We love this place! Coach Q is very kind but firm with the students and you can truly see that he cares about building them up. All the students who come here are very respectful to one another and make all the new comers feel welcomed and comfortable. Even the parents who bring their kids to this gym are so sweet and respectful to one another. There is no “my kid is better than your kid” stuck up vibe here at all. Instead the parents are all respectful and polite to one another and care about each other’s kids. Point being this is the best gym in town to bring your kid to or to come to as an adult. Also as a big plus everything is clean.

2 of my teenage boys train here and they love it. The benefits can be seen both mentally and physically. It’s helped them make positive choices. It’s even opened them up to new experiences participating in different competitions. The coach cares, provides support, and positively encourages everyone. Makes us feel like the gym is a second family.

My son has being training for more than 9 years and now my 4 year old started training at the academy. The professor is very professional and loving and he care about his students. We get treated like family and the environment phenomenal.

My children attend the after school program and they love it. They are creating friendships and learning valuable skills. The coaches are incredibly patient with my children and their learning process. Highly satisfied!

My son has been enrolled in the after school care program for 1 year now and it has made such a positive difference in his life. He has learned about his strengths and weaknesses and how to work harder to achieve more in class and in life. His discipline in sports, with his manners and behavior have all improved as a direct result of being enrolled at Senshi Do Kai MMA in Plant City. The owners are amazing people and do so much for the kids, they put their whole heart and soul in this business and into the kids here. I highly recommend for most all ages, they have something for everyone here.
Personal Training with Liz at SDK is not only more affordable than one would assume, but it also is an amazing workout pushing you to do exercises you never thought you’d do or you never wanted to do. Liz designs a workout regimen based on your goals and physical abilities. For me the workouts have been a combination of HIIT, boxing, body weight and heavier weight training. There hasn’t been one workout yet, where I haven’t left dripping in sweat, muscles shaking, feeling like I couldn’t give one more rep if I tried. Not one of my workouts has been the same and I love that I don’t know what we’re doing until I show up. She is very focused on YOU during that hour making sure that you are doing the exercise properly with good form and engaging the right muscle group. In addition to this Liz helps you identify your caloric needs. She has been an amazing resource to lean on while I have fine-tuned my personal nutrition journey, providing suggestion recipes and identifying existing behaviors that need to be changed. I appreciate every second outside of our one-hour session that she been available via text to coach and guide me through the experience – I have literally been at the store texting her labels and getting her feedback. While I was working on my nutrition, I would send her my planed menu for the coming week to get her feedback. The most important thing that I have found with Liz is that she cares. She cares about YOUR goals. She cares about YOUR nutrition. She wants your goals just as much as you do. I appreciate and respect her because she doesn’t sugar coat things. When she knows you have more to give she pushes for it, when she knows you crushed it she tells you. I can’t say enough good things about my personal training experiences with SDK.

As a mom a feel very comfortable in this environment, he explains everything before you try and if you try and it just not for you, you won't feel pressured to participate, specially with the kids he lets them take their time to warm up to the group classes. I started going to the gym for the adult boot camp, now me and my two kids take classes here. Prices are reasonable and they offer Boot camp, self defense class, after school program and summer camp.
Having my kids be part of this school has been great in many ways. They have learned so much in many different aspects of their life. Instructor is amazing with the kids, preparing them for both BJJ competitions,real world self defense situations, discipline, and respect. We initially started my son there on recommendation from his therapist .... the gains we have seen in all aspects of is life are incredible and have far exceeded any gains we saw during regular physical therapy.
Amazing program. The owner and wife have great love and care for their students. The options for classes are great!!! Boot camp , MMA training for youth and adults and even Personal Training !! Our family loves Senshi Do Kai very much !
Training here is an amazing experience. They truley break it down for you where you can easily understand it and then they have you quickly implement it through technique and repetition. I love it because they do not sugarcoat or baby anything, but still always show grace and respect. I consider them family and I know the feeling is mutual.
Family friendly environment. The instructor is very well educated and rounded in the arts. With every class a great amount is learned and taught. Give it a shot, you won't regret it.
