My son has been a student with Master Dobie for over a year now. We were hesitant to start as a beginner at 12 years old, but Master Dobie has supported him and helped him to learn so much, not only just skills of Taekwondo, but respect, responsibility and generosity. Master Dobie is in constant communication regarding students progress and opportunities the dojo offers. We LOVE being a part of Champion and recommend it to everyone!

The class schedule is very accommodating to working families and class prices are very affordable compared to the neighborhood competition. Master Dobie is a class act who truly cares for every individual student and does a great job of emphasizing respect in a fun and welcoming environment. My little boy started taekwondo with Master Dobie in November, it's been just over a month since he's been at Champions Studio and I am so impressed with his progress, all thanks to Master Dobie. Last week my little guy turned 4 and this week he got his first white belt, it was not a present, he earned it thanks to Master Dobie. I wasn't sure my son would like martial arts and Master Dobie offered a shorter program (7 months) that would allow me to gauge my son's interest, unsurprisingly he really likes it and I love seeing his concentration in class. Most of my son's classmates take taekwondo w/ Maste Dobie and I had heard many things about him that were proven true, he is patient, discipline and respectful, he commands the same from his students. For little boys it's important for them to acquire these traits early on. For as long and we continue living in Long Island Cit we'll continue martial arts with Master Dobie.
Master Dobie is without exaggeration the teacher from the god. Kids love him and listen to him and always want to go back to class! My daughter is only 4 years old and who knew she would be so into martial arts but here we are and I cannot be more happy!
Incredible school for young children! I started my daughter when she was 3. She's developed coordination, patience, and self control. Master Dobie is a black belt who is also great with children. He has so much patience and kindness for them. Great communication from the school. Class sizes are small for individual attention.
My son started in the Little Tigers class when he turned 3. Master Dobie is wonderful with kids this age. He pushes them to practice focus and discipline yet also is able to make light of the hilarious nature of 3 year olds. As a parent it is entertaining to observe the classes. I would recommend Champions to everyone!

Champions Martial Arts in LIC is by far a place everyone looking to build their child’s confidence as well as respect should come. My son was so shy and closed off and Master Doubi no matter how much of a struggle it was worked with him. Im so grateful for his guidance and nurturing personality. I joined Champions LIC back in June and love it. The adult classes are a lot of fun and challenging in the best ways. Everyone is very welcoming & Master Dobie is a great instructor.

Our daughter started Champions Martial Arts with Master Dobi five years ago when she was 4 years old. She earned her black belt recently and is part of the Leadership program now helping younger students learn Taekwondo. Master Dobi has been a fundamental reason for her development and continued growth with Taekwondo. He’s a fantastic instructor that works well with children and teaches good values and discipline in addition to Taekwondo skills. Master Dobie and his Champions location is Top Notch. My daughter Arianna, recently earned her Purple Belt n couldn't be happier there. Master Dobie runs things very professionally, but keeps a level of fun to things as well. I highly reccomend his Dojang to anybody interested in Taekwondo, adults, as well as children of all ages.

Master Dobie is absolutely phenomenal with the kids. He pushes them forward in their TKD and life skills in a delightful way, considering each kid individually. He also somehow always remembers EVERY kid's name even though there are hundreds of them!
