Excellent for youth group activities. We took a youth group here and they all loved it. They got to learn a few basics as well as play a few fun physical games. It was very reasonably priced as well. We had young men and women in a group of about 15.
Excellent place to learn any of the offered disciplines. Excellent facilities and knowledgeable and experienced instructors. Additionally, one of the ONLY places that has classes for 3year olds. Most start em off at 5. Coach Koffi Adsitzo is excellent with the kids. If you or your little ones are thinking of BJJ, boxing, Muy Thai, wrestling or MMA- this is the place!
Pretty cool place to learn martial arts flexible schedules and options . Good to develop a good discipline and strength. Teachers are amazing and they have the understanding when working with kids
I've been going here a little over 6 months. Both BJJ instructors are top notch. I started here already as a blue belt 2S and was welcomed by everyone. I highly recomend.
Coach Koffi is a great role model for kids and adults. He's firm with the younger kids when needed and is also very considerate if they are struggling. The gym has a welcoming culture for all abilities.
Been training here for a while as I've been going to USU. By far the best gym I've been to and would highly recommend to anyone interested in bjj or judo
Best BJJ Program in Cache Valley Pros: 1. Exceptional Coaching: At the heart of Cache Valley Martial Arts and Fitness’ BJJ program is its chief coach, Koffi Adzitso. A distinguished figure on the world stage, Koffi represents the US in world championships and bringing home medals. His approach to coaching is both knowledgeable and patient, focusing on nurturing each student's unique skill set. This personalized training philosophy ensures that students develop their own style rather than merely replicating the coach's techniques. 2. Superior Training Facilities: The BJJ program boasts what I believe to be the largest mat area in Cache Valley, providing ample space for training. This spacious area is complemented by top-tier equipment, creating an ideal environment for both learning and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. 3. Inspiring Training Environment: Training alongside MMA and BJJ champions from various organizations is both an honor and a great learning opportunity. These teammates are not only keen on honing their own skills but are equally committed to helping others improve. This collaborative and supportive atmosphere enhances the overall training experience, contributing significantly to both skill development and athleticism. Cons: 1. Ambiguous Promotion Criteria: One area that could use improvement is the program's promotion system. Currently, advancements seem to be based solely on the coach's subjective judgment, lacking a clear and transparent checklist for progression. This can be demoralizing for some, as it creates uncertainty around the criteria for advancement. Conclusion: Cache Valley Martial Arts and Fitness offers what I consider to be the premier BJJ program in the valley. It's an ideal choice for those looking to sharpen their skills, enjoy camaraderie with teammates, and elevate their competitive edge in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Despite the somewhat unclear promotion system, the program's strengths in coaching, facilities, and team dynamics make it a top choice for both novice and seasoned practitioners alike.
While visiting Logan, UT, I dropped in at this gym for a no-gi jiu jitsu class. Prof. Koffi was helpful right away in getting me set up for class, and Prof. Cody was very welcoming and taught a great class. All the students I got to train with were excellent representatives of their school's friendly culture. I'm definitely looking forward to when I can visit again.
Awesome place to train.
Great atmosphere, very applicable applications during practice and everyone there is friendly helpful and willing to work with what they can! Great place!
Best place to train in the Cache Valley. Koffi is an excellent coach who's goal is to make everyone better. His priority to improving each and every students skillsets.
Incredible atmosphere, surround yourself with good people and the possibilities are limitless. That is exactly how I feel every time I show up to this gym, the folks here look out for each other. The owner Koffi is very safe and kind.
I drive about an hour and pass two other gyms on my way to CVMA because of how good I think this gym is. Koffi is an outstanding instructor and coach. The variety and quality of training is unmatched.
I’m so grateful to have found CVMA, After moving on a limb to Cache valley from South OC in California I was seriously worried that I would not find a gym that could offer the high level training I’m used to. I quickly came to realize Koffi exceeded my needs and blew away my expectations. Koffi is a phenomenal coach and has so many great teaching methods. From his combos, techniques, repetition, drills and skill he trains you to puts all the pieces together perfectly. It’s been so cool to watch the ppl in our class & fight team of all ages and levels become better fighters and grow their skill, confidence and experience in fighting. Koffi has a special passion and dedication for this sport and for his fighters. Honestly you won’t find another gym that can offer what we have here at CVMA ♥️
Love cache valley martial arts we get the ability to train hard ,good sparring partners and friendly environment coach puts time in for each fighter to get better Just a good time every time I’m there !
Best MMA gym in Northern Utah for all levels of experience! Super welcoming, great learning environment, and the owner Koffi is awesome!
Really great schedule to work around. There are morning and evening classes which makes it pretty available regardless of your work schedule or if you end up with a free day you could really get a lot of hours of training in. Awesome coaches to go along with that.
I absolutely love this gym! The space is clean and inviting and the coaches there are so incredible. This gym and these people have changed my life forever and for the better!
My 7 year old son came for a trial day at this gym. The gym is clean and comfortable and the staff was professional and very helpful. Everyone was very welcoming and my son had a really good time. We came in knowing nothing about any type of martial arts and my son felt welcomed and very comfortable getting involved in activities that were new to him. The instructors were very involved and maintained good structure and fun for the kids. I like that there is a clear and set class schedule and price here, and I really appreciated the parent sitting area. I was surprised to see several girls in the class, and a female instructor. While not necessary, I know this would help my daughter feel more comfortable and welcomed in this gym also.
Friendly helpful and knowledgeable instructors, honestly wish I could train here more often.
Easily one of the most welcoming gyms in the area. Came by as a visitor looking for a place to train and it lives up to its rating here. Koffi is a great instructor, got some quality rolls with high level competitors and everyone was fun to talk with. 100% recommend
Cache Valley Martial Arts offers a fantastic kid's Jiu Jitsu class. I love the no-nonsense concentration on technique and core values instead of just filling time with activities that keeps kids busy. There is a lot to cover, especially with kids. CVMA does a great job balancing the physical practice with the mental discipline that carries on beyond its doors.
Awesome coaches who are dedicated and supportive. They each are well trained and know what they are doing. My son has learned so much in just a year.
I trained here over the span of nearly a year (in jiu jitsu) before having to move for work. Leaving this gym was the hardest part about moving. I entered the gym as a new white belt, and was greeted with kindness and comradery. The instructors and higher belts are very knowledgeable, but also personable and willing to help with any questions you have. It is a great gym, with great instructors, and great people.
So glad we signed our kids up.
I've done Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the past three years and love coming to this gym. The owners and coaches are wonderful at creating a healthy and safe environment to come learn and train. As a woman I understand how coming into a sport that is largely dominated by bigger stronger men is initiating and scary, however I have never felt unsafe or threatened at the gym. Quite the opposite, in fact. I don't feel the coaches have an ego and instead are there to teach because they genuinely love the sports they are involved in and want to share that passion. In my experience the gym and it's coaches have been wonderful at adapting different teaching methods based on an individuals need. I am usually one of the smaller, if not smallest people on the mats for class. And yet the coaches are great at teaching moves with slight variances based on an individuals needs. Not every move a 135 limber female can do will be as effective for a 220+ less limber male. And vice versa. I feel the classes have found a nice balance between acknowledging these differences and working to teach each to their advantage. Whether your wanting to learn how to fight, simply get a good work out, or maybe something in between, I highly recommend Cache Valley Martial Arts!
Great atmosphere. Great culture. Quality instructors. Family friendly. They’re the best. What could I say more?
Cache Valley Martial arts has some of the best coaches and kindest people! I absolutely love being apart of this community and would recommend them to anyone interested in learning martial arts!
Wonderful place to train! good instruction, every one was polite and respectful, and they were beasts on the mat!
My kid loves it.
Koffi Adzitso is an amazing youth instructor - he is great with my special needs son by helping him focus on process as a path to a result - not just on endless rules for the sake of rules. Highly highly recommended. We have been to two other schools in the valley, this one is in a whole other league. We are lucky to have a professional athlete in Logan who is willing to spend so much time and effort with the youth.💛 💛 💛
Coaches are great. Fellow students are great. Facility is great. Really like this place for MMA, Boxing and BJJ.
Great place, great community!
This is the only Dojo to go to in Logan. Very professional. The best instructor I have seen in Utah.
Great gym! You’ll become family!
This place is more than a gym. It is a community that pulls together to look after their members. I promise you will become a part of a family.
You guys have been awesome! Great coaches and great facility, love coming here due to the awesome environment and community here
Great gym! They go above and beyond for their members. Highly recommended.
Great place!
Such an Amazing gym and community.
They truly care and it’s evident! Great instructors and amazing community!
This place is incredible. It’s not only a place for fitness and to build skill..... it is a “family”! Thank you for the love and support you give beyond the “mat”.
I box and do Jujitsu here and it is incredible. Coach Shane for boxing is incredibly knowledgeable and good at working with all age groups and genders. The jujitsu coaches are amazing as well. It is hard to feel comfortable as a woman in sports like this that are dominated by men, but I have never once felt uncomfortable and I have been doing both for about a year. They also have a women only jujitsu class twice a week which has been wonderful. I definitely recommend!
Knowledgeable, professional instructors with years of experience go try a class and you'll be hooked!
Great place, great owner, great instructors.
Whether you're looking for a class for yourself, your teenager, or a younger child, kyukido at Cache Valley Martial Arts is an excellent option. First thing you should know, there are several different classes; taekwondo/kyukido, judo, boxing, and jiu jitsu. My review is based on experience in the taekwondo/kyukido side of the mat. There's a nice balance between competition/sparring skills, traditional forms, fitness kicking, and other activities. As for the quality of technical skills taught, all I can say is that there's a reason why people from this school consistently win medals in competitions in both taekwondo and judo. Mr. Allman is an excellent instructor with years of experience and a refreshingly positive attitude. The kyukido classes are a good option whether you're looking to compete or just want a fun way to get a great workout. That's my experience with the adult classes. As for the kid's classes, I think both the general children's class and the little tiger's class are excellent. The activities are age appropriate, there is plenty of supervision, and there's good discipline. Mr. Allman does more than teach kids to kick. He teaches them respect and self-discipline and makes an effort to maintain a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. This is definitely an above-average school in terms of skill and attitude. I highly recommend it.
In response to the gentleman above . It's not that uncommon for a higher ranked person to have those talks with new people . When you get young strong athletic people coming in that don't know how to use their bodies and what speeds to go at it often results in someone getting hurt . Jiujitsu is a powerful art and has to be taught to the right people in the right way . I have personally kicked many people out of my class that don't have the right mentality for the Art . From what you said you don't seem like that is the case . I hate to assume but if I were to assume my bet would be you were just excited and don't fully understand the process yet . If you go back with a smile on your face and do what was asked of you then you will be welcomed with open arms . If you go back and do the same types of things you more then likely will " get the f--- beat out of you " . I hope you pick the first one . Jiujitsu is so we can defend our selves and to help those that can't defend them selves. That power can't be given to just anyone . The fighting arts have lost a lot of meaning over the years . People use to have to wait outside just to be asked in , then clean the mats and bathrooms to prove their dedication , and so on before someone would teach you . Now people want to have all of that knowledge and power just given to them just because. It doesn't work that way my friend . I have trained at cache valley MMA , I have been invited to teach there a handful of times and have always found it to be a very warm welcoming school . Sum it up to , take the lesson that was given to you and go back to train to being a better you . If not , someone will fix it for you . It's the way the world works .
Very unfair refund policies. Don’t put your card on file.
This place is very disgraceful low quality poor coaches bad staff and it’s a bad facility
