My brother attends this academy and I cannot begin to explain how amazing this experience has been for him. The staff are amazing, especially Miss Parneet. She is an incredible instructor, role model, and genuinely kind person. She creates such a positive and supportive environment while encouraging every student to do their best. My brother trains at the academy, and I've seen firsthand how much he's grown, not just in his skills, but also in his confidence and discipline. The academy is amazing, with a welcoming atmosphere and instructors who truly care about their students' development. Miss Parneet's passion, patience, and dedication make a real difference, and it's clear she goes above and beyond for everyone she teaches. I would highly recommend this academy to anyone looking for a place that helps students grow both on and off the mats!

Coach Rick, Coach Latvia and the entire Team have been an incredibly supportive addition to our village. As a busy mom wanting the best for her child, I chose this Team to teach, model and encourage strong values that will outlast any challenge life presents. It's been nearly 5 years since my child joined and it has been one of the best decisions I have made. My child has developed lifelong skills, character and confidence - a dream come true as a parent! The added bonus of meeting some great families makes it even better of an experience.

So grateful to have found this place ❤️ Coach Rick was extremely receptive from the beginning. He is focused, present, and you can feel the love for what he does. The atmosphere is friendly and empowering, and in a very short time I’ve met many amazing human beings. BJJ classes started changing my son right away — he’s become more confident, empowered, and is learning to stay calm and breathe through discomfort, which is a life skill. It was so good that I joined shortly after, and BJJ has already changed so much in me too. Every class feels like therapy. I couldn’t recommend Gracie Humaita Mississauga more for both children and adults. You will be in great hands!

We came to CBBA after a bad experience at another academy, and Coach Rick has completely turned things around. He’s patient, fun, and has total control over the class while fostering a respectful and supportive environment. When my son or any of the kids struggle with instructions, Coach Rick or the other coaches always take the time to show them and ensure they understand. Since joining, my son is more motivated—both in Jiu Jitsu and in everyday life. We’re so glad to be a part of Coach Rick’s class and can’t wait to continue learning. Highly recommend CBBA for anyone looking for a place where kids not only learn Jiu Jitsu but also build confidence and character!

My daughter and I have been training at Canadian Black Belt Academy/Gracie Humaita Mississauga, and it’s been an incredible experience for both of us. The instructors are amazing—patient, skilled, and passionate about teaching. They make sure everyone, from kids to adults, gets the attention they need to improve. Everyone is super friendly and always available to help, making each visit enjoyable. The best part is the family culture here. We feel like we’re part of a community that supports and motivates each other. It’s a fantastic environment for families and individuals alike. Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning JiuJitsu!

My son attends class twice a week with Coach Rick and Sensei Latavia and absolutely loves it. I have seen a positive leap in his behaviour, development, and athletic capabilities since starting at CBBA. The coaches are very skilled and able to train the 4-6 year Olds in such a fun, but focused manner. The class instills a foundation of self-discipline, respect for themselves and others and confidence. It was the best decision to join CBBA and I recommend it to all parents in the area!
