This is a great Jiu Jitsu facility, I came in for a free lesson just to scope it out and immediately after walking into class, I was greeted with a friendly and encouraging smile. Everyone here has the same goals, get better at Jiu Jitsu and to encourage one another day to day to be the best person they can be. Its a great place to be if you want to become a better person on and off the Mats, it is a great sport to learn whether you want to learn to defend yourself and love ones or if you just want to have fun and improve your physique.

Took a free Jiu Jitsu class with Luke during my stay in Phoenix! The facility was clean, up to date, and staff were friendly and professional. Luke had a very effective teaching method and was easily approachable for questions or clarification. It was very evident that he has a strong knowledge of (and experience in) Jiu Jitsu. He made it fun! Lastly, there was a strong sense of community at Forte. I felt like one with the team when I walked through the door rather than a stranger. Would highly recommend Forte! 10/10

Was invited to stop in and join some friends for BJJ. Loved my first session so much I ended up signing up for more right away. Lovely staff, welcoming atmosphere, and great instructors. Highly recommended to anyone interested in checking out BJJ!

Had an awesome roll at Forte BJJ! The environment was super welcoming, and the level of instruction and training partners was top-notch. Everyone was respectful, skilled, and clearly dedicated to helping each other improve. Whether you're just visiting or looking for a home gym, Forte BJJ is definitely worth checking out. The gym is super dope. And the gym is super nice and clean. Trained for 4 months with the coach luke. He is such great coach and mentor. I would always choose this place if i were a beginner again. Thanks 🍻

Luke is a fantastic teacher. Detailed, patient and focused on the betterment of his students. Many gyms teach the techniques of BJJ but Luke teaches concepts that allow his students to understand why we do the techniques and why they work. This creates athletes who truly understand the sport and may one day themselves become a black belt with the ability to teach others.

this is a really fantastic, welcoming, community-focused place! I’ve attended several of the free monthly women’s self-defense classes; they’ve been very inclusive, informative, and FUN! I had never previously even stepped foot in any sort of martial art / combat sport training facility, ever. but I would feel totally comfortable taking any class here! the instructors are clearly knowledgeable and kind, and open to people who are brand new to the sport.

Got to attend the free women's self defense classes on 11/23 and 1/18! I am a complete beginner, so coming into these spaces is a little intimidating sometimes, but everyone was super friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make the newbies feel comfortable. Mina is an excellent instructor who was happy to take her time explaining things and offer support when needed. Not only did I work up a good sweat but I also had a lot of fun! Will be going back FOR SURE!

Everyone at Forte is the absolute best! From the coaches to the other students, everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming. There are students and coaches of all skill levels to learn from and Luke is a patient and knowledgeable teacher. I couldn’t recommend Forte enough!

I recently had the pleasure to visit the Forte Jiujitsu dojo, and I was quite impressed with the professional team they had and how they immediately greeted me. Coaches Luke, Mina, and Alberto bring with them years of experience, but also years as a team which is evident with the tight coordination. I have 10+ years of Judo and grappling experience and would confidently recommend Forte for you or your family. I also appreciate they are bringing a much needed service for our youth and adults to our admittedly underserved community. Osu!

As a beginner w/ only a months worth of training at another gym I had a great experience coming to my first class at Forte! The owner, Luke, seems to value taking time and attention for beginners/newcomers and I certainly feel like I’ve absorbed a lot in a short amount of time. Definitely appreciate the quality, pace and sequence of how he trains beginners like myself. Excitement to return for my next class is piqued!

Really welcoming BJJ class. I communicated with Luke by email several times before attending my first class and he was very accommodating of my athletic abilities and health issues. The class had several beginners from their 20s to 40s mixed men and women. I was offered a very generous starting price and will be attending for the coming weeks. They are preparing for a Jiu Jiutsu competition in January and celebrating their 1 year anniversary in February. Check them out!

I’ve been a member for a couple weeks now and I’m loving it! Everyone is so nice and really made me feel welcome. I’m coming back from an injury and i’ve never felt pressured to do more than Im comfortable with. Even tho the pricing is much more affordable than my last school the people and the level of instruction is so much more valuable.

great instructors, highly supportive community, and high quality athletes! If you’re a high level grappler, or bone stock beginner Luke is there to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Have tried multiple gyms in the surrounding area and Forte had everything I was looking for in a gym.

The people at Forte are welcoming, friendly, patient, and have a vast amount of BJJ and catch wrestling experience. Not only do they have that knowledge, but they are great teachers who are able to demonstrate and communicate that knowledge to all skill levels. Coach Luke has done a fantastic job and Forte is going to be a dominant force under his stewardship for a long time.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly atmosphere. The coaches are not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also genuinely care about each students progress. Coach Luke, Mina, Aaron & Beto, all take the time to ensure everyone feels comfortable and supported, regardless of skill level. The classes, which range from Jiu jitsu, Judo, and boxing are all well constructed and engaging, making it easy to learn while having fun. I’ve seen such great improvements in my technique already. If you’re looking for a place to train with great people and exceptional coaches, I can’t recommend Forte Jiu Jitsu enough!

My first-ever Jiu Jitsu class was at Forte a week ago, and everyone was incredibly welcoming and patient. My friend Mina introduced me, and we had an awesome class; worked on all sorts of techniques. Luke, the owner, is talented and welcoming too. It's a great gym for a rookie like myself, or even a blackbelt looking to start sharp and spar with others. I'll definitely be back—thanks, everyone!

"I just hopped into Jiu-Jitsu at Luke's classes, and wow, it's been awesome! Even though I've done some other martial arts, this is a whole new ball game.
