This gym changed my life and that's no exaggeration. I started training here almost 3 years ago and the culture, technique, and camaraderie I have experienced here had molded me into a person I never thought I could be! If you have ever even had a thought of trying out Brazilian jiu jitsu, give Sam a call and get started! You have no idea what you're missing out on
Best jiujitsu gym in plant city by far come in and try it out
My son is going on 8+ years in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He started at age 4,with the majority of that time with Plant City. It's family, mentorship and the top BJJ instruction he has worked with in all of Central FL.Its easily one of the best decisions I made for my son as a full time single father.🤙🥋🙏
Very kind staff, family owned. Instructors are patient, and very knowledgeable. My daughter loved her time at the summer program, and told me about new friends daily. Highly recommended 🥋
Awesome gym! Great training partners and very welcoming instructors and environment.
I will be signing my son up for jiu jitsu shortly, the instructors and brandy are very welcoming and understanding. My son loved having his first free lesson today and he's very excited to come back!
This is a great community made up of coaches, students, and parents who care. I've worked with Coaches Cory and Sam at the NAGA Tournaments for some time now and both are kind, ethical, intelligent, humble guys who also happen to be highly respected BJJ Black Belts. The facility is very spacious, super clean (The bathrooms were so clean I thought they used toothbrushes on the toilets) and there's plenty of opportunities for open training, private lessons, and structured classes. What I like most about this particular academy is the encouraging environment they've created. There's a healthy non-bro-ish competitive spirit. Students are always cheering their classmates on, encouraging each other to push a bit harder, do better, and be the best they can be. It's a really inspiring culture, which is easy to get into and something many people could use in his/her lives. If you or anyone you know is looking to get (and stay) in shape, learn how to fight, or just looking for a fun, new hobby, definitely check Carlson Gracie Plant City out.
The best martial arts school in Plant City!!!! 🤙🔥
Best place to learn and become confident in yourself
A Melhor escola de jiujitsu Brasileiro 🇧🇷 que meus filhos já frequentaram! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 Super super….. recomendo 💗
I've been training here for almost 2 years. I've had martial arts experience elsewhere and I have to say this is the most welcoming and enjoyable place to train! Our instructor, Sam, is very knowledgeable and patient. Whether you're looking for an after-school program for your kids or looking to train yourself, this is the place to be!
Great instructor and atmosphere. Can not recommend enough.
I come to open mat on Fridays. Everyone is very nice. Highly recommend!
If you're looking to get into MMA or improve your skills (which you can always do) then I recommend this gym. The people here are knowledgeable, and likeable and overall it was a good experience. My first day was not a training session, but open mat, and I had a blast. I'm not sure how the other days are but I assume they will be great as well. Coming from someone who has loved fighting for years I'd really recommend this gym.
This place is awesome. They’re very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this gym and have started training here regularly.
Best BJJ school in Plant City and the Head Coach and Owner Samuel Kimmel does an amazing job with the kids AND the adults. Happy to call this new gym home for now!
Best school in Plant City. Professor Sam is dedicated and knowledgeable. Great mat space and many classes options. Great Kids Program!
Sam's an awesome instructor, you'll love his classes.
The very best instructor of BJJ Ive had in years by far. Great location, fun family environment
I came here and did a trial. Really enjoyed it. The teacher is a great guy, and will spend time with you individually if you want it. Few of the people that attended the class were also very nice. Will be signing up soon hopefully if my schedule permits me.
Sam is the best and most experienced instructor in Plant City. We're lucky to have him in this town. My family has been training with him since he opened
I’ve been training at Carlson Gracie PC for about 3 months now and love it. Only regret is not starting years ago. Everyone I’ve worked with has been awesome and I’ve learned something from each training partner.
Amazing place to learn Jiu Jitsu. Sam is a great instructor and will push you past your limits along with teaching you great techniques. Everyone there is friendly and will help you learn along the way.
Top Notch school, Legit Black Belt, best BJJ school in Plant City !!! Sam is a great instructor and active competitor !!!
I was visiting from out of town and looking for a place to train. I found Professor Samuel Kimmel's gym a very welcoming place. He was very hospitable and his students were friendly. The location was good and easy to find. The gym was clean and well kept. I could tell that Professor Samuel took much pride in his school, his students, and his jiu jitsu. Had a BLAST, Professor! It was a pleasure to come and visit, and I hope to come back very soon.
This place is awesome. Good humble people willing to work with people from out of town, and make them feel like family. Absolutely loved it. Recommend them 100 %. Hard to find a legit black belt willing to share all his knowledge take advantage people! I have to drive 2 and a half hrs from home just to find a legit Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belt to train with. 5 stars. COME CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. Their kids program is legit too!
My son loves the grappling free style at the end of each class. Kids classes are Monday-thursday 5:45pm-6:30pm
My kids absolutely love it!!!!! Very affordable for all ages!!!!!
It was pretty cool watching them guys wrestle and Sam teaching them how to do more moves. Sam is a awesome instructor.
Short version: You won't be disappointed. This place and these people can change your life. I've never made so much physical and mental progress in such a short amount of time. I am humbled daily and it's somethings I think everyone could use in their life. Even more impressive, I never feel like a little fish in a ocean of sharks. (Despite how true that really is.) Because everyone has welcomed me with open arms (and closed guards.) Sam is a Jiu Jitsu beast, and one of the most approachable and friendly people I've ever met. He comes across honest and sincere and has nothing but love and patience for his students. Come on down, and give it a roll.
Friendly instructors and students, awesome Jujitsu, a great work out!
I've known Sam for a few years and he invites me to come train as I'm at his sister school in Lakeland. Sam is a patient and detail oriented instructor and it is always a treat to come to his gym.
Great place to train. Sam is a very humble guy to train under and his knowledge of bjj is second to none. Me and my daughter both train at cross guard and we both love it. I would encourage anyone to come down and check this place out!
Great little gym. Great young instructor. This place will only get better.
