Absolutely love Caio Terra Queens! The instructors are truly exceptional. They create a welcoming environment that makes learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu enjoyable and effective. Each class is not only informative but also filled with positive energy and camaraderie. I've found a fantastic community here—everyone is supportive and passionate about the art. Highly recommend joining if you’re looking to learn and connect with great people!
I've been training at CTA Queens on and off for almost a year. I love it. The instructors are approachable and friendly. I highly recommend anyone who wants to start BJJ or Muay Thai to train here.
Such a great experience to be welcomed as a family and learn from great minds in both Muay Thai and BJJ disciplines! The hospitality and inclusivity is unmatched.
Great gym that provides very detailed Beginner and Advanced BJJ classes, and a gym with weights and equipment which is included with the membership. Love the variety of training partners and styles, and it's really rare to find a gym with an open mat on Sunday so that's a huge plus!
I can’t express the amount of appreciation I have for CTA. Charlie is a true gem and one hell of a mentor who made the introduction to BJJ an incredibly comfortable, fun, and engaging experience. The entire community at CTA always makes me feel welcomed, important, and encouraged to keep making progress. Fantastic facility as well that is both spacious and clean. Highly, highly recommend!
Charlie is the best jiujitsu instructor you could ever ask for.
The instructions are experts of their craft and it shows in the way they teach. They are patient, cheerful, and most importantly knowledgeable. I always felt engaged and treated with respect.
Training with Charlie has been amazing for my growth as a person and my jiu jitsu. He really cares about his students and takes the time to teach them and make sure that you grasp what he is showing you no matter how long it takes. 100 percent recommend training here.
i've been learning BJJ here for a few months and it's been quite an addiction because the instructors are great, the training partners (of all ages) are awesome and the place is well kept. it's a no-pressure place to learn martial arts where everyone respects each other and it's been a super fun experience every time...
If you’re looking to learn BJJ from experienced and talented Professors in the Queens area, Caio Terra Queens is the place to be training at. A very nice facility with lots of mat space, and a friendly and supportive environment. An awesome place to be training BJJ 👍 Oss!
Working with Charlie has been a phenomenal experience! Charlie is an amazing instructor. Coming in as a woman completely new to BJJ, I was scared and assumed I would not be coming back after the first class. He immediately made me feel at ease, and showed me how amazing BJJ was. He made me feel comfortable, not only as a brand new student to BJJ, but also as a woman. I highly recommend Charlie and Caio Terra Academy to anyone looking for the best possible BJJ instruction!!
Definitely one of the best bjj academies in NYC. Instructors are professional and knowledgeable, environment is clean and well maintained. Would recommend!
Incredible high level teachers and camaraderie in this gym. I have a great time every class. Highly recommended
Best place to learn BJJ and also get the cardio in💪🏼
CTA is an amazing and friendly atmosphere to train in! Charlie the head instructor along with Tad, and Mike really help the students out every class. Their attention to detail and level of instruction is world class. I’ve been fortunate enough to train under professor Charlie since I was a blue belt. He has not only changed my jiujitsu but has made me a better human being off the mats! You won’t be disappointed training here. Highly recommended.
CTA Queens provided an excellent training experience. Knowledgeable instructors, diverse classes, and a friendly atmosphere make it suitable for practitioners of all levels. The emphasis on technique and practical application ensures both skill development and a strong sense of community among members. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a welcoming environment to learn and improve their jiujitsu skills. It really feels like a family.
After about 5 months of training I have experienced: -knowledge from a talented pool of professors with the most direct lineage to the pioneers of BJJ ive ever trained with. -an in-house tournament featuring competitors across NYC and Long island -team mates that push and support each other. -visits from world class champion affiliates in CTA -a home for my family to train for many years to come.
As an avid practitioner, I can definitely say CTA Queens is on point. The instructors work hard to make sure the students are properly learning Jiu-Jitsu. Jiu-Jitsu is not easy, and you need very good instructors to help in this journey.
By far the best teachers I've learned from. Also great group of people on the mat overall
This gym has to be the best gym that I have had the pleasure of training at. Professor Charlie, Tad, and Mike are passionate and knowledgeable instructors. Tough training partners and a clean environment, what more can a grappler ask for?!
