Had an amazing time training here while working in Oakland. Everyone was friendly and laid back but had the talent to really put in on you without getting crazy and injuring anyone. Beautiful gym with plenty of rolls of all skill levels 👌🏽 worth dropping in
Posted 1 year ago10th Planet Oakland is super clean and has good mats. Separate weight room, shower, and bathroom. Coach Mike is also a solid dude. Do visit!
Posted 1 year agoI have been training at 10th Planet Oakland for 2 months and could not be anymore pleased. The coaches and the other members are phenomenal humans who have been super supportive in getting me started. My personal preference are the am classes due to fewer people which allows for more personal attention. Also my 8 year old son is now training here and I'm excited to learn and grow with him in this environment. Just this week we found out that the gym will be moving into a larger location just a few blocks away which I'm super excited for. All that to say I'm proud to be a Savage! *** The new location is beautiful!! Again I can't say enough about the quality of people I meet here. It's a direct reflection of Professor Hillebrand (owner/head instructor).
Posted 3 years agoI visited the Bay Area recently, and had the opportunity to train at 10th Planet Oakland for a week. Professor Hillebrand welcomed me into his gym, and treated me like one of his regular students. The instruction was spot on, with all of the attention to detail you would expect from 10th Planet. The gym has a great vibe, and a huge diversity of practitioners, men and women of all sizes and ages. I learned a lot and can’t wait until my next visit.
Posted 3 years agoMike is an excellent instructor and the gym is very new/clean. Everyone here is friendly and encouraging. Whether you have zero Jiu Jitsu experience or years of experience, you will learn and improve your skills at 10th Planet.
