Fantastic owner/head coach and staff. Ryan is very knowledgeable and attentive to each individual's specific needs and will help you improve in any way he can. The facility is very clean and has A/C, large mats, heavy bags, a gym, classrooms, lounge, pro shop, and more coming soon. There is something for everyone here from young to old, new to veteran. The cost for the value is very reasonable.
I've been training in the Bang Muay Thai class for about a month now, and it's everything I hoped it would be. Ryan is a great coach and it's very obvious that it's his passion. I always leave class feeling more than satisfied. My only regret is not joining sooner. 10/10 recommend this class.
I've been training at Claymore for just over two years now. I came in on a whim to try a free class and never left! The staff and coaches are incredibly skilled and extremely supportive. They foster a very friendly and collaborative environment -- I've learned life saving skills and made some of the best friends while doing it! Additionally, Claymore periodically hosts seminars that offer the opportunity to train with legendary martial artists and experts (most recently Bas Rutten and Duane Ludwig!!) I can't say enough good things -- if you are on the fence, just do it!
The best training gym I’ve ever been too. As well as an amazing community of martial artists. I’ve never felt unwelcome! Highly recommend for anyone wishing to check them out and take classes
This place is fantastic. As someone who had a mild interest in the MMA world, it was great to find a gym that has a coach that is extremely knowledgeable and outgoing, and even better to be in a welcoming and hardworking group of people. Claymore has made MMA a big hobby of mine.

Been training Bang Muay Thai here with a first class coach and owner, Ryan Rushton for a few years now but this past weekend was an especially awesome experience. BMT founders Duane Ludwig and Bas Rutten as well as the Queen of BMT came out and put on a fantastic fun-filled seminar. For some of the best coaching and great training partners that make it feel like family, this is the place to be. OSU!

I've been sending my kids to Claymore for the last year and couldn't be happier with the results. Ryan is an excellent instructor who makes a positive connection with each and every student. He is great at encouraging and developing each and every child while promoting a respectful and safe learning environment. The classes are great for coordination, physical fitness, confidence, and situational awareness. We have also had the opportunity to attend and a CCHDF Introduction to Handgun Course which Ryan instructed. This was a great course for those who are new to firearms and it was also a good refresher for those who have been around firearms their whole lives as self defense courses often evolve and improve over time. There are numerous other opportunities to engage in at Claymore, the environment is accepting, encouraging, excellently instructed, and all-around first class.
This is the place to go to if you want to learn self defense, get better at competition fighting, or just get in better shape. The coaches are very knowledgeable and will help you out no matter your background and interests.

I've been training at Claymore for almost 3 months now and I cannot say enough great things about this gym! The staff/instructors are amazing, knowledgeable and professional at all times. Every class is something new and the training is intense and rewarding. I've been interested in martial arts my entire life, but never found a style or gym that stuck with me. Krav Maga is it for me and so is Claymore! I've made friends while learning self-defense and getting in shape. I highly recommend!
Claymore Fighting and Fitness is the premier Krav Maga and Bang Muay Thai gym of the Mid-South. I attended a carjacking self defense seminar this weekend that was expertly taught and instilled confidence to all of the attendee's by the end of the day. The instructor's presented the material and drills by using realistic real world scenarios. They were able to achieve the seminars objectives to an audience that ranged from the beginner to very experienced Krav Maga practitioners. I can't say enough about the Gym, the atmosphere and especially all of the instructors. I absolutely enjoy being a part of this gym family.

I have been training at Claymore a little over five years, and to be honest, it never gets old. There is always something new to learn and to improve on. The atmosphere is very friendly and no individual would ever have to worry about being judged. If you are looking improve your self defense skills, martial art skills, or just want a place to go get a workout in, Claymore Krav Maga is the place to be at because there is no other place like it in Huntsville!
I have been part of the Claymore family for 1-1/2 years and highly recommend them because I feel that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the superior level of instruction that they offer. I was a bit intimidated before joining my first Krav class, however that quickly disappeared due to the welcoming and encouraging environment provided by both the instructors and members. This has allowed me to accomplish physical milestones that I did not think were possible. The instructors go the extra mile by not only teaching and demonstrating the Krav Maga techniques, but also ensuring that members are performing the techniques correctly to increase effectiveness and power, and by including ‘stress-drills’ that allow you to apply what you have learned in realistic scenarios. Krav classes, Fighting Fit, and Fight Camp have allowed me to be more fit, strong, healthier, aware, and confident than I have ever been before!

I love this gym. I searched for over a year to find a place where I actually wanted to attend class, and Claymore fit the bill. The instructors are amazing. You have great training with real world applications. I have made great friends there and am in the best shape I have ever been in. Cannot recommend it enough!
A great experience all around. You get a heart pounding cardio workout combined with top notch striking techniques. Whether you're new to martial arts or a veteran, this is what you've been looking for.
The instructors here are knowledgeable and passionate. The owner has first hand experience with how these techniques work, and uses the same workouts we do in the fighting fit classes to keep in shape. The building is always clean, and all of the regulars make it a warm welcome as a newcomer. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Claymore has outstanding instructors and the training partners become like family. This is incredibly effective self defense and it's easy to learn. There's no drama, no BS and no egos that you'll find in other places. At Claymore you'll get fit and learn how to defend yourself.
