Darcio Lira Jiu Jitsu is located inside Mind Your Body Oasis, which is at the landing in the underground Crystal City Shops next to Subway. Once you enter, remove your shoes and walk down the hallway to the mat room on your right. Monday is No Gi and Wednesday/Thursday is Gi. Great instruction and atmosphere!
Welcoming club with quality instruction and good people. Probably not the place you want to go if you are training for the mundials, but if you are looking to get a good workout while honing your technique--this place fits the bill. The style is a little more traditional than some gyms yet at the same time the group is super open and accommodating towards drop in students. I had the opportunity to train with both "J" and Joe. Both offered friendly clear direction and were a pleasure to work with. I will definitely be going back next time I am in DC.
