Definitely grateful for Ali for taking the lead with the women's jiu jitsu/self defense class! I've always wanted to the learn this sport but could not find a gym that suited my schedule and be tailored for women. I'm not particularly ready to be training with men just yet. This class fit perfectly for me. It's empowering, beginner-friendly, and the women are so supportive of each other learning and growing.

Motivated coaches! I am very passionate and patient with our kids, especially my 3 year old. They have specialized in different age groups and make each person in the room feel like family. It's definitely a great place to try out with or without experiences.
Coaches Ali, Alexander, Clarissa, and Alex did an outstanding job making each class of the summer Jiu-Jitsu program for kids both fun and engaging. The coaches had a fantastic way of redirecting the kids and capturing their attention while teaching important techniques using child-friendly terms. The "dinosaur roar" was a particular favorite among the group, Each coach was incredibly patient, motivating, and provided positive praise that kept the kids enthusiastic and involved. They made sure to acknowledge every student, giving each one a chance to participate in all activities, from greetings and warm-ups to techniques and the Big 10s. Overall, the summer program was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-rounded and supportive environment for their kids to learn Jiu-Jitsu.
We signed up for the 3-5 year old program at Family Tree JiuJitsu this past summer. This was my son’s first ever opportunity to be in any structured, educational setting and I am so glad we made the choice to do it. Classes were engaging and accepting of all student’s different levels and experiences. My son loved being a part of the class and especially loved the opportunities to run and move. Totally recommend if you are looking for a place to feel welcomed!
Our family is happy to have found Family Tree Jiu Jitsu. My 3 yo and 8 yo recently signed up and they are having so much fun. The summer program for kids under 5 was so well planned out and perfect to get the wiggles out for the kids and learn the basics. I’m really impressed with the older kids class as well, they structure the class perfectly and all of the kids have great attitudes and take care of each other. Both my kids are getting stronger and building confidence, there are no better coaches than Ali, Clarissa, and Alex.
we have our son taking classes here and all the coaches AND other kids are incredibly respectful and supportive of him. We highly recommend the kids classes here.
Definitely recommend for those who want to get in shape and learn self defense! I started out as a complete beginner and have made a lot of progress thanks to the positive, encouraging environment the classes have.

The workouts are awesome, and the atmosphere is super positive and welcoming. Highly recommended. If you're trying to lose weight, pick up self-defense skills, or just learn something new, definitely try this place out.
Being apart of the Family Tree team has been such a rewarding experience. The team and coaches are always welcoming, friendly and empowering for myself and my nieces in nephews in the kids class. Family Tree has made it very easy to star learning BJJ. From their friendly coaches and staff to the great group of students they have gathered so far. Everything has been perfect for anyone at any age to start their BJJ journey with. I’m looking forward to continuing getting better at the material art with the awesome coaches there: Alex, Jesse and Ali.
