For this being my daughters first experience and mine with martial arts I cannot stress enough that this is the right place to go! They are so wonderful and you can really see they enjoy what they do! My daughter loves going to class!
Mr. Shawn has been a blessing to Independence. From his real-world practicality when it comes to self-defense, to his great spirit, to his ability to drive home the fundamentals of being a great martial artist, Mr. Shawn does it all. If you are sick of the gym or simply want a new skill that is worth it, you have to stop by and see how amazing Mr. Shawn is for yourself.

This place is amazing! I highly recommend you check it out if you are interested in learning martial arts. Mr. Shaun is an incredible teacher. My two boys love coming here and have learned and grown so much in the past year, thanks to Mr. Shaun. He is so patient and kind, but firm which is wonderful. He has helped my boys become more confident.
The instructor Mr Shawn enjoys what he does and takes pride in it and it shows. The students have pride in themselves because they earn their belts, they work hard for them, and feel a great accomplishment. An all over GREAT dojo!!!
