Hi my name is Michael Carpenter, an ex mma fighter out of des moines iowa 2002-2013 at the gyms I've trained at they've had a bunch of ufc fighters like jermey "Lil heathen" stephens, joe "the hammer" brammer and Josh "the dentist" neer and dozens more come out of. These gyms you are also able to train with these guys in class, great experience and huge level advantage over the guys I was fighting at that time. I am 39 now and my time in mma came to an end in 2013. My question is, do you have high level fighters that a non experienced guy could roll with in open roll and could show him a few good basics? I'm asking for a friend of mine that wants to try out bjj, so I'm looking for a good gym for him. I will also be attending to help pass my knowledge on to him and work with him as well. I am not looking to feed him to the wolves but to get him connected to have fun with the sport and grow into what he would like to achieve. Thank you Mike Carpenter.

Preston is a great instructor and this school is a must! This is great for mental health, physical exercise, and overall confidence. This class instills a discipline and a skill for life if you stick with it. He is very knowledgeable and his staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend this to anyone looking to get a martial arts experience or their children into a discipline.

We absolutely love Great Falls Brazilian Jujitsu! Preston is amazing with the kids! He makes it fun and relaxing but also teaches them amazing skills. My children are thriving there with him and loving every minute of it! They also throw amazing birthday parties that are a blast! If you haven’t checked it out then you are seriously missing out!

Preston is an incredible instructor. He’s extremely knowledgeable and precise. He and John are able to break the moves down so well and take the time to make sure the students not only understand but practice safely and accurately. It’s a stress relieving, confidence boosting, adrenaline rush that anyone, regardless of age or athletic ability can do. He’s also amazing with kids! We’re lucky to have this gem of a school in Great Falls.

Our whole family of 6 has been training together for over a year at GFBJJ and I can honestly say we love it more every week. Coach Preston is consistently encouraging us to incorporate the Jiu Jitsu mindset along with the physical practice, and as mid-thirty something parents, we have noted huge leaps in our own, and our children’s confidence and ability. Coach John is very conscientious about making sure we get what we need on the administrative and communication side, and they make a great team. We drive 40 miles each way to get there, and when we first started I (the mom) struggled sometimes with the amount of time and energy that went into the effort. But before long, once I started to learn more, Jiu Jitsu day has become my favorite of the week. When we are having a rough emotional day, an hour of learning and grappling busts those blues like nothing else!! As a Mom, I love feeling and really being empowered by the knowledge and confidence we’re building in our bodies, and watching my kids learn how to be assertive and gentle all at once. Could not recommend this school highly enough ❤️

Our grandson loves it. The coach and assistants are very good with children and watching the teens and adults learn is awesome. Coach preston helped train our middle son who is now pro MMA. Much respect for his training.
