I’ve been really impressed with the Mini Gorillas classes. It’s a friendly, welcoming environment and they get straight into training live scenarios instead of too much queuing and drills. I would highly recommend

Absolutely love training at Gorilla Grappling, everyone is so friendly, the atmosphere is excellent and in general everyone is there to improve and help each other, I’ve never felt like I couldn’t ask anyone for help. The coach Austen is a Top Top bloke and you can tell the passion he has for the sport and for his club is next to non! Definitely recommend this place if you’re thinking about joining BJJ

Trying to find a place that does Olympic Wrestling is tough, so when I moved to Holmfirth, I went looking for a wrestling gym and found Gorilla Grappling (they do BJJ and MMA too) . Both Austin and Zoltan are fantastic coaches, and the folks that go to the club are fantastic. I felt welcomed, and it's beginner friendly. Get down for a session, you won't regret it it.

Love training at this academy! Austen breaks techniques down so simply, I feel I can get my head around even more complicated moves. The group I train with in the morning are a cracking bunch and the commeraderie in the club is an honour to be part of. Having that 6am class actually means I can fit BJJ in to my day.

Fantastic club with a really welcoming atmosphere. Austin is a brilliant coach — patient, knowledgeable, and great at explaining things at all levels. The other guys who help run sessions are equally friendly and supportive, and there’s absolutely no ego brought to the mats — everyone genuinely wants to help each other improve. A great place for everyone, from young kids to busy parents trying to fit training around work and family life. I very highly recommend Gorilla Grappling

My son and daughter have been going for around 2 years and absolutely love it. Austen is a great mentor for them, firm and fair. The skills they’ve learned so far are invaluable. Discipline and fun thrown in, perfect hobby for them both whilst learning to handle themselves. Highly recommend for any age/sex

I train here. Great coaching. Really friendly culture and no egos. And early morning sessions so no excuses that you're too busy to train.

Staff are fantastic with children, helping them gain skills within Jiu Jitsu, obedience and friendship skills. Classes are available for both children and adults with multiple classes on throughout the week. Clean and tidy spaces for the classes to take place and also benches for people to stay and watch children in the classes. I cannot recommend Gorilla Grappling Group enough, Elijah loves coming and learning new things.

I don’t often leave reviews. But this is one place that i cannot recommend enough! Whether you want to learn a valuable new skill, test yourself mentally and physically, keep fit, or have fun and meet new people. This place is quite simply amazing! There are no egos, no-one judging, just great people who welcome every person that walks through the door. I wish I had found BJJ and especially a place like this 30 years ago! I encourage everyone I know to give it a try, get their kids involved in the kids classes. You’ll be hard pushed to find a hobby and place like this. Try it, you’ll soon see.
