I went for first time ever doing any kind of combat training. I was so nervous and didn't know what to expect. Everyone made me feel so welcomed, I felt safe and challenged. And even moreso I found a community of kind people. Could not reccomend more for someone wanting to give jiu jitsu a chance.

Keisuke and his crew of coaches are great at teaching to all levels. Absolutely a top notch experience training here.

In an area where there is a rich and widespread martial arts culture such as Portland, many clubs will have different vibes and ways that they are run. When finding a fit can be difficult, I believe Enso is unique in how it has something for everyone and what it offers for training. I was fortunate to find Enso when I did: They were extremely welcoming, the atmosphere is fantastic and positive with instruction that often feels more personal and thoughtfully considered rather than rote and routine. There is room for people at all skill levels, especially notable is the number of high level practitioners who continue to train alongside the beginners, personally coach and support those still finding their way. The culture here is second to none, it quickly became more than just a place to train, but a place I am extremely thankful to be able to call home.
This place is great for beginners and for advance practitioners. Instructors are patient, kind and clear with instructions. The kids program is the best I have seen as well. Its not like other dojos were there is just an aggressive and posturing atmosphere. The head instructor is legit and demonstrates great skill, understanding and most of all, character!
Enso is awesome. I hadn’t done any martial arts since I was young and was interested in getting back into it and found this as my closest option that offered Jiu Jitsu. Looking into it a bit I found that Keisuke was highly regarded. The community is kind and helpful, from the very first class I felt right at home. Whether you are looking for a regular gym or just somewhere to drop in I highly recommend Enso Jiu Jitsu.
I have trained in jiu jitsu as well as mma here at Enso. The instructors are patient, professional, and knowledgeable. The material is applicable, and the other students are respectful and helpful. This is a great experience for someone wanting to further their own knowledge base and be challenged in new ways!

Started training here with no experience around 2 months ago and since then I’ve been hooked! All of the coaches are AMAZING! Highly recommend trying it out. The community is wonderful as well. No matter how much you’ve trained, you’ll be welcomed with open arms! Just stop procrastinating and hop in!

I’ve been training here for almost 6 years and have made Enso my second home. It’s a great place to train jiu jitsu and mma. If you are looking for a welcoming atmosphere, detailed techniques, and training partners at all levels, this is the perfect location! Of course you get what you put in but it’s a fantastic environment for building your martial arts skill set and getting an unmatched workout while having fun!
I have been with Enso Jiu Jitsu for nearly two years, and hope to be a lifelong member. I was nervous about entering a Jiu Jitsu Academy, but I felt welcomed immediately. Training with Professor Keisuke and the other coaches is a lot of fun, and a great way to stay in shape.
We love this gym so much our whole family trains here. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. Keisuke is a very patient and kind instructor.
Enso is by far the best gym in town. Great instruction with lots of detail. Keisuke always makes sure that everyone in the room is learning something. This gym is for ALL levels and ALL ages. There is a class available every day of the week. I would recommend this gym to anyone in the Oregon City area. Kids classes are available as well!

This is where I began Ju Jitsu, having zero martial arts or wrestling background. I was nervous going in, but immediately felt safe and welcome. The instruction from Keisuke was extremely clear and technique focused. Then 6 different members, Keisuke included, came up to me to practice during our training and answered any question I had. I didn't expect experienced members would want to roll with the new guy. I also had some 1on1 time with Jose, which was incredible and very detailed. This is everything I was looking for when starting. Safety focused, family like community, and experts in the filed teaching with patience and a love for the sport.
I've been training here for just over a year. It's been a great experience and I look forward to continuing my growth with Keisuke and the other coaches
Top notch instruction with a huge emphasis on technical details. The positive atmosphere and camaraderie is unlike any gym I've ever been to. Definitely worth stopping in for a class and some great rolls!

Enso Jr. Dragons has to be the best kids Jiu Jitsu class in town. They take great care of the children and they are supportive of competitions. My children placed in every competition they've entered so far. Very fun class but also very disciplined.
Enso Jiu Jitsu is one of the TOP facilities I have trained and been able to roll at. There are practioners at all levels there from beginner to high level brown belts. Keisuke is the owner and head coach. His calm methodic, and technical approach to this art exceeds my expectations. I would highly recommend trying out his place, and I do believe they are moving to their own dedicated Gym in Oregon City. I do not currently attend his Gym but he always welcomes Drop ins. But don't let his Blue belts deceive you, they are HIGH level! :) I always learn so much when I have time to stop by his Dojo.
Being a smaller guy I feel very fortunate to train under Keisuke's tutelage. Many of the members are near my weight and those that are bigger are very technique driven foremost. The focus on technique and the safety of your training partner is great! If you want to learn Jiu Jitsu in gi, no-gi or MMA come give ENSO JJ a try! :)
After traveling around and experiencing many gyms within Oregon and some in other states I have to say that when it comes to instruction and quality training partners, Enso Jiu Jitsu is the best I have found. The owner/head instructor Keisuke Andrew is an accomplished grappler and mixed martial artist who can take his experiences and helps you learn from them. Everyone in the gym is very nice, skilled, and VERY passionate about Jiu Jitsu. Regardless of your level whether it be an experienced veteran or someone completely new, Enso Jiu Jitsu is the place for you. I have been training at Enso Jiu Jitsu under Keisuke Andrew for over a year and I love it. In addition to Jiu Jitsu, Enso offers MMA, Judo, Wrestling, Muay Thai, and Boxing.
I stumbled across Enso Jiu Jitsu by pure luck last spring. Since training here, Keisuke, his team of coaches and the members of Enso have turned Jiu Jitsu and MMA from a past time and workout to a passion for me. Not a class goes by when I don't feel like I've learned a tremendous amount about the martial arts, myself and life. At Enso you are only required to be respectful and try your best. If you would only like to study the art and get into shape then you may participate to your own comfort level. Coming from a non grappling background I was a little nervous about joining a jiu-jitsu gym. The atmosphere and instruction at Enso is second to none and the coaches and members welcomed me with open arms. I was able to gain confidence at my pace and there wasn't pressure to spar until I was ready. If you're looking for great jiu-jitsu instruction, or just a good workout, Enso is the place to for you.
All I can say is great. Great members, great coaches, great location, I feel great arriving and leaving, just great. I have been a part of Enso jiu jitsu now for 6 months and am so impressed with the class structure and member participation that I recommend everyone to come give a class a try. Go team Enso!!
