandon looks incredible, and I can’t wait to experience the new location in person. I was very impressed with how the professors and students alike were patient and helpful when working with my 10 year old son that has never had a single BJJ lesson. Everyone appeared supportive and motivated to learn and teach. It was an awesome environment.

Um resumo do q aprendi conhecendo o jiu jitsu, uma época de turbulência o qual faltava algum preenchimento no dia a dia, tinha a correria da vida sim, porém algo pra manter um pouco do fôlego e saúde em dia. Fui pra natação...., não era aquilo q preencheu faltava alguma coisa, foi onde falaram, " Pq vc n faz Jiu Jitsu?! " Fui conhecer a academia de artes marciais, o Jiu Jitsu, primeira aula, quase q n voltei na segunda, de tantas dores nos joelhos, pés, ....SIm, até hj estou nessa arte q tanto me ensinou, uma filosofia q aprendi com meu professor Vandinho e muitos dos colegas q se tornou minha FAMÍLIA....

Comecei a treinar Jiu Jtsu por causa da minha profissão (PM) para defesa pessoal mas me apaixonei e desde então luto até hoje E hoje com muito orgulho tenho 4 filhos uma menina de 6 anos e 3 meninos trigêmeos que começaram a treinar E fiquei muito orgulhoso disso pq eles estão amando Eu tive o previlégio de conhecer e treinar com esse cara extraordinário que é o Vandinho
