Just started BJJ last week, I've now been involved with both GI and non Gi sessions which were both excellent, the staff and members couldn't have been more welcoming, which was great as I thought turning up on my own would be daunting. But everyone was happy for me to jump in with them during the sessions and gave great advice on techniques etc... Ive now joined with a membership as im convinced this is the place for me. I would highly recommend Celtic pride to anyone.

Visited Celtic Pride MMA in Brynmawr today for a Muay Thai session, and unfortunately it was a really poor experience. As soon as I walked in, there were no friendly faces, no greeting, and no effort from staff to make newcomers feel welcome. I was just asked to pay at the counter, and when I asked where to go, the staff didn’t even seem to know themselves. No acknowledgment from anyone — staff or people already training. The atmosphere felt closed-off and uninviting, almost like outsiders weren’t meant to be there. I felt completely out of place to the point I ended up walking out. Class was meant to start at 6pm, and by 6:15 there was still no sign of the coach. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone new looking to learn. You won’t gain anything here except feeling uncomfortable and being stared at. Very disappointing experience. It also says new starters have a free single session, this is not rhetorical case at all. You will be charged. I would have given 0 stars but there’s no option for it.

Super welcoming atmosphere, being from out of town this is needed. High class coaching and technical wrestling. Highly recommend 🙏
