I had the best experience at their women's self-defense workshop. The instructors were patient and encouraging with everyone and took the time to make sure we understood each movement. The atmosphere and relationships they have with their members made their academy feel very welcoming. I'm looking forward to attending the weekly classes.

My daughter has been training in BJJ at Apex for several months. She is learning to protect herself and building relationships with a great group of people. Her coaches are professional, knowledgeable, and ensure her safety at all times. I highly recommend this program!

This facility is simply fantastic! The top-notch environment caters to both kids and adults. The coaches are fantastic, creating a positive learning atmosphere. Classes are well-designed, making it an ideal place for learning Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, and Muay Tai. Highly recommended!

My kiddo started back in May. He was bullied at school and not very confident. Thus started our journey at Apex. Since then his confidence has grown tremendously, he is learning to stick up for himself and is making great friends. The coaches are fantastic, truly a family atmosphere. All are welcomed.

James and Pinky are great. You can tell they're warm and inviting, plus the instruction is top notch. The coach really watches you and helps you develop your technique.

Great vibes at this gym. I’m visiting Louisville for a couple weeks and wanted to drop in at a gym or two. I messaged Apex MAA on their website and they responded within an hour. Upon arrival, I was impressed with their mat space for their Muay Thai classes and Jiu Jitsu classes. There’s a waiting area with chairs, restroom, changing room, and lockers. The instruction was great and the guys/girls in the gym were tough and had good vibes. You’ll get good high level rolls, but still friendly vibes during and after. I would recommend this gym to any of my friends visiting the area.

I have attended Apex since 2018 and I have been very happy with the experience and the team of people who teach/attenend. I have grown to know and care about many of the people, and I have gained much of my skill and knowledge here. Would recomend if you are trying to find a gym to grapple, strike, or even get in a little better shape.

I can’t say enough good things about Apex and the wonderful people who own and train there! The family environment is one of my favorite things about Apex. I searched for a long while to find a gym to join for classes for my kids. I wanted a place that was legit. If I was going to have my kiddos take MMA classes I wanted a place where the instructors knew what they were doing. Most places, especially for my young kids, had classes “taught” by other kids or teens. When learning a sport like MMA, you have to have people who know what they are doing in order to teach correct technique in order to avoid bad habits and especially injury... and I found that in Apex. Love them up there! Again, I can’t say enough good thing about them. If you are looking for a gym who knows what they are doing, great with kids, very fair on cost and love what they do.... look no further... you found it.

I started here with their first annual Women's Seminar in self-defense and LOVED the environment! Being comfortable in a gym is very important to me. Pinky is sure to make the ladies feel most comfortable with a women's only kickboxing class. No judgment or worry about how we look! Just training and concentrating on technique! Every woman needs a tribe of other women cheering her on! If you don't have that already, come join us!

The instructor is amazing with little ones! They even got me willingly joining in, and I would've never thought about doing any type of martial art. Its not just "martial arts" it's self defense! I'd definitely recommend this gym to anyone interested in self defense! Everyone is very respectful and makes you feel welcome. A very family oriented atmosphere and definitely a "no judgement" zone.
