I trained for four MMA classes at Catch MMA as a drop in when I was visiting the Bay Area. It was a wonderful experience! Everyone was very nice, from Coach Kryspin at the front desk, to Head Coach Omar Kasdi who taught the MMA classes, to the other MMA fighters who trained at the gym. Everyone was a safe but challenging training and sparring partner and the atmosphere was very welcoming. One of the things that stood out to me was that the classes were 1.5 hours compared to the usual 1 hour at many other gyms. The MMA classes were appropriately intense for the sport. There was a lot of situational sparring in disadvantageous positions. There were also some pretty intense cool downs at the end of class. All of this meant that I would leave the gym at the end of every night feeling very satisfied with my training. The MMA classes are very well-structured, and Coach Omar is a wonderful coach. The facilities were amazing, there were two separate mats, both quite spacious, several heavy bags, and a cage. There was also a section for weight training, and several rooms for changing. They let me borrow shin guards as I wasn't able to bring mine with me. At the end of class the mats were cleaned. All in all visiting Catch MMA is one of the highlights of my MMA journey. If I'm ever in the Bay Area again I would train there again for sure.

If you want a great place to learn BJJ in Gi, No-Gi, MMA, Judo, Muay Thai and kickboxing, go to Catch MMA. This gym has incredible coaches (shoutout to coach Omar and coach Krys for helping me) and community of training partners. I’m grateful for the people I met here and training here in the morning and evenings. Bonus: great setup for free weights and cardio machines, nice shower and generally a big gym.

I had the honor to drop in the spur of the moment this morning as a student from a gym back in Minnesota with a good reputation on its own. The team at Catch MMA was very welcoming to me, loaned me a gi, and made sure I had everything I'd need including a belt to match my rank at my home gym. The class was opened up with some mobility drills as we moved into covering some moves I'm going to be adding to my game immediately when I get back on the mats at home on Monday. My partner was respectful and provided a good amount of resistance even though he was significantly larger than me. Then after the class, the black belt in the building was kind enough to do 2 flow rolls with me where we played catch and release for 5 minutes each. After all of this, they made their shower available to me to clean off rather than to leave me to come home a smelling mess. Whether you live in the area and want to check out the martial arts or if you're from out of town and want to make the most of your trip by practicing locally, Catch MMA is a great option! Thank you, Chris, John, Eli & Jeff! If you're ever in Minnesota stop by The Academy BC, I'd love to return the hospitality.

Awesome place. Great for beginners, advanced folks or active fighters. Just started the Kickboxing 🥊 and No GI classes. They will take their time to teach you during drills. Worth the value if you are looking to burn 🔥 calories.
