I'm taking the Balance fit class. I have lost 10lbs and I feel so much better! The instructor is amazing, she takes the time to make sure we have the forms correct. She makes it fun and you forget you're working out.
The Balance Fit class has been fun and challenging over the past six weeks. Ma’am Tish has adapted each workout to our level of fitness. The focus of the class is on building strength and using martial arts techniques for fitness. I loved doing kickboxing workouts when I was younger and this is a lower intensity version of that. It’s a ladies only environment so very encouraging and fun to be around.
Awesome dojo. The classes are very age and experience relevant and there is a good mix of different styles of martial arts, from jujitsu to karate, boxing and taekwondo, as well as king fu and free style techniques. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and the spring padded floor is very comfortable on the ankles and feet. Overall, a great dojo and very family friendly environment.
I have only been to Bullitt County Martial Arts Academy once, but I can already tell that it's going to be a great place to learn and where you can meet friends that become like family! It has so much potential and many opportunities to challenge students of all different ranks and stages of life they are in! I will say, one thing that can feel challenging is having to learn Japanese because it's brand new, but everyone is so helpful and most of them are learning right along with you! I mean what student wouldn't want to impress others by learning another language! In the end, they are all about wanting you to become a well-rounded Mixed Martial Artist!
Having trained under Sensei Michael both personally and alongside my children for several years, I can wholeheartedly vouch for his skill, wisdom, dedication, and heartfelt care for others. The dojo itself provides a unique ambiance, blending tradition with function and offering a refreshing departure from typical modern setups, enhancing the martial arts experience. BCMAA has a great head instructor that is not only very skilled and knowledgeable in jujutsu and traditional martial arts but also a wonderful teacher. I have learned a lot from Sensei Crump over the years and look forward to learning a lot more with his new school over the coming years. Whether young, old or somewhere in between, or male or female, or new to martial arts or experienced, BCMAA is definitely a dojo worth checking out!
This school has helped my kids so much from being more respectful to being more responsible. They have a blast every time they are there and even though they are learning they are having fun at the same time. I enjoy watching them they are so proud of themselves after each class. They also have classes for every age including adults. It’s a very family friendly environment. If you’ve ever thought about having your child join or even you self join a martial arts school I would highly recommend checking Bullitt County Martial Arts Academy out!
We haven't been coming here very long due to them just opening not long ago but we have been since opening day we have enjoyed every bit of it the instructors are great with the children and help the children understand my kids have learned so much and their behaviors have changed so much it's truly been one of the best decisions I've made for my kids not only are they learning but I have actually learned some stuff myself
