Amazing, Top Tier martial arts academy in Boulder. I have trained Jiu Jitsu consistently 2-3 days a week for 4.5 years now. My BJJ Journey began at Easton and it will always hold a dear place in my heart. The instruction and culture at Easton is Paramount. You won’t find better people than Elliot Marshall, Matt Bloss, and Mike their President! GODSPEED ETC FAM!
Posted 8 months agoStopped by Easton in Boulder for the first time this afternoon and had an incredible time training. Being a white belt from a gym across the country, it’s great to receive instruction from new coaches—everyone here was welcoming, friendly, and willing to train and roll with me. No gi class was great and open mat after drilling was no less. I’m excited to come in a few more times while I’m in town visiting for the holiday. If you’re traveling through boulder or looking for a new gym, you’ll be super happy with this spot.
Posted 9 months agoAs a Marine veteran visiting Boulder for the week, I’m extremely grateful I decided to stop by Easton Training Center. I came specifically for jiu-jitsu, and the level of training, professionalism, and atmosphere here exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment I walked in, the staff and coaches treated me with respect and genuine hospitality. The vibe in the gym is exactly what you want as a traveling student—clean, organized, welcoming, and full of people who truly love the art. The jiu-jitsu instruction here is greater . Every class I attended was structured, technical, and taught with purpose. The coaches didn’t just run drills—they explained the reasoning, the details, and the strategy behind everything. As someone who’s trained at different gyms across the country, I can honestly say Easton Boulder stands out for the quality of its teaching and its culture of discipline mixed with humility. Rolling with their students was another highlight. Everyone—from white belts to upper ranks—rolled clean, controlled, and with great intensity. I never once felt unsafe, and I always felt challenged. It’s the perfect balance of hard training and smart training. You can tell their jiu-jitsu program produces sharp students who understand both technique and etiquette. Easton also offers a ton of other classes—Muay Thai, striking, fitness—and I wish I had more time because everything on their schedule looked legit. The energy in the gym makes you want to train more, try more, and push yourself. Whether you’re a traveler looking for a place to get quality rounds or someone living in Boulder searching for a home gym, Easton Training Center is one of the best environments you can train in. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town—and I’m looking forward to diving into even more of their program.
Posted 9 months agoEaston Boulder has been so welcoming, encouraging, and such a great work out!
Great training environment, stellar systems, and world class instruction. I started my Jiu Jitsu journey in Nashville with Shawn Williams at Renzo Gracie Nashville. When I told him we were moving to Boulder, he said: "Go to Easton. That's where you want to be." So... look no further. This is your spot. Grateful to be a part of the team 💪
This place is awesome. No matter what your level, you'll learn and get better.
Very welcoming atmosphere. Knowledgeable, friendly and patient staff. Very clean/hygienic gym. Awesome flexible schedule. As someone who is brand new to both BJJ and kickboxing, I highly recommend
This is a fantastic place to train. The gym is clean, well-equipped, and welcoming. Absolutely amazing!
Love the gym, training partners and coaches. Easton has made a significant positive impact on my life. Forever grateful for this place.
Was visiting Boulder from out of town and was looking for a place to train for a couple days. Everybody I met at Easton was extremely friendly and accommodating. The gym is full of jiu jitsu knowledge and a great place for anybody to train
The staff are so engaged, the other students and families are so into it- we aren’t really a martial arts family but decided to give this a try and our second (now third) -grader is sold! Love this spot.
Friendly staff and trainers, clean environment, and just overall thankful to have found this place.
Great Muay Thai coaching, great community! Well maintained facility. Very happy with the experience here. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to train in the Boulder area!
Easton is an 10/10, A++, gym Trained here while in town for thanksgiving and had an amazing time. If you are looking to start your martial arts journey in Boulder this is the place! They will take good care of you and teach you excellent technic that you can trust as effective. If I live in Boulder I would have signed up after the first class.
I noticed myself losing inspiration in my normal day to day exercise routine and was hoping to find a modality that I looked forward to. Easton has been exactly that for me. I am only 5 classes in but I am loving it! I can't wait to get to each class and I can feel my body and mind getting stronger even in this short window. Each coach has been helpful and unique and the vibe is inclusive and respectful.
The strong rooted environment that is felt in a great facility(ies) with Black Belt Professors and Coaches that are knowledgeable and driven to make you better. I really enjoy the feeling of being a part of a special community at Easton. Thanks for all you do!!!
Easton is more than a traning center it's a family. For the day one beginner you will find a safe, friendly and positive environment to learn. For the seasoned pro you will get world class instruction, strong and technical training partners and expert coaching. For the children you will find a fun and constructive environment for your children to learn and grow. Easton is more than a traning center it's a family, and a great place for your entire family.
The instructors at Easton are top notch.
We love the family environment. The coaches really take time with each student to bring them up and teach them. Safety is a priority and making it a fun place to learn seems to be a priority. We love it and will be an Easton family for years to come
The social and physical aspect of jujutsu is nothing but therapeutic. I would wholeheartedly recommend Easton to anyone!
Amazing, clean facility with a great community, and experienced instructors. Great for families and individuals alike. Friendly to all ages, and skill levels. I have made new friends here, and introduced old friends to the gym, as well. Easton is a proper martial arts gym that respects tradition, and everyone that gives it a shot. I can’t say enough about Easton and its management. Give it a shot! You wont be disappointed.
My family loves Easton! I have two daughters in the BJJ class and so we're there 1, often 2 days a week. Every employee there is awesome! They are all nice, welcoming and helpful. The coaches of the Tigers classes are the best, especially coach Arthur, my girls favorite! I love that each class has 4 or 5 (sometimes more) coaches who are always helping with technique or just encouraging the kids when they're practicing moves. I feel like this is a mandatory life skill for my girls, so if we didn't love it, I would've found a place we did. Highly recommend!
I'm from Brazil, I was visiting Boulder and despite not speaking English very well, I was very well received at the Easton Training Center. The training is very technical and I highly recommend the gym!
Highly recommend. I am in town for work and they were nice enough to let me drop in for a class. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m here.
The best training center! The kindest people and community, truly unmatched. The instructors are very skilled and focus on technique, mindfulness, and progressive skill building. Always leave feeling absolutely incredible. Moved away and miss it so much but every time I’m back in Colorado, I look forward to visiting the studio! Always feel right at home, shout out Fernie :) Hope you expand to the east coast!
Hardest working gym in boulder !
Great place to learn martial arts. Great teachers and staff
My team, my community, my second home ❤️
I was from out of town and was hoping to get some Muay Thai/ kickboxing training in while visiting Boulder. I am from the East Coast and there isn't always a... strong or friendly culture of allowing out of town drop-ins. I was gobsmacked to find how welcoming and gracious Easton was to strangers looking to train. The facility has plenty of mat space and so there are a ton of classes each day. I had a great experience and really appreciate your openness. I hope to see you again!
Cant say enough great things about Easton Boulder. Top notch employees who really get to know you and your family. It means a lot and my kids love it!
I love these place I had been here since my sophomore year at college. I tried to find another place in tampa but I couldn't
Easton is amazing. Instruction is amazing and it is a great training facility.
Easton Boulder is a fantastic place to train jiu jitsu. Been a member for 6 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. Great vibe, coaches, community, and clean mats! Really enjoy the noon classes with Fernie!
I can only speak to Easton's capacity as far private lessons are concerned as I am not a regular member. Coach Arthur is the instructor that coaches me and he is the man. Best martial arts coach I've ever had. That includes coaches in BJJ, wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai, and MCMAP. His ability to explain movements, technique, etc from a step by step to a 10000ft conceptual view is unparalleled in my experience. Couldn't recommend more!
Professional atmosphere, friendly staff, and a fun place to train!
Killer facility with the friendliest people. Lucky to be able to train there on my visit to Boulder.
Great facility with incredible instructors and staff. Whether you're an experienced student or a total beginner, Easton can accommodate whatever level you're coming in at. I like that there offer so many classes at varying times, making it easy to fit in sessions around your schedule.
Great studio!! Amazing kids & adult classes. Clean and well kept establishment. Very highly trained and knowledgeable coaches. Highly recommend!
We've looked at a new place for our kids for a while, and are very happy with the kids class.
Always an amazing experience at Easton. Such a great community and overall place to train.
So much fun. Great vibe. Awesome instruction. All levels welcome.
Our family found Easton over half a dozen years ago when our son was dealing with being bullied in middle school -- Easton was recommended as a great place for a young person to learn defensive skills while building physical confidence in a supportive environment. That young man is now in college and still part of the Easton community and still loving it -- and he's now gotten his empty-nesting mom to start kickboxing and I'm loving it, too! Easton feels like the "old Boulder" to me -- super welcoming, kind, and incredibly supportive -- it's such a great place for getting active again and back into shape while learning great skills with great people. Can't recommend the whole Easton community highly enough!
Dropped into Easton’s War @ 4 on Fridays with a few of my team members from another gym. The staff, coaches, and every single person we interacted and trained with were so welcoming and friendly. Their facilities are clean and spacious. The gym also has a great setup with multiple rooms dedicated to BJJ, Muay Thai, and weight training. I’m sure I’ll be back to train again soon!
Best place to train in the Denver area!
I was visiting for the month of July from Miami and needed a place to continue training. I had actually had my eye and had been checking out Easton for a while leasing up to our trip. Easton was everything I had hoped for and more! The staff and all the coaches and training partners were all excellent and very inviting from day one. I miss the gym & hope to be back soon! M
I visited Easton for 2 days while visiting boulder from germany and attended the kickboxing class and the bjj class. I was received extremely friendly in both of them and everything was explained to me calmly, so that I could follow with my standard english. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Easton Training Center again for the hospitality and the good training!
I had the privilege of training with Professor Easton and the crew while passing through Boulder. From the staff to the training crew I couldn’t have felt more welcomed and the session was full value. They’ve got an incredible facility and community and I’m excited to visit more of their gyms in my travels. Awesome gis, rashguards, and swag for sale too! Keep it up, y’all.
I love this place, great people, great jiu jitsu.
They’re lovely people and all the classes I attended were great.
Awesome instructors and great atmosphere. The best BJJ training in Boulder
It's rare to find someone who cares about their job as much as Arthur Yensan. He genuinely cares about his students and the quality of instruction he puts out. He obviously puts a lot of thought into his lessons and doesn't just show up and pick something random to teach us. He quickly learns everyone's name and remembers them, which is beyond impressive given the amount of students he trains. Thanks Arthur.
I went to Easton Boulder for 3 weeks whilst travelling and was thoroughly impressed. They’re lovely people and all the classes I attended were great. I’ve visited a bunch of BJJ gyms in the past and highly recommend going here if you’re planning on starting the sport or visiting the area.
Dropped in for a class, was a really good time. Welcoming gym and good training
This is the gem of Boulder for fitness. You walk in and regardless of it being a martial art training gym, there is no ego. There's something about hard work and intellect combining in one place that makes it that this is the place that people go to to become a "harder to kill person". Whether it's a mental strength goal (myself) or the person wants to actually become a MMA fighter, you have the opportunity to become a stronger person here. Highly recommend, there's nothing like walking in and having people call you by your name, making sure that every day is a great experience.
I started training jiu jitsu here in September and the staff has been awesome. I have classes with Coach Arthur and Coach Flynn primarily and they do a great job both teaching the technique and motivating me to get better. Also gotta shout out coach Fernie for being another rad motivating presence at the gym.
Coaches with attention to detail. A very friendly community and most importantly a very good sparring culture which enables you to learn, irrespective of your current skill level and future goals
A nearly addictive learning experience without having to worry about dislocating your shoulder by a random meat head. If you’re reading this, you’re considering giving it a try; I’m here to tell you that you won’t regret it.
Everyone at Easton is so friendly, and the staff seem to make a conscious effort to connect with all members. There's a tremendous level of respect for the dojo, the sport, and each other that is very apparent, even to a novice like me. It doesn't hurt that it's also an amazing workout and has personally improved my endurance and cardio.
Fantastic gym with great training. I trained there 8 years ago and came back after all that time and the quality was just as I remember.
Was visiting from Dallas for a few days and everyone was very welcoming. Great staff, awesome training, and a positive atmosphere. I’ll be back!
As a total beginner- feel right at home! Great atmosphere and would recommend to anyone !
The wide selection of available classes. Gi usage included.Supportive instructors. Helpful students who are patient with me.
I was only able to come to this gym for about a month before I got a new job and had to move but would highly recommend this location if you are in the area. Very friendly and welcoming staff and the ability to take an array if classes if you want. The coaches and their assistants were always willing to help and give their tips on how to improve.
I had the pleasure of dropping by when I was traveling in the area. Such a great place! The gym is top-notch and everyone from the admin team to the black belts and all the rest of the training partners were awesome. A great mixture of levels, ages and everyone had a great attitude for training.
Truly a place of higher learning. If you really want to challenge yourself, you can.
My kids are so happy at Easton, everyone is so friendly, and the staff seem to make a conscious effort to connect with all members, I have never felt so comfortable in a gym before.
I couldn't be more stoked with my experience thus far at Easton. The coaches and people are incredible (kind, understanding, etc.), they have a remarkably easy to follow fundamentals curriculum, and there are lots of opportunities to learn and grow as both a Jiu Jitsu practitioner and a human person!
Coaches were phenomenal, atmosphere was really inviting, and after 90 min in a foundations class, I felt like I had a solid cache of skills. Made me want to come back ASAP!
I've been to Easton for over a month now and it's such a great gym. I've specifically doing the Muay Thai program and it's so much fun. The instructors are very knowledgeable and fun to work with. The community is the best part as everyone is so friendly to each other. It's always a blast to come in after work and train. I really wish that I was in Colorado longer than just the summer, but if I get a full time return offer from my internship then I'll definitely make sure to come back!
My wife trained for two int/adv no gi sessions under the instruction of Professor Easton. These classes were some of the best instructions we have ever received. All of the training partners and others throughout the gym were extremely friendly and helpful. We would recommend Easton Training Center-Boulder to anyone looking to train BJJ.
I highly recommend this place for anyone interested in learning Muay Thai or having an intense workout. Classes are easily available several times a day. Instructors are upbeat and patient. I wouldn’t have known how much I enjoy this if it wasn’t for these talented coaches.
Very chill about the free days to try out their programs. I wasn't sure, so they offered a second and then I decided to join. It's an appreciated gesture when someone is thinking about getting into such a big time commitment. Coaches are personable, structure is clear, and it feels like a community. It can be intimidating for someone with social anxiety to start out here, but everyone is accepting and just happy to be amidst people with similar interests. I'm working on planting my roots here and becoming even more a part of the family feel of the place. Looking forward to getting my yellow shirt!
Outstanding! Everyone there is SO nice and friendly - the staff and the patrons. There's no "too cool for you" vibe or big egos even though the level of accomplishment there is very very high - it feels extremely welcoming, positive, and supportive of me being there (no matter what level). This is what is so amazing and beautiful to me about Easton. I like how there is a "theme" that is the focus for the week in kickboxing. And that there is an emphasis on practical technique from an instructor who not only has the credibility of obvious proficiency, but also the teaching skills to be encouraging and also help you improve. Also, the convenience of being able to show up to classes when you please is great! The facility is compact but complete and tidy. There's room for an amazing number of people in there to do their things. So grateful!
Great facilities and really helpful instructors for a brand new fighter!
I have been going to Easton for a little over a month and it is amazing. All the instructors are super nice and encouraging. They all are all very knowledgeable as well and will pay close attention to you to make sure you are learning while also getting a great workout. It is a fantastic community of people that I would recommend to anyone.
It's been amazing and addicting to get involved at Easton. I've progressed in my ability as a fighter more than I ever thought I would, and yet it is incredibly humbling and exciting to have SO much to learn. I'm surrounded by men and women who are animals on the mat and are excellent at their craft, but all of them have the humility to teach and train with the newbies (such as myself) and make us better. It's been a great experience training with the people at Easton and I'm stoked to keep rolling and progressing.
I love this gym. I've been on/off going here since 2016. The coaches are very helpful and informative. The front desk staff are friendly and learned my name within a week. I feel all around welcomed every time I come in. No matter what your skill level is, everyone is appreciated and welcomed. I highly recommend the kickboxing classes. It's a great cardio work out along with learning boxing fundamentals.
I've been trading at Easton BJJ for more than 10 years and the one true constant is the place continues to improve. The amount and variety of classes offered throughout the day and during the week makes training Very accessible. The friendly atmosphere provides for a safe and enriching experience no matter what you're training, be it Jiu Jitsu or Thai Boxing.
Easton has been part of my family for 8 years now. I have not only grown in Muay Thai and jiu jitsu but as a person as well. I’m so grateful to the coaches and students who support each other, on and off the mats.
Easton is simply the best. I've trained both jiujitsu and kickboxing and every coach or professor has been fantastic. The atmosphere is always super welcoming.
I live and train in Naples, FL. From time-to-time I visit Boulder and love training at Easton. It's my home away from home. What I like most about it is the welcoming atmosphere and the friendly training partners. I compete at Masters 6 in the IBJJF. At my age I want to train at an Academy where you know you can be challenged and not roughed up.
To be honest, becoming a member at Easton has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I was baffled when I saw how the community embraced new members. I've never felt more accepted in a new environment in my entire life. Words can't describe the kindness and respect that everyone has for each other here. Come check it out if you have ever wanted to learn a martial art or just want a new form of exercise. You're doing yourself a disservice by not coming to a FREE class. I promise that you will not be disappointed. The price for a monthly membership might seem expensive, but as a broke college student I can confidently say that it is well worth the cost. The discipline, friendships, technical skills, and overall fitness that you develop here will outweigh ANY amount of money that you spend.
My best friend and I wanted to join a kickboxing class and being dedicated yogis we wanted to have a very authentic experience so we signed up at Easton a few weeks ago and are loving it!!! I love how welcoming and kind all the students and coaches are. Everyone is super dedicated and the gym is clean! I can tell there is a general form to the kickboxing classes but all of the coaches have their own unique styles which keeps it interesting! John Ianni, he teaches the Friday 12pm kickboxing class, is by far my absolute favorite coach! He is passionate about what he teaches, gives clear direction in every class and spends time with each student to ensure we all understand what’s happening. He simplifies complicated combinations which I can appreciate being completely new to this sport! He’s uplifting and positive while also pushing us to go beyond the limitations of our mind! He makes me feel especially empowered to be a woman in class and I can’t sing his praises enough! Not to mention he’s got the best music playlists which helps me stay motivated until the very end!😝 I highly recommend taking classes here if you’re looking for an authentic experience in mixed martial arts with dedicated coaches and students!
Classmates and staff at Easton Boulder are friendly and welcoming. Email questions are answered promptly. Waiving mat fees for visitors is very generous. Classes are well organized with instruction I can remember for months. I appreciate the "folding" of class rank lines (seniors with juniors), so that we don't need to worry about finding a partner. The detail that felt most welcoming probably seems very small, but displaying extra supplies in the women's changing room makes it clear that women are invited and encouraged to practice *every* week.
Like a well oiled machine. Full of people, students, front desk staff and instructors who all make it all work. The ability to rent makes it an even better experience when you’re just trying your free trial class. Also, the atmosphere in the kickboxing class has been open for me as a newbie, I am grateful. Nice peers and patient instructors!
Loved my time at Easton. Great professors and coaches. I came in as an out of town visitor and the people at Easton welcomed me with open arms. Atmosphere was great. Good pace to learn while also getting a good workout.
This facility is fresh, hard working, and gentle for starters. Ive had about 3 months off the mat., and stepping right into BJJ class felt like i never left. I look forward to spending a lot more time at Easton Boulder and upping my MT game.
I had the opportunity to drop into Easton Boulder and train three days while on a trip through Colorado. The facilities were super nice, lockers, shower, very clean mats and a good setup to keep the funk down. I attended a fundamentals class for beginners even though I've been training almost a decade and found it to be really well done and helpful. I also attended an Open Mat and accidentally part of instructor training which I think is really unusual. Most schools don't bother with instructor training and just kind of leave it up to the individuals based on their experience and knowledge but without a ton of guidance. Both professor Alex Huddleston and professor Amal Easton we're very welcoming and enthusiastic. Overall the culture and vibe seem to be really welcoming and focused on very technical jiu jitsu. Great place to drop in and I'm sure an awesome place to make your home gym if you're living in Boulder.
I love Easton. I had been out for a while after a car accident and neck injury and am so happy to have just started back. I've missed it so much. I love that Easton Academy is a world class gym with great instructors providing challenging, high level curriculum while fostering a friendly, supportive community. I love how we have a common goal to help everyone get better. We push one another to our limits, while still allowing others to feel successful in order to encourage growth and confidence. I feel very at home when I'm at Easton. I have just been back for two classes since resuming my training and both times saw people who were genuinely excited to see me and have me back. Easton is very much a family. In my nonprofit work, I train people in de-escalation and nonviolent direct action and I recommend Easton all the time. People often find themselves in challenging, emotionally charged and potentially dangerous situations and are concerned about self defense. I encourage everyone to learn either Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai or both and tell them that Easton is not only the best school in Colorado, but one of the best in the world. I share with them that they will feel fit, strong and confident in their ability to protect themselves. People will feel their presence and the energy they project in escalated situations and that alone will most often be enough to prevent things from devolving into a violent conflict. I know many people who have at least given it a try, but now that I've returned, look forward to being an even better ambassador for Easton and continuing to bring people in and help them along their journey. Right now, I am just taking kickboxing for a month to get back into shape, but my goal is to next month resume Muay Thai and advance to my next rank of Blue Shirt. I also plan to finally begin cross training in Jiu Jitsu as well, train hard and eventually compete. Ultimately, I would love to reach a point where I am able to become an instructor for Easton and also launch a program to train and support people with whom I currently work in marginalized or at risk communities. I feel like Easton is the perfect place for me to reach my potential and realize all of these goals.
This has been an amazing place for my son. He is 16 almost 17 and the experience he is gaining working with the adults is invaluable. The Professors take time to help him as he is a child but push him like the adults. The trainer's and staff are so great there aren't enough superlatives for everyone there. We are blessed to be part of the Easton family.
This is one of the most, if not the most, legit gyms you can go to. There are various professional fighters that come here to train and your average parents or college students who want to get fit while learning martial arts. This speaks volumes to the quality of instruction and to the community here at Easton-Boulder. On top of all that, the free class trial, the $99 trial month, and the reasonable price for Muay Thai classes and BJJ classes is amazing. You are getting world-class instruction for less than $200 for either martial art. If you are hesitating coming in, take a leap of faith and sign up for a free class, you won't regret it.
I've been taking the kickboxing classes that feed into Muay Thai since December. It is a great workout, cardio, strength (quite challenging calisthenics built in), lots of basic drills on boxing and kicks. I have been working out 4-7 hours a week before, with personal trainers, and in the gym by myself following a plan. I still notice more upper body, core, leg strength and isometric endurance now, and occasionally just going for a run is easy. I like the challenge of coordination and learning new movements, and the coaches at Easton are very helpful. Ryan, Devin, and Morgan are my favorites, but everybody has been very encouraging. The training follows a clear plan with variations from session to session and weekly themes (one week boxing, one week low kicks etc). Vi, one of the managers, has sold me on the membership by being friendly, caring, informative and not using any pressure sales techniques. All front desk staff has been remarkably friendly, even when it's very busy and they must have a lot of extra work with Covid precautions. The online scheduling system is easy to use. Other members are nice, but not overly chatty. There is no feeling of cliques and newbies are welcome.
I've been drawn to martial arts ever since I was a little boy, so kickboxing at Easton Training Center has been incredibly fun! Every class is a challenge; there's tons of running, lots of burpees, stretching, and shadow boxing before the training even begins! The hands-on training from the amazing staff of coaches showed me that they care about my training and want to see me improve just as much as I do. They are professional, patient, and accommodating to everyone who steps into the gym. Don't think you have to be a fighter to enjoy class either! People from all walks of life come to this place, ranging from students to mothers, and even other disabled veterans like myself! Since beginning my training, my physical health have greatly improved. I noticed my muscles are more toned, my stamina during vigorous activities is WAY up, and, for the first time in my life (near the age of 30) I have ABS! What's been more beneficial is the effect it has had on my mental health. I used to be more fearful and anxious, but the training has helped me overcome a lot of fear and given me a sense of control back in my life. If you are consistent, you will see your skill in kickboxing (or BJJ or Muai Thai) improve, showing you that something you are doing WORKS. If you do read this and decide you want to give it a try, here are two tips I consider to be golden for this class: If you are a beginner, and even if you've been training for a while, be sure to TAKE IT SLOW. It's tempting to put a lot of power into punches and kicks right away, but good form trumps power. I hurt my shoulder throwing a bad hook because I was throwing too hard without proper form. Trust me; it'll save you a lot of recovery time if you just focus on form. Also, there's not always a lot of time at the end of class to fully cool down and stretch, but you should always take some time to stretch afterwards. You can stretch on the mats if there is no class coming in, but you can stretch anywhere in the building and no one would care. Stretch! Overall, I really love Easton Training Center and plan to keep going. It's a lot of fun, the training is effective for all learner levels, the exercise is AWESOME and it's a community of people who just love martial arts and building each other up! Five stars are well deserved!
I came in to Easton my second day in Colorado and have been going at least twice a day since then. They hooked me in and now I’m not sure I could leave even if I wanted to. Not only are Muay Thai/Jiu-Jitsu fun, character building, and a great way to stay in shape, the coaches and staff are the best! These are people who genuinely care about the craft and want to see you improve both as a martial artist, and a person, every time you come into the gym. Wether you just want to break a sweat before work, or be a professional fighter, Easton’s the place to be:)
I recommend Easton Training Center to everyone! High level instructors, great with children, friendly staff, and great facilities. We came for the children’s BJJ classes and found it to be outstanding, well rounded, very educational!!!
I recommend your gym to everyone! I’ve been training here off and on for years and had nothing but excellent experiences. High level instructors, friendly staff, and great facilities. I recently got my wife to sign up. She just took her first BJJ class today and loved it!! 👍
Easton is a very welcoming place to train. No matter the rank you are treated as equal. It is a place to help build each other's skill sets and confidence in those skills. Everyone is welcoming of all skill levels and no one is ever put down or made to feel less than others. This is a tightly knit group of people that are always willing to help. This type of feel in the gym makes it easy to walk in without feelings of intimidation or self-consciousness, which to me is very important.
I have to be honest. I'm a 53 year old man who found BJJ through watching MMA fights. I watched a fight last year and they mentioned the fighter (name escapes me) was trained at the Easton center run by Amal Easton. I Googled it, found the one in Boulder, and decided to give it a try. It took me some time to muster up the fortitude to walk into the place. Honestly, my impression was that they'd see this middle-aged man walking in and not give me the time of day. After all, isn't Jiu Jitsu a young man's sport? Still, I submitted an only request for an intro class as immediately got a reply. The date and time was set. I could not have been more wrong. The front desk folks, old enough to be my kids, were extremely friendly and accommodating. The coach assigned to the intro glass was patient and explained things well. Though we were using grappling dummies, I left there hooked on learning the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Since then I have to say the community of Easton is one of the best I've experienced. Everyone is helpful, patient, and the instructors are top notch. The entire Easton community, from the top on down, cares about your safety, your journey, and your health. I've never seen anything quite like it (and I've boxed, played multiple sports, and kept active most of my life. It's truly an amazing thing they have going on there. Even through COVID, their attention to detail and concern for the safety of their community is beyond any expectations. I highly recommend Easton for any age level and for any of the programs they offer. You may find out BJJ, or Muay Thai, or kickboxing are not for you, but I can honestly say that your journey in those areas will not end because of Easton. If you love the sport, you will find a home here, and learn more about yourself than you ever thought possible.
Highly skilled instructors and professors that teach both bjj and Muay Thai. Easton has always been a place my husband and I always feel welcomed back to. Extremely friendly and organized, Easton goes above and beyond to make your experience everyday feel special.
If I could give infinity stars, I would. The people at Easton are all amazing, all the time. Becoming a member at Easton is like acquiring a new family. The training is also great and the facility is great. Easton really is a cut above, in essentially every way.
The coaches were nice and students were nice, but I could see favoritism in there and the coaches took more time on those students they favored and put them into their inner circle while the other students didn’t receive that kind of treatment and had to get privates. The Muay Thai program is good but there’s a clear hierarchy which made the environment there intimidating rather than welcoming. The head coach for Muay Thai is quite hard to read and but I can see he has his favorites and some of the other students are just not of too much importance to him. Muay Thai shouldn’t have rank, traditionally there aren’t ranks so to add that in adds another layer of complexity to the mix. I’ve come back to Easton on and off hoping for it to change but Easton is a clique environment and there’s a lot of ego. I think their programs are decent and I can see how it’s helped folks, but for me personally I just felt like I didn’t belong there.
Management has gone down hill. They are nice until they are not nice. If you don’t buy into their clan they will hate you for life and you will be banned for life. Not a very good family environment. Also their summer camps are over capacity and understaffed. Easton has lost its taste and just wants your money. Good luck being fooled by their manipulation tactics.
Instructor was insecure and unable to take criticism. You will be kicked out if the instructor sees you as competition. Terrible people, awful leadership.
