  I am a female purple belt visiting from Texas to crosstrain and see my friend Evelyn get promoted to black belt. EDJ has plenty of mat space and seating for parents watching their kids train, lots of natural lighting w a beautiful view, clean mats and two clean restrooms. EDJ is very family oriented and welcoming to new comers, I was very pleased to see three female black belts along w other low/high ranked women supporting each other. The head coach professor JP is also very welcoming and professional. I really enjoyed my short time at EDJ and look forward to visiting again next time I’m in Cali. OSS🤙🏼💜

  I often feel like I got lucky that EDJ was my first school, because the friends I’ve made here are incredible. The curriculum is challenging, and when I am able to successfully do a move, it’s so rewarding. The instructors are patient and don’t ever make you feel like a burden. Thanks for letting me be a part of the family, EDJ!

  EDJ is Amazing! If you are already an experienced grappler, you will find that training at EDJ will demand your best self, as everyone on the mat is very well trained. The instructors are very knowledgeable, kind, and powerful people, who righteously teach the true authentic form of Jiu Jitsu. If you are new to the Martial Art and looking for a safe space to learn - EDJ is the place for you. Head Professor, Mr. Juan Garcia, is extremely warm spirited and professional. He is a great leader that protects his tribe but also delivers great training to build his students up into strong people first and powerful grapplers second. My experience at EDJ has been top tier and I would recommend this school to anyone ranging from beginner to competitor. Thank you for welcoming me in!

  Started training at EDJ approximately 6 months ago. Professor JP and all the coaches are extremely friendly, and create such a great learning environment for every person. Additionally, there is a sense of family amongst all students. Training is super fun and competitive. Even for people that don’t want to compete, the professor sets a great environment to ensure everyone is getting a great workout and learning experience. I would recommend this Jiu-Jitsu academy to anyone who seeks that brotherhood feeling, similar like the military. I look forward to training here for many years to come 🤙🏾 Update: 4 1/2 years later still here! Instructions are better than ever, amazing energy, environment and people. If you are looking for a place where your family can train, look no further. We literally have a ton of parents, kids and extended family members training here. Amazing professors, thank you for setting the best environment JP & Kim 🙏🏾

  Joining this academy and being a part of the EDJ team is one of the best decisions I’ve made by far. It is a great school for kids and adults to learn Jiu Jitsu, stay in shape and grow closer together. My kids and I have been training here for close to 2 years and all love it. Professor JP and Professor Kim are great leaders and great people in general.
