We love this place! All the masters are great with kids. Great place to learn respect, discipline, gain confidence while learning taekwondo and having fun doing it!

Great classes and wonderful teachers! We have been coming for over 6 months and Master Yoo and Master Meng are amazing with these kids.
My 6 year old son and myself both signed up for Taekwondo at Champion MA Bay Ridge. We have had such a great experience learning from Master Yoo and Master Sin. They make the classes for both kids and adults fun by changing up the routine and a good work out! The class sizes are also very reasonable and allows for individual and focus time with the Masters to best meet you at your skill level. The class schedule is also really great as it allows for flexibility in our own schedule to attend the classes each week. Also, fast and clear communication always from Master Yoo on all events, belt test schedules and individual needs! The best thing is my son has found something that he really enjoys and is always super excited to go to his TKD classes! It’s taught him discipline, respect and confidence!! 👍👍👍 Wonderful Masters, Flexible Schedules, Good class sizes, Safe and clean environment and FUN! I would highly recommend Champion to others interested! 🥋🥋🥋
I've been taking adult classes there for close to a year now and really love my experiences at this location. The Masters are excellent teachers who will work with you on what you're comfortable with as well as push you to try new moves. Every time I go to class I feel energized and excited, ready to learn something new. Also I can break boards now.

It is a great martial arts school for both kids and adults. The Taekwondo do masters are very patient and experienced. They can customize the training techniques according to each individual’s unique physical status and always encourage students to try their best and never give up. Kids can learn a lot more than the martial arts, and the adults can enjoy the class in a very friendly and interactive group. I personally feel it is a great idea to practice some martial arts, just for self-defense purposes, especially during this disturbing period of time. So far our family has been in the school for 4 years and all of us are very happy, strong and healthy. I highly recommend this Champions Martial Arts Bay Ridge 1 to everyone!
They moved to a new and bigger space. They also doing both remote and in-person sessions. It is clean and safe environment for my kids to go weekly.
My daughter is 5 years old and absolutely loves her class with Master Jeong! His energy and patience with the kids is remarkable. We love Champions!

My daughter absolutely loves this place . Have been coming here for 2 years. Teachers are very engaged, and passionate about the lessons . In addition they teach Korean and also important values such as respect to family , sibling and friends !!!
My son loves it here! The Masters and instructors are wonderful and patient. They work with each child based on their needs to boost their confidence. Master Maeng is very prompt, responsive and helpful in answering any questions or concerns via text. My son has been working with Master Yu and loved her personality and humor. My son loves the variety in the classes and enjoys the obstacle courses etc. Love that they always switch it up so the children stay engaged and interested at a young age. It's amazing to see how my son's confidence has grown in the class and he looks forward to it. He loves telling everyone about his taekwon do class and watching videos of what he does during the class! We had to take a break from classes last year but he asked to come back this year and is more confident and Master Maeng and the other Masters welcomed us back with the feeling as if we had never taken a break.
Can’t say enough good things about this school, clean environment, loving teachers and safety for my kids is just the start. My boys love Master Meang and look forward to every class. Confidence, focus and respect is being embedded in children by these highly qualified masters.

Master Maeng is the best. We have had our daughter here for a few years, and now she is in the black belt program. Our 5 year old son just joined as well. His staff is excellent.
Master Maeng runs an amazing school. He is an extraordinary teacher with both children and adults. He can meet the needs of all different kinds of students. My two children and I have been practicing TKD here for two years now and absolutely LOVE it here!!

I found this center on google one day and decided to check it out with my fiancé, and let me tell you, we liked many things about this center. For starters the instructors master Maeng, Kim and Yu, are patient with beginner adults like me and little kids. As a beginner all Instructors make sure you know all the principles of Taekwondo, it can be challenging but they’re motive is for us to get better and over come our weaknesses. All three masters are fabulous role models. We definitely recommend this center.

Master Jeong is wonderful. At first my son my was nervous and disinterested but Master J is so great that my son loves to come to TKD. Highly recommend! Give it at least 6 visits before making a decision.
Instructors are amazing with not only my child but all the other children. Its great to see patience when teaching something new especially to a small children.
The place is awesome. They have little tiger program for age 3-5 and other Ages too. Each class is 30 min. The person in charge Master Maeng is very nice & responsible, they keep each class entertaining, kids are very engaged in the activities. Other instructors are also very involved and hard working. My kids loves this place. They want to come everyday.
I have two kids who take classes here and they love it. They had tried a different place but dropped out after a couple of months.. here they go happily. Master Maeng and his crew are extremely patient and nurturing. Highly recommended.
Champions TaeKwonDo in Bay Ridge is great! Master Maeng clearly enjoys working with the kids and they have such a good time! My son loves running and learning how to break boards! Classes are short and there’s always enough instructors to help out!
My son Daniel is Five years old and just started a few months ago and is loving it. They really do a great job with the little ones and you can see them becoming more comfortable in their own little bodies and their self confidence grow. Master Maeng and his assistants work very well with the children and make it fun for them, and the belt progressions and stickers/stars work very well in giving them a sense of accomplishment. Highly recommended!
Our 5 year old has been attending classes here for a month. Master Maeng and his instuctors are so good with these kids and you can tell they really enjoy working with them. Super wholesome, lots of high fives and salutes to parents and the flag. Always full of praise and positivity, they really 'sell' the kids on thier progress and my kid is always smiling and improving. The absolute best part of my week is watching my kid in his Taekwondo class. Huge grin every time.
Their patience with the little tiggers is fenonemal. We have two toddlers who have been learning to focus,to follow instructions and to respect their peers.
This is a great school. Master Maeng is a great teacher as are the other instructors including Derek. My son's confidence and discipline level is up there. He's learned to listen and follow instructions. He actually looks forward to coming here every week and putting forth his best effort. Also Master Maeng is very good with kids... He's very patient with kids of all skill level.
Master Maeng is terrific with all kinds of kids! His enthusiasm even gets the less naturally athletic kids interested. Highly recommend.

My kids love Master Maeng's taekwondo school on Bayridge very much! Teachers are great ,they support my kids in everything they do!! Taekwondo has taught them how to respect others, self defense, and how to stand up for themselves. I don’t think there’s any place better than this one!!
My brother and I have been taking taekendo classes at Bayridge Champions and we have great time over there. Master Maeng is very nice!

Great Taekwondo studio. Very friendly and excellent with children. Staff is always patient and keep the lessons enjoyable and engaging. My son has made great progress since the begining. We’ve been here for over a year, and are very satisfied with the results.

My two kids and I have been coming here since July. They love the class and Master Maeng! He's so patient and caring with everyone. Since they have an adult class I decided to join and I'm already an orange belt working on my green belt. This is seriously a great experience for the whole family. Soon my 2yr old will join when he turns 3.
My son loves this school, Master Maeng and staff, they all are very friendly! Master Maeng keeps all parents up to date with all important updates and information and we get text messages about all school events. Also they have a day camp when school is closed - and it's very helpful! Highly recommended!
My 3/4 year old has had a great experience here. Master Maeng is amazing with young kids, as are all the staff. They keep the kids' interest the entire class, and present just the right amount of challenge (not too easy, not too hard).

Both of my children, son age 8 and daughter age 5 goes to Champions. Master Maeng and his staff is caring, professional, and fun. He makes learning TKD so much fun with the drills and obstacle courses. Most kids classes only has 10 students with 2-3 instructors. The attention each individual students get is excellent. We love it there. My children are more disciplined and focus in their daily tasks. We hope they succeed in the neighborhood. Shhhh keep it a secret how great it is cause I absolutely love the small class and personal attention to the kids.

Great school ! My daughter loves her classes and get lots of diverse training. Master Maeng is wonderful with kids, very patient and knows how to get the best out of them. Other Instructors are great too, very dedicated , helpful and motivating.

Master Maeng is wonderful for kids, my 5 year old son started in February of 2017 and he just loves it, he looks forward to going to class every week. Master Maeng goes above and beyond at all times, he is a wonderful role model.
My son went in bouncing off walls & Master Maeng is helping him with his disciple & I can see the difference! They have a great mix of fun & work. There's a great tape &belt system to always keep the kids striving to be better. Would definitely recommend them.

For almost a year my son has been part of the program. He loves going to Taekwondo. The instructors are awesome! My son is very shy and takes time to connect with people. Since the beginning the instructors understood my son and put the extra effort to make him feel comfortable. My wife and I see the growth of confidence within our son since joining the program. I highly recommend BayRidge Martial Arts.
My daughter has been participating for a couple of months now and she is learning a lot of taekwondo moves. The instructors work with the children very well. They have the children engaged and they have a great time doing every move.

It's a great place for kids to learn about Tae kwon do . They will learn so much about Discipline,Respect,concentration . Master Maeng and Master Kim are the best teachers and kids will learn so much about them . All kids should come here . They will have fun and make friends :)

My son Lucas is on the austic spectrum. Master Maeng and Master Kim have done an amazing job bringing focus, passion and patience to my boy. He flourishes in this arena and he has gone on to make friends and increase his social skills. I highly recommend this location for any child whether they have special needs or not.
treats adults like kids & the actual kids like enlisted government military recruits. Prepare to sign your kid up for a martial art that isn't widely used on the street but is taught at this location like the art of true war. Not sure why the contract they give, doesn't just say this martial arts school is for kids only.
The worst company ever!!! First I paid online for 4 weeks of trial when I got there it turned out it will ve only 2 weeks. I wanted my money back they said they have policy of full refund if we do not like it. So we tried 2 lessons even if we had 4 that we could. My daughter refused to go after 2 lesson. She did not like yelling and teachers. When we asked for refund they said they can not give it to us. First when I called they said that we got the uniform when I said I can give it back they started saying that they did not get the money from the company because they only use somebody's name( how they accepted the student then???). Calling back and forth. Not worth it. They claim on the website full refund, no questions asked but it is not true. There are better schools in neighborhood. Watch out for that one!!!
