Master Nick is elite. The way he teaches the art, the fluid movements, the massive skill, and the way he communicates is super easy to comprehend. The martial arts he teaches is a very practical style where he focuses on form, theory, footwork, yin/yang movement. He will fix any bad habits you have. Just wrapped up both the in-person training and Patreon course with Nick. Wow! What stood out most was how simple and well-structured the instruction was. He tied together concepts from multiple martial arts while keeping everything centered around one core lesson, making it easy to understand and immediately apply. If you're on the fence about the Patreon, I'd highly recommend joining. It's a great way to continue building on the material between seminars and see how all the pieces fit together over time. Definitely worth it.
I've taken only a few lessons from here but I got a huge amount of knowledge, perspectives, and details about Muay Thai, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu from Nick that I never had even remotely heard of before. After 8 years of MMA it felt like learning from scratch. Nick has a truly unique skillset in teaching that is reflected in how well the very dedicated class is paying attention and everyone is there to learn and hungry to improve.
I’ve recently spent 11 months training Bjj during my time in London. Coach Nick is extremely knowledgeable and has great technical demonstrations. Nick and the team were very welcoming. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested to give them a go.
I have only moved to London recently and was looking for a good Muay Thai gym. At Forrer Martial Arts Academy I didn’t just find that, but also an opportunity to explore new disciplines with a fantastic team. The coach Nick is respectful and knowledgeable with many years of experience in teaching martial arts. This makes the environment particularly safe and fully dedicated to these disciplines. I haven’t left one single class without learning some new skills or curiosities about fighting. I would definitely recommend the academy to both beginners and advanced levels.
Nick (Coach) is not only an incredible teacher of Martial Arts, but an amazing mentor. Great students, with a sound etiquette encouraged from Nick and the array of higher belts. A clean and well equipped space. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this Academy.
FMA is absolutely fantastic. Nick’s teaching is incredibly detailed, and my jiu-jitsu has improved massively over the past two years. The atmosphere is friendly, and overall it’s a great environment to learn martial arts.
Enjoyable Muay Thai and MMA classes. Nick is a very good teacher and is great at conveying the small details to everyone. His demos are good and his style makes it easy to pick things up quickly. Highly recommend.

Posted 3 years agoNick is a very good coach, with focus on small details which help your game massively. Nick gives specific notes on where people are struggling, making these corrective notes in a memorable way. More advanced students also help out a lot and share tips to improve. Useful for all levels for both BJJ and Muay Thai.
Posted 3 years agoNick is an excellent teacher with a methodical style. I think he teaches some of the most authentic Muay Thai that I have experienced. I am always learning important lessons that extend way beyond the techniques that we are learning in class. If you pay attention you will get a lot out of him. There is also a great community at the gym, once you settle in you’ll be regularly given a warm reception from the other students.
Posted 6 years agoNick is an excellent teacher whose patience is seemingly endless when faced with slower-paced learners. The sessions all focus on specific moves and Nick explains how they relate to BJJ overall. I have trained here for the last 4 months and would be more than happy to recommend Nick, and the academy to anyone wanting high quality lessons within an inclusive and fun environment.
