    coach kara and john skaly are fantastic. instruction and practice are founded on traditional kodokan judo but also include modern updates. they will push you but not to the point of harm. many times, i have sat out for a spell to catch my breath. great bunch of people that will help you in your judo pursuit. space is small for now. class size is small also so, for many classes, you're working one-on-one with the instructors - basically, a private lesson every class. safe neighborhood, clean mats and dojo, plenty of well lit parking.
