Karate and Jiujitsu classes in the heart of Stockport at Bushido Martial Arts
Our lad who is 8 has been coming here now for 4 years with my husband joining him a few months after. My lad started doing freestyle karate first and we cannot thank Sensei Paul enough, for all that he has taught him and making the lessons fun.
He has now joined the jujitsu side of the class and he's loving the times when he gets taught by Senpai Terry.
Everyone is so friendly and looks out for each other. My lad and husband love it here. Each week they are learning something new and increasing their fitness and confidence.
It feels like one big family.
Bushido Martial arts is fantastic for all ages. All the senseis are fantastic and have their own unique style and skills My boys started when they were both young about 6 (hard to remember) and loved it from the very beginning Bushido has helped shape them into the young men there are today. Both of my boys do freestyle karate as well as ju-jitsu and weapons training and fitness. Bushido has helped shape their physical and mental well being. Keeps them focused on their goals not just in the dojo but outside too. As the lesson you learn at Bushido are far more than just the Karate. Bushido is more than just a Karate school it’s a community a family and we have been part of the Bushido family for 10 years. And at one point we were all involved and going on the mat in some shape or another as there is lots to offer. If you are looking for something for yourself or your children to get into to get fit have fun make friends achieve goals then Bushido is a really good place to that. And out of all the clubs my kids do / did (there have been so many) this is the one they have stuck with over the years and has been the most value for money for a parents point of view. They give back in a big way with the end of year presentation nights where we celebrate everybody success and the clubs achievements. 5 stars would recommend to anyone
My children have been going here for just under a year and it’s a great set up and the instructors are all very good and the sessions are always great fun. Keep it up
I've been training at Bushido for almost a year and I love it. The instructors are friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable, and it feels like a found family. The lessons are challenging but well structured and I always feel like I've achieved something at the end of a session.

Cannot recommend highly enough.
My son has been attending for about ten years and is now black belt in jujitsu. His good friend joined and was more suited to freestyle (karate) and the could go together and train in parallel. The weapons classes are fun and they are winning prizes in tournaments.
We tell anyone who will listen what a lovely group this is. Great leaders, lovely families and members. A true community.
I've been training in Jiu Jitsu at Bushido for less than a year, and the experience has been outstanding. The improvement in my fitness and strength is noticeable, and I feel more confident in my abilities. Sensei Atticus is an exceptional instructor, always patient and encouraging, making each class both challenging and enjoyable. The community at Bushido is welcoming and supportive, which makes every session something to look forward to. I would definitely recommend Bushido to anyone interested in martial arts or looking to enhance their fitness journey
Great friendly and knowledgeable Instructors who are trained to a very high standard . All ages are welcome to try out Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Kickboxing and Traditional Weapons. The first lesson is free and everyone is made welcome.
Great family friendly atmosphere, great instructors, fun for all ages and abilities. Me and my 5 year old son have been training at Bushido since the start of the year and love the place. Always welcomed with a smile and would thoroughly recommend you come along and get involved.
