Best Taekwondo place ever!!!! Its so fun here!! From, Jayden
I my have boy who start his class here since last summer, My son loves to come here, instructors are very nice and passion about what they doing. Atmosphere are very good and they do have party for kids occasionally which help bond the friendship with his classmate as well.
We recently enrolled our daughter in Champions Martial Arts 86th St Tae Kwon Do program, and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience so far. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and supported by the incredible staff and instructors. The instructors and Master Nurf are truly exceptional. Their dedication to the students is evident in every class. They provide a perfect balance of discipline, encouragement, and fun, making each session something our daughter eagerly looks forward to. As beginners, we were a bit apprehensive about how our daughter would adjust, but we have already seen remarkable growth and positive changes in her. Her confidence has soared, her focus has improved, and she is developing a strong sense of discipline and respect. The structured yet nurturing environment at Champions Martial Arts 86th St has been instrumental in fostering these changes. My son has been transferred to this place since June this year and he loves it. He looks forward to every classes. Master Nurf is very patient with kids and did very good job teaching.
My son started here when he was 7. He was quiet and extremely shy. Now he is chief Staff and loves teaching all the students who attend the school. Master Nurf is an amazing teacher. I'm amazed at the energy Master Nurf displays at each and every class all day every day. He is very respectful and accommodating to the parents and joy to all our kids. Its obvious that his seniors staff members are a great representation of Master Nurf and the teachings he instills in his students. They love watching the students grow in confidence and ability to achieve their black belts. I would encourage anyone who is interested in putting their children in a school where they can learn discipline, respect, dedication, confidence and the art of defense in a true fun and family atmosphere to come see Master Nurf @ Champions 86th St. and 15th Ave!

We have been here for half of year, and decided to renew another half of year. Because that’s a nice place to get kid’s energy out. And the staffs here are very nice and patience to our kids. They got to learn how to follow the rules , how to focus and show their respects to others, of course some taekwon. My kids love it and very excited to the class every time. I definitely will recommend this place to my friends!

My son loves it here. We just restarted the classes after taking a break during COVID, but my son never forgot his Tae Kwan do class. Classes are well structured and at convenient times. They encourage discipline in kid’s personal and school life. Highly recommend it.
I am so grateful to have found this class for my grandson. It is exactly what I was looking for I had him tryout a few others and it definitely was not what I wanted for him.. I wanted him to enjoy coming to class and at same time gain confidence, respect and kindness!!! Sir has definitely helped me through some bumps in these areas with my grandson… Sir makes everything so easy and simple. I recommended others and they thank me for telling them about this Martial Arts studio… a bonus and optional are fun events that Sir plans and the kids love them!!! Great studio…truly experienced, kind patient and talented instructor Sir!!!!!

Champions Martial Arts 15th Ave is awesome! My daughter joined a yr ago and still looks forward to class every week. They teach the kids respect discipline and confidence. Instructor Nerf and Ms. Karen are both amazingly patient, caring and fun. Highly recommend for kids of all ages.
First time my kids tried tkd and they came back super excited about continuing. Sir Nurf was patient and kind with all the children. My kids really liked him. He also seem very knowledgeable. The center seems very well run. I would highly recommend this to friends and family.
Karen was a very friendly and responsive coordinator who was patient with all my questions. Instructor nurf was attentive and very good with the children. I would definitely continue with tkd at this center.

Our daughter has been attending the after-school program as well as taking taekwondo classes for the past 3 years and we have had an absolutely amazing experience so far! The staff is wonderful, especially Ms. Karen and Instructor Nurf. They are very kind, professional and always willing to help! The program teaches respect and discipline and I highly recommend them!!!
Instructor Nurf and Ms. Karen are a great combo and work hard to instill confidence in our kids. I also appreciate the way they teach children to be respectful to one another. I’ve personally learned a thing or two myself as I watched my son’s journey through their Little Tigers program. I recommend this TKD.
My daughter has learned Taekwondo here since 2017. Instructor Nurf and Karen are very good at interacting with and taking care of kids, and we as parents appreciate very much their excellent services and professionalism!

My daughter used to go there for after school program. She is now taking tae kwon do lessons only. The staff is friendly, fun, and easy to work with and takes children's health and safety seriously. They also teach children discipline and respect!

They are very friendly and professional. Instructor Nurf is very good with the kids with lots of patience and energy. The place is clean and follow safety protocols. All my three kids went and are currently enrolled with them and they are always happy.

My daughter and son love going to Instructor Nurf's classes. He is inspiring and perfectly instills discipline into all of his students without being too tough. Nurf came highly recommended for his ability to motivate students of all ages and ability and we were not disappointed. Last but not least, Ms. Karen makes the business side of things very easy with great communication. My children have grown and benefitted greatly from Nurf and Karen.

My daughter came with a friend and watched him. As she was watching she asked me if she can do it to. When I came to sign her up I saw how clean the dojo was and I saw how they follow covid guidelines. Instructor nerf is so good with the kids and my daughter looks forward to coming.

My kids started here since 2018. They love coming here. They are learning necessary strength and skills but at the same time they are learning how to respect and care for others. The place is super clean. Ms. Karen and instructor Nurf are very accommodating and caring. They make everyone who walks into the place feel like family. If you are thinking to start your kids on taekwondo this is the right place.
We cannot say enough about Instructor Nurf & Miss Karen. Instructor Nurf is very patient with the kids and the kids absolutely love him. You can tell on all the students' faces when they walk in. It's the best investment we made for our son. He enjoys every minute of it and would attend a class every single day if it were possible. Instructor Nurf makes sure he pays attention to all the children individually and pushes them according to where they are. Our son shows much more discipline after taking taekwondo for about a year and half now. He loves it so much that even though we moved, we make sure to log in and bring him in once a week. During this pandemic, they have taken every step possible to make sure all the kids could participate in the safest way possible. Miss Karen answers all questions very quickly and thoroughly. She also offers summer & holiday camps, which our son attended almost all of them last year. He had the best time. They would do regular work like handwriting practice and also do fun arts & crafts. All the parents there have gotten to know each other and really does feel like a family. We love Champions Martial Arts 15th Avenue and highly recommend for children of all ages in the area.

My teenage son has been training with Instructor Nurf for about 2 years and I couldn't be more pleased with his progress. Instructor Nurf is an excellent martial artist and teacher. He is great with the kids, both young and old. Miss Karen is also wonderful and great with the kids. The gym is very clean and everyone who enters is expected to follow protocols to keep it that way. Bottom line: friendly, fun atmosphere where kids can gain real skills.
My son Joseph has been going to Campions Martial Arts 15th Avenue for about a year and a half and he loves it!! Instructor Nurf is so great with the kids and has taught Joseph so much already. He really looks forward to classes every week and I am so glad my son is able to continue the program during this difficult time. This is a really great dojo. When we moved out of the street to another in the neighborhood, we switched our kids to the dojo closer to our house, the kids did not like it as much and missed their old instructor. My sons word’s “instructor Nerf is a lot more fun and makes us laugh and has lots of games and activities. And more importantly he pushes the students and gets them to be their best”. Also he is very strict when he has to be strict. I’ve never had any problem with them. When the instructor sees a child is feeling down, he gives them some special attention and brings their spirits up. They work on the child’s psychology and gives them confidence. The dojo is very clean and they are very careful with COVID 19 situation, it is really safe and I feel comfortable when my kids are in the dojo. Miss Karen is very helpful and always doing her best to make everything perfect. We really recommend this dojo.
I’ve been taking my son (age 5 now) to Instructor Nurf for about 1.5 years and we glad to be a part of his class. Instructor Nurf is so good with all the kids in the class. He is obviously talented and teaches with so much patience and heart. My son always look forward to going to class. Instructor Nurf makes the class fun, but he is also firm and teaches them values/integrity. Miss Karen is also wonderful. She is great with communication and answers all questions in a timely manner. And she as well is so good with the kids. We highly recommend them to anyone who wants their kids to learn in a safe and happy environment.

I've been taking my children to Instructor Nurf for Tae Kwon Do for about a year. He truly is a great instructor with children. I have personally seen him be friendly with all of his students, yet firm when he without being mean when the need arises. Ms. Karen runs a rather tight ship as well handling the membership side and is always a pleasure to deal with.
Instructor Nurf is a truly dedicated instructor and mentor to my son. We have been with the school for over 2 years and I have nothing but praise for them. Instructor Nurf is extremely patient with every student, makes them laugh at every class, is always there to hold the hand of a child who is unsure or scared, and pushes every student to be their best. Ms. Karen is also extremely dedicated to ensuring organization, attention to detail, and proper management of the business. You will always be met with a smile from both of them. It is a second home to us.
This tae Keon do is truly amazing and the best thing for your children highly recommend it my two grandsons and daughter go and they love it

There's so many options of extracurricular activities for children and adults nowadays. I've come to find out the hard way, most of them are just trendy. However, Ultimate Champion's TaeKwonDo is an art form and skill. I enrolled my niece with Instructor Nurf at his school a year ago. I have witnessed her from being a shy and introverted 4 year old to a more confident, outgoing, and attentive 5 year old. She's able to supplement what her school lacks, at TKD and with Instructor Nurf . She gains more individualized time and directive enabling her to have more structure beyond home and school. Instructor Nurf has established trust with not only my niece, but all his students there. I was extremely impressed by his teaching ethic and the benefits of TaeKwonDo, I myself take lessons from Instructor Nurf. His energy and knowledge is incomparable to other teachers out there. If you want a quality experience at an affordable price, I highly recommend Instructor Nurf and his school. You won't regret it!
a lot of bullying going during the evening classes of advanced belts; and the instructor does not seem to care much - totally unacceptable behavior by the staff and some students.
The team has disciplined my child in ways that does not promote a good self image. Ms Tania has publicly named my son in front of all parents. I have spoken with Nurf, Tania, Corina and Joe, and all shared the same unprofessionalism. There is little to no structure. Homework was incomplete and the teachers have lied on not having their books on multiple occasions. Teachers and staff take pride in giving negative reinforcement instead of positive or a combination thereof. Find a better place for your kids that will nourish and positively develop your children.
