This review is based on the Oxford Brookes University Climbing Centre (to be precise). I have been going to the Oxford Brookes University Climbing Centre for about two years now & very fortunate to be there while they extended the back; now the bouldering section is almost doubled in size, which is brilliant. The rope walls are less plentiful, but still having three auto-belays as well allows those climbers going on their own to stretch their muscles still and test their skills

I have been there only a couple of times, once to sit an exam and in another occasion, to use the climbing wall. It's a decent sports centre.

Very good clean indoor sports hall. I usually come here in the mornings to play some badminton. It’s nice and cheap. £10 per court and the court can cater up to 4 players. However renting the rackets and shuttles can be expensive so if you play badminton I recommend investing in your own gear. Going early in the morning is the best thing to do as there isn’t much people and no one else is using the court either.

Pretty good gym, basic gym, although never any soap in the women’s bathroom. I’ve reported this many times and it never gets filled up!

The climbing is good and fun, but fairly small, there’s cheaper climbing in London with way more walls. Good cheap drinks at the bar. The main negative is the app, a terrible terrible app! To book anything you need an account, but you can’t make a password for the account on the app, you have to follow all these links and go back and forth between the app, emails and your browser to be able to set it up, so tedious!
