Training at Expedition has been life changing. Yes, the instruction is outstanding but the community at the school can’t be matched. I’ve trained there since 2019. I have never once had to talk myself into going. Every time I’m there it’s a blast. I’m thankful for the friends I’ve made and the opportunities I’ve had to challenge myself and compete. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you aren’t trading here you are missing out. Come check it out. You won’t regret it.
What an amazing and accepting atmosphere, I never felt judged for being a beginner. Can’t recommend enough, If you want to train BJJ!!!!
The training environment here is incredibly welcoming, friendly, from the moment you step onto the mats. The coach brings amazing energy to every single class, keeping motivation high. I also feel the membership fees are highly affordable compared to other academies in the area.
Jiu-Jitsu is a sport so incredibly complex and vast, and the gym Brock runs perfectly allows you to explore that vastness. The training is dynamic and difficult. I highly recommend for teenagers, I’ve been here 2 years and don’t feel any less excited about the sport since I joined!
A great instructor, good and welcome students and an excellent facility.
If you’re thinking about trying Jiu-Jitsu but feel a bit intimidated walking into a gym for the first time, I can’t recommend Expedition Jiu-Jitsu enough. I trained here when I was living in Regina, and it was easily one of the most welcoming and positive environments I’ve experienced. Brock is an excellent teacher. Instead of rigid, step by step instruction, he uses practical drills that encourage you to problem solve and adapt in real time. That approach makes a huge difference because it actually translates to what happens when you’re rolling with someone who’s resisting. Another thing I really appreciated is that the training isn’t limited to just traditional Jiu-Jitsu and incorporated wrestling, which made the overall learning much more well rounded. Brock is also just a genuinely great person. Approachable, patient, and understanding. He recognizes that everyone has different schedules and levels of commitment, and he meets you where you’re at without any pressure. On top of that, he’s always reading and sharing interesting ideas and book recommendations, which added a personal touch to the training sessions. The culture in the gym is also amazing. The higher belts are supportive and approachable. They let you experiment and grow instead of just shutting you down. That made a huge difference, especially for someone new like me. During my time there, I made real progress and genuinely looked forward to every class. The only reason I stopped going was because I moved provinces. Otherwise, I’d be training there forever. Anytime I’m back in Regina, even if it’s just for a short visit, I’ll be making time to drop in. If you’re on the fence about starting, this is the place to do it. Also Brock, I hope you, Sam, Bobby, Shane, Hunter, Boris, Andy, Tai, Andrew, The Singlet Superstar and everyone else is doing well! Can’t wait to meet you all again :)))
Great gym to train in and learn jiu jitsu. Brock and Sam are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and maintain a very clean gym and positive environment. Classes are a great balance between being enjoyable, yet challenging. Glad I signed up and excited to continue training here!
My son absolutely loves coming here! The instructors are amazing with kids, patient, encouraging, and great at building confidence while teaching solid jujitsu skills. It’s a fun, safe environment where kids thrive. Highly recommend!
My two boys enjoyed the free trails and were going to get them in for classes. Brock and Samantha are great coaches. Great place for young kids! Also this place is so clean.
