Dandelion BJJ is the best possible learning environment for both beginners and advanced practitioners of Brazilian jiujitsu. Instructors are kind, intelligent and make you feel immediately comfortable. This is a no ego gym, where everyone takes care of each other and teaches at a rate where newcomers feel included and welcomed. 10/10 experience, and not only do I learn new skills, and get great exercise, this place brings out the best of me where my mental health is concerned. I encourage everyone who’s thinking of joining a jiujitsu gym to give Dandelion BJJ a try. You will feel immediately welcome and excited for the next session. I love this place and it’s already becoming a second home.

This gym is amazing! From the atmosphere to the coaches, this place truly is great. Everyone who shows up to classes are great partners to roll with who will push you to be better and really help you practice what you’re learning. The coaches, Gabe and James, are great people too! They’re able to breakdown everything they’re teaching into easy concepts for any and all levels to understand and you can tell that they actually care about their students. Overall a great place for anyone to learn of anyone to come and learn so I highly recommend you try this school!

By far the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym in CT. Whether you are a hobbyist or someone who wants to compete regularly, Dandelion is the place to be. My jiu-jitsu has gotten exponentially better since training with James and Gabe, which is a testament to their years of experience and world-class instruction. Dandelion is a people-first gym, fostering a community environment dedicated to getting the most out of its members. Grateful to be part of such a great place. I highly recommend Dandelion to anyone looking to challenge themselves both mentally and physically.

Top Tier Training. It can be really hard to find a gym that clicks but i promise, you will not find a better place to expand your skill set. in-depth and practical jiu jitsu taught by actual teachers, the coaches all work in education and understand perfectly what it takes to help you grow no matter your skill level. a great morning or evening schedule is offered and the group of folks training here are second to none. you won’t be disappointed.

Starting BJJ and nearing 40 could be pretty intimidating, but the coaches (as well as my training partners) at Dandelion are not only patient with us newer people, but are truly invested in our growth. Everything we learn is taught in methodical steps and continuously drilled over the month in a way that makes them not only easy to remember, but also easy to apply during active rolling. Over the past few months I have seen an increase in my strength, my stamina and more importantly, my overall mental health has certainly improved. I’m very grateful for my experience so far at Dandelion - It’s definitely what I needed during one of the most demanding times in my life.

The only place I’ll go to train! You can’t find any where like it in the area. Whether you’re looking to just get into jiu jitsu or get back on the mats with prior experience, I highly recommend dandelion jiu jitsu.
