Pros: owners hearts in right place but Cons: pricey for a kids membership plus a lot of times I see older kids running the class so not really paying for teachers expertise, 3mos/$600 notice to end membership, Small small place no with duct tape on mats never seen cleaned between classes, some equipment stored with janitorial supplies, like other reviews stated beware of administrative issues related to accounts and billing and just general business oversight No regrets to find out my kid liked bbj but there’s a lot better places around
Posted a month agoMy kids have been participating here for over a year now and I'm loving watching them learn, grow, build confidence, and create relationships. The family that teaches here has strong core values that come through in their teaching. I'm hoping to start classes myself as soon as I can. Updating my review from a few months ago... Have taken the "yoga" class and was surprised at how awesome I felt with the multi dimensional approach. Now having taken a private BJJ session, I see how they support each other. Very excited to join the group classes and this amazing community.
Posted 4 years agoMy husband and I have had the pleasure of training with with Mike & Sheena for 13 + years now. They are knowledgeable & profoundly skilled in the art of jujitsu. Relating jujitsu to your daily life is just one of the many values/lessons they teach. You truly receive a full spectrum experience here, we are beyond grateful 🙏🏼♥️
Posted a year agoHad my kid enrolled here and it was a nice little place to discover my kid did enjoy bjj however it’s a super tiny place and costs more than almost every other gym so it was a bummer to pay so much and not even get to sit in and watch your kid. ($200 for 2 45min classes a week, that also get interrupted by the next class because the place is so small they have no choice but to walk across the mats of the current classes training). Check the place out you’ll see what I mean
Posted 10 months agoI'd give it 6 stars if I could! Seriously, I can't say enough great things about Flo Life BJJ and Mike Bidwell! Not only does Mike run a hugely popular site (BJJ After 40) he's created an absolutely amazing academy. Whether you're an experienced grappler, or first timer, this is the school for you and an experience that few other academies can offer..If you're in the Denver area do yourself and solid and go check out Flo Life BJJ!
