Professor Vu is a great instructor! The atmosphere in this gym is exactly what you want in a BJJ gym: warm, welcoming, and family friendly. I stopped by to train while in town and was treated like family.
Posted 8 months agoWe’ve been training at Caio Terra Jiu Jitsu in Alexandria for about a year now, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! Our 9-year-old son has learned so much both on and off the mat. The teaching style here is exceptional—Professor Vu, his wife, Coach Grant, Coach Anthony and assistants all create an environment that fosters growth, respect, and discipline. We like the emphasis on solid techniques and the fact that belts are earned through skill, not just given out. It’s clear that this school is family-run and everyone genuinely cares about the students, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Our son has enjoyed here, and we are excited to continue our Jiu Jitsu journey with such amazing coaches who go above and beyond for their students. Highly recommend!
Posted 11 months agoCaio Terra Association has brought great joy to me in many ways. At first, I thought that I wanted to try something new because I was constantly getting bullied. But now that I have been training for 3 years. I have realized how much this association has taught me. It has taught me respect, discipline, patients, thinking before doing things, and most importantly, being humble. Not only has this association brought me great joy and skill, but it has also been a great family to me. From day one, I've been impressed by the welcoming and supportive atmosphere at this gym. Coach/Professor Vu is an exceptional teacher who excels at breaking down techniques in a way that's easy for beginners to understand. His clear explanations and patient approach have been instrumental in my progress. What truly sets this academy apart is the family-like environment. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also create a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for students of all levels. The training is both rigorous and rewarding, showing me that technique and the discipline needed to improve technique is so important. There is a lot of camaraderie among members. Everyone seems to be there to learn and to help each other succeed. I definitely recommend them. Caio Terra Academy is the place to be.
