I decided to give BJJ a go after my kids had been training here for almost 2 years so I could help them out, and now I’m loving it even more than they are! Coach Alvaro is the best - super knowledgeable, patient and incredibly encouraging. I also love the welcoming environment and real sense of community and family. I’m fitter and more flexible than I’ve been in years, and I love the challenge of learning something new. Such a positive experience, I honestly can’t recommend GFT Rockingham enough!
One of the best BJJ gyms in the area! They have a truly world-class coach with almost 30 years as a black belt. He is extremely knowledgeable, humble, helpful, respectful, and professional, with absolutely no ego. Everyone at the gym is super friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel part of the team from day one. The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a BJJ gym. I can’t wait for my son to turn 3 so I can get him started here too! I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking to train BJJ, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner. OSS! 🤙🥋

GFTeam Rockingham is an excellent jiu-jitsu gym with a family-oriented, safe, and welcoming environment. Incredible experience at GFTeam Rockingham. The culture here is exceptional and genuinely welcoming for all ages — from my 3-year-old son, to my 14-year-old, and to myself. Everyone feels valued, supported, and encouraged no matter their skill level. Master Alvero is world-class and truly masterful on and off the mats. Whatever your level, from complete beginner to seasoned person on the mat, all coaches take the time to invest in you. Learning from a world-class professional, including a 3x world champion, is something truly special.
