Chris is one of the most experienced and rounded martial artists in the UK, so having that experience right in the little town of Thame is an amazing privilege. He's put together a team of coaches that deliver brilliant sessions, with a great atmosphere and a fab bunch of people. Perfect for complete beginners and more experienced trainees alike, I'd highly recommend.

I wanted to start a new activity for health and social reasons. When I was approaching 40, I had two choices: padel or jiu-jitsu. I chose the latter, and I’m glad I did. A year later, I have a solid training structure, great motivation, and a supportive group of people who help me improve and de-stress after a long workday. I would recommend this club and activity to anyone in a similar situation.
Chris, Julia and Phil run an amazing set of classes. From their children’s classes, our children do both the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and Karate. They love the classes and teachers and have learned skills they carry across into other sports like their rugby and daily life. It’s been a real game changer for our eldest who struggled with focus and a fantastic social network for them both to make new friends. As an adult starting recently I have loved both the Karate and BJJ classes. The Senseis and Professors are brilliant. I’ve also been lucky enough to be at a few classes with guest teachers which were also fantastic. For both children and adults I can out recommend them enough. You’ll gain fitness, flexibility, the odd ache and pain at my age too but most importantly skills and confidence you can use along with new people and friends. 100% recommend!
