I appreciate the culture and the ethic that Professor Jess has created here at Freya’s. Jess is a great teacher, we learn a lot, work hard, but definitely have fun on the mats too. Being one of the older guys on the mats, I appreciate how everyone looks out for each other; it really helps me stay injury free! 😀
Posted 7 months agoFreya's Jiu Jitsu is a great place to train! Got a late start to my martial arts journey by starting here at Freya's a little over 3 years ago, and it has been awesome. Jess is a fantastic Jiu Jitsu instructor, very technical but also keeps the class fun! Also the other people who train there are respectful, supportive and have fun. If you are in the Alexandria area I would highly recommend checking out this BJJ gym!
Posted 7 months agoFreya's is fantastic! Coach Jess is very knowledgeable in all facets of jiu jitsu and fosters a very welcoming and accepting environment to learn and train hard. Everyone who trains there is supportive and fun to roll with. She does a great job teaching kids and adult classes alike. Membership is very reasonable. Highly recommend to anyone interested in getting into this rewarding martial art!
Posted 7 months agoDropped into Freya's to train some BJJ and had a really awesome experience! Jessica's got a great teaching style, emphasizing some points I've seen others gloss over. Jessica's other students were very welcoming, and I loved the atmosphere! If you're looking to train martial arts, I recommend Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and if you're near Alexandria, check out Freya's!! Thanks again, Jess! I'm excited to bring what I've learned back to my main gym!
