I highly recommend Team Extreme to anyone considering martial arts lessons for their kids, or even for themselves! They have a top-notch operation, an engaging studio, and the best, most qualified instructors around. Sensei Krystal and Keith treat everyone like family, and love and appreciate all of their students and parents. One thing that I personally appreciate is the love they have for God and that He is welcomed at their studio. Every accomplishment, no matter how large or small, is celebrated and each student is constantly encouraged to do and be better. Carolina Extreme Martial Arts and Team Extreme are waiting to welcome you to the family. You should check them out!
Can't wait till my MaeBree is old enough to join this is the best around they teach the right way
Awesome people!!! Worked great with my son who is autistic and brought him out of his shell. To say they are special is an understatement. Thanks CEMA
It’s a Great place!!! You meet great people with same interests and great personalities! I would agree this is the place to go!!!
Awesome people with a great attitude. Cool bird too.
Sensei Keith and Krystal are awesome with the kids, providing a safe and calming environment that has already helped my child with her behavior and confidence levels. Very professional, yet welcoming environment that makes you feel right at home from the start!
Always greet customers with a smile also gives a good welcome I wish it would let me put more than 5 stars
Very professional staff and extremely knowledgeable! The best school around! Krystal is great with the kids! Love these guys! Dr. John
Keith and crystal are the best They are patient and caring people. Enjoy their company each time I get the chance to talk with them.
Keith and Crystal are awesome people. They are very friendly and considerate of others. Also you will never have a dull moment around Keith!!!
Great school, kids love their class, instructors has extreme patience with the girls, very informative schedule and best rates for the area.
My daughter loves coming to karate here! Krystal and Keith are great with the kids.
Do you remember the first Karate Kids movie? I would compare this school to the bad one in that movie. On the surface everything is great and their values, principles and discipline seem to be on point. My advice if you choose to go here is keep your eyes open, pay attention to things that may be subtle at first. Do your homework along with background checks.
I don’t recommend this establishment. The way they handle business with the parents is not professional. Which is primarily why I took my daughter out. I take it as a big red flag that parents have no way of watching the classes. While my daughter seemed to enjoy her time there I expect an all around professional atmosphere when trusting and paying money to anyone who is training our daughter. Response to your comment: It is very sad that you are not keeping track of children being picked up from your establishment. The only time I ever left the school was the one time you demanded I go get change for you since you do not keep change in your establishment. I had to ask after 2 months of my child attending your school for you to add my daughter to the drop-off pick up log so you were not even keeping track of children coming and going which is another reason we left. That is a breach of security. As for the payment policies I did pay ontime every month for the first 2 months and my bank declined your draft for fraudulent activity. So that is on your end not mine. When I arrived to communicate this and make a cash payment you ask me to leave my child at your insecure establishment to receive 15$ change so that you could receive your 5$ you so desperately needed. Any parents looking to put your kid here please take note of the unprofessional manner they are treating parents with. Your response only makes your business look bad not me. It’s too bad you cannot resolve business and security related issue professionally and respectfully. Response to textbook #2: How dare you disrespect your former clients. Reviews, negative or positive are intended to better your company. Be professional, not defensive. Oh yes your questionably older husband...interesting you should be over defending that. All your fake 5 star reviews from obvious fake accounts and local name make me chuckle. Dont act like big money. What a fallacy you live. I come from concrete military respectable background. Success. You Krystal, never even spoke to me. I don’t care what you say as I never talked numbers or business with you. You should have more respect for the working class and middle class and check your bank not mine. Good luck.
Definitely do your research on other schools in the area and if you still find yourself choosing this one pay attention. They don’t communicate with parents nearly enough and seem money hungry. After five months there my kids still didn’t know how to punch properly. Instead of telling me that I should pull my daughter out and wait until she’s a little older they continued to collect my money while my daughter learned nothing. Maybe that’s why they don’t let parents watch? Responding to your comment: I agree with almost everything you are saying teaching a young child is very different however they have been in a new school all of two weeks and I’m seeing drastic improvements. I am proud of my children it’s the instruction they’ve been receiving I’m a little disappointed in. In the few short months I have been there I was never allowed to look in and was never told that I would be able to. I have a background in tae kwon do and my sister is a double black belt in tae kwon do and a Hopkido instructor which shows how well you communicate with parents. Thank you for your time and hopefully you guys are able to to take note of your complaints, improve and do well with your business.
Original review All was good until my daughter got on their competition team. We tell them we are going on vacation and missing ONE of the competitions. They got rude and kicked her off the team. Now my 5 year old is devastated. OVER 1 MISSED COMPETITION! Are you serious. Also god forbid you go check on your child when she cries in class. They don’t like that. Money hungry and rude. Response to comment #1 My child has come from sleeping in the car once. Don’t lie on us we don’t force her to do anything she does t want to. We know what we signed and nowhere did it say she would be kicked off for missing one. You do not give list of tournaments to the parents ahead of time. We pay you not the other way around. Yes she has been to more then one karate. The first we felt she wasn’t being challenged. And as for your school you are just rude.. we will not tolerate it. Our daughter deserves the best which wasn’t your school either but we will find something that suits her needs both physically and mentally. We know she can potential get hurt but I know my daughter a lot better then you obviously ever will. So therefore of course if she’s hurt I feel the need to check her over. We left no reviews on the other school if that says anything about your school. You disrespected us and our child. And as for interrupting class you are never available to speak to. Made it your mission to avoid us. And when we asked your husband multiple times about being kicked off the competition he never gave us a straight answer. So yes we asked for a few minutes of your time and you were nothing but rude. Even put down my 5 year old in front of her just because your upset with the parents. Unprofessional. As I’ve said anyone thinking of going here it will be all good at first but keep your ears and eyes open. My response to comment #2 Yes. Our daughter is homeschooled and is in fact a year ahead for her age although, irrelevant in your response to my honest review. Again, as stated above my child came in from sleeping in the car on the way to karate class once from a play date once, again irrelevant. We are blessed that educating our children at home affords our family more time together, for play dates, active outings, and other educational opportunities. Your husband, not you, offered to schedule a time for discussion only after weeks of him avoiding our questions regarding our vacation scheduled prior to any notification of the tournament date. We were not at all rude in inquiring about the team. Rude is continuing to ignore our inquiries. My husband advised you that he was working on the dates you requested to schedule a meeting. Your husband was informed of the start and end dates we would be away which included your Monday parent meeting and the Tuesday class you reference. What is childish is your need to continue to comment interjecting what you deem derogatory, i.e. homeschooling, or just flat out insinuating that my husband wouldn't make time to discuss the team, something we had been attempting to do for weeks. Instead you just couldn't let one person's brief review of her experience stand in addition to those 15 no comment 5 star reviews that were all added on the morning after I wrote my brief review. However, I will say that you have communicated with me more in response to my honest review, albeit indirectly, than you ever have at the school. We didn't leave on bad terms. We just left because we know your school is just not the right fit for our daughter as like most parents we believe our children deserve the best.
