I’m a long time martial artist and have trained all over ontario, more of an mma based athlete, but I popped into Adios gym one day as my girlfriend lives down the street, and i’ve kind of just been a friend of the gym popping into open mats, Occasionally I will pop in for a quick workout, I usually try and partner with a newer person and help them along through the lesson as a token of appreciation for being able to use the mats. Coming up on 7-8 years of mma training I always enjoyed paying close attention to the kids class prior to mine as i’m a firm believer you can learn a lot from watching a coach teach youth. I popped in, and i’ll just say adios is an amazing coach all around adults teens kids, just in general very knowledgeable legit black belt, but I was generally in awe of the kids - like the etiquette, i’ve never seen so many young kids (some are quite young) so well behaved, so focused on safety and taking care of each other, I was seeing more than experienced kids helping newer kids, it was really like watching a bunch of experience adults except they were small children. I don’t know the trick, but i’ve been all over - Adios is 100% the best youth brazilian jiu jitsu coach i’ve seen and the program is solid. it’s an amazing place everyone is welcoming - if you have a kid who wants to get into jiu jitsu this is the place.
Posted 8 months agoFrom the moment you arrive everybody makes you feel that you belong. The lessons , the care of the teachers while correcting the execution of your practiced moves and the overall ambience make you feel that you took the right decision of signing up at 4-11 Jiu Jitsu.
Posted 9 months agoMy son is thriving here and looks forward to coming to each week. The place is clean and the instructors take the time to address each kid by name. There are multiple instructors for each class to allow for the kids to get corrections more readily while they are practicing. The overall environment is friendly and conducive towards learning and growth, taking the core concepts and being able to apply them beyond just the class.
Posted 11 months agoEdgar, Adio, Clayton, Mike, and all the other professors and coaches have built a wonderful community within our community. The BJJ instruction is top notch while still being consumable by the younger kids. The gym is clean, air conditioned, and has brand new mats that were installed in 2025. Their ethics and morals are top notch too, as the admin staff recently reached out to us to refund an accidental overcharge on our membership dues. And like other decent gyms, they do not charge for grading. An easy 5 stars.
