As someone who’s fought around the world, there is something that stands out here. You only walk in once as a stranger! What a fantastic community. This is what martial arts should be: Incredible first class training and 100% community! If you’re looking, stop, you’ve found where you need to go!!

I took a while to pluck up the courage to start training martial arts, but I am so glad I took that step, and into the CFA class I did. Warm welcome, friendly inclusive atmosphere. Good communication, decent facilities. Mark is a highly knowledgeable, traveled and experienced instructor- and brings his experience of real life situations to the techniques being taught, which is invaluable. All abilities catered for, and great instruction, no ego, attitude or arrogance. Just a warm friendly environment for learning a broad range of useful, practical techniques, that although early days, have improved my physical health and self confidence, thanks Mark/CFA! 😃👊

I've been here since it started in Lincoln. I planned to do BJJ, but at my age I'm unable to cope with the groundwork; but then the same club also do CFA. I was impressed. It adapts to the student, rather than expecting the student to do things their way, so my limitations were less impeding. It's friendly there and lacks undue formality, but promotes self-discipline. It's fun, keeps you fit and tunes your senses. It has striking, grapples, with Kali thrown in. It's total fun, and teaches you what is useful. The instructor is approachable and pays attention to you. It's a club for anyone, including anyone who is not as mobile as they once were.
