The roles are honest and competitive but not to the point where anyone is trying to hurt you-I’m an electrician so I need to use my body. Between the confidence I’ve gained, improvements to my health and wellness, and friends I’ve made this place is it. Come join the fam!

In short, world class instruction. Whether you're a visiting BJJ black belt or a complete newbie walking in you'll learn something before you leave. If you're coachable and willing, you might never run out of ways to improve your fighting/grappling from the Muay Thai, Jiu-jitsu, Wrestling, and Judo offered. After you leave your ego at the door, then the fun begins. Although not only your ego but your body will be quite sore depending on how much "fun" you're having...😶🌫️

I've trained at multiple gyms in Massachusetts but this has been one of the best stacks of diverse classes, levels to train with and coaches. Highly recommend for beginners or others looking to switch to a new gym.
Dropped in while in town. Had some great rolls, met some great people, and learned a new detail for bottom half guard. Will be back the next time I'm in Boston.

Great time training at Broadway Jiu Jitsu. I’m visiting from North Carolina and they welcome me to their gym for the day. I was able to do an open mat and a no gi training in the same day!

I have been training in Broadway for a year, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The instructors are highly knowledgeable and approachable, making sure that every student, regardless of their skill level, feels comfortable and included. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and provides a great atmosphere for learning and growth. I also had the pleasure to working with Dima, one of highly skilled instructor, I have trained with him for BBJ and kickboxing, and I am looking forward to do more!

Great martial arts studio located in Southie! My friend and I went to a trial judo session as our first time training. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, great studio for beginners. Would highly recommend.
Pretty impressed with the size of this gym and the overall culture. Overall very inviting, helpful, organized, and skilled instructors. Really appreciate the level of detail and explanation behind what is taught. Also, being a female in a male dominant place ….. I like how you aren’t treated any different.

I'm Brazilian and I've been practicing jiujitsu for 3 years on ChuteBoxe gym, I'm a blue belt over there. I came to spend some time in Boston and I was looking for a gym to train jiu jitsu, by chance I found Broadway. The best choice I made was to go train there. Very receptive and pleasant people, very well done and without fuss. I really enjoyed training and meeting new people. I will definitely take more classes and I want to train muaythai too. Congratulations to the participants. I highly recommend going to train there, whether beginners or more experienced.
I dropped in while I was in Boston for business. Prof Clarke led a great class and we were able to get some challenging situational live rounds in. Everyone was very welcoming and I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a place to train. I’ll be stopping in any chance I get. Thanks for a great workout and I’ll see again soon!
Attended a 7am no-gi class. Instructor was very friendly and active in coaching the class during drills. Very clean facility and very welcoming group. Hope to drop in again one day!

In town for a conference, so I stopped on for a gi Jiu-jitsu class. I enjoyed the instruction and rolls. Very competitive, but friendly school. I got rolls with purple, brown and black belts.
Was in town for a conference and looking for a place to train. It was easy to find information on their website and text their number to get more specifics. Very friendly staff and owner. Had great rolls with some very talented people. Ample training space. They have loaner gis as well which is great for travelers. They also have men’s and women’s locker rooms and showers. Would definitely train here next time we’re in town.
Fantastic place to train. They have excellent instructors and offer classes for all skill levels. You can rent a gi and have a great time while you’re in the city. I will definitely come back if I visit Boston again.
My son trained here While we visited Boston and it was a very welcoming environment and I watched a class he did and was very impressed with the quality of instruction he received and the skills of the training partners he engaged with …this is a great gym and a very inviting space.
While visiting Boston for a few days, I dropped into this gym. What a great group of guys and gals. I was warmly welcomed by Dmitri and young Andrew (thanks for the fist bump young Andrew!). Instant camaraderie and respectful, hard rolls with the other students in the class. The instruction was excellent. Dmitri took the time to answer specific questions and help with details while we were drilling. If I lived in Boston, I’d be here 4 days a week no question.
This place has an awesome vibe with some great skill on the mats and some really great instructors ….the front desk staff is really inviting and the talent on the mat is top notch I dropped in for a few classes here when I was in town from Toronto and def got some great rds with the crew… highly recommend checking Broadway out of your in town visiting.
Dropped in to the 7am No-Gi Fundamentals class and was greeted by friendly staff and members. The facility is spacious and clean and the overall vibe was pleasant. As a female practitioner, I’m accustomed to being one of the only, if not *the* only, female on the mats and never know how I will be received when dropping into new places but I really appreciated the detailed instruction and the rolls at Broadway — no egos with people trying to show off but also no one took it easy on me just because I’m a gIrL. -Rina
This is a fantastic dojo ran by JC that consists of highly skilled instructors & students, & it has a diverse curriculum for those with different martial arts interests: BJJ - Gi & No-Gi, Judo, Wrestling, & Muay Thai. I’ve spent most of my time training Judo here. The Judo classes are great. Shoutout to Sensei Sophetra Ken & Jay Lee!
I dropped in for the Saturday 10:00 AM Muay Thai class. I had never done a class like that before and the group felt very inclusive. It was a lot of fun! I definitely got a good workout and challenged my body mechanics. If you’re thinking about trying Muah Thai, do it at Broadway!
Attended class as a visitor from London. Demar and Coach Demetrius were very hospitable. The gym has large clean mat space and the students were very respectful. Coach Demetrius is a great coach with a wealth of knowledge. Would highly recommend visiting or training at this gym and thank the team for their hospitality.
Buddy told me about the place and I came for a class to check it out. Great environment, and great people. They lent me a gi to hop in a class and drill afterward. Everyone was very professional and respectful. Great instructors. Highly recommend.
Incredible instructors in a clean, spacious facility. Coaches are engaged, thoughtful, and run great training--they are the real deal. The community is incredibly welcoming and trains without ego. I find it very welcoming as a beginner and those that practice martial arts at a high level will have more than enough competition to go around. Highly recommend this gym regardless of experience level or athleticism. Come check it out, you won't regret it.
I attended my first muy Thai class here a couple days ago and it was such a fun experience! Coach Sam was attentive and encouraging. The conditioning was great and I’ll definitely be returning to check out another class! Highly recommend!!
Attended the Muay Thai class on Tuesday. The instruction was very approachable for beginners and I learned a lot about the art after just one day. Will definitely get you in shape!
Broadway Jiu-Jitsu offers exceptional training and a great facility. I highly recommend it for anyone looking improve their jiu-jitsu skills.
If you’re new to the area or traveling and just looking to drop in highly recommend, solid gym. Good mat space, great training, everyone was super technical and kind, they also have showers. These are guys are dogs, if you like to get after it you will feel at home.
Went to the Thursday BJJ session and got several great rolls. Staff and instructors are super friendly and got some helpful tips.
This facility is nice and the people are friendly but the problem lies when you try to cancel your contract. I was moving to a new state with my family and I needed to cancel. They made me jump through about 100 hoops and told me to provide my lease once I did that they charged me $153 on top of $174 for their membership fee. It was absolutely ridiculous. I urge new members coming into this facility to please please please read your contract carefully. They have a ton of hidden fees and it is not what it seems to be.
I’ve been charged $600 without permission, and they refuse to stop charging me! I’ve been putting off this review for a while, but my experience with Broadway JJ has been incredibly frustrating. I signed up for a free trial class back in November, but wasn’t allowed to proceed until I payed for a membership. After 2 months of infrequent visits I tried to cancel. I came in person and no one was able to help me and was told to come back in the evening a different day the following week, I said that I cannot as I work in food service and am unavailable in the evenings. They said that I could leave a note with my information and they’d take care of it for me. I also sent them an email with a picture of my note attached as confirmation that I had come by to cancel my membership. I receive an email saying that I signed up for six months and It wouldn’t be canceled until April 1st. This was frustrating but part of their policy, so I continued to pay until April 1st. However, I got charged again on April 1st, and then again on May 1st as well. At that point I went back to the gym to cancel. But nobody in charge was able to help me and I was again told to leave a note so I again left another email with a picture of my note as confirmation. And after several follow up emails they said they would look into it. And I never wanted to write anything bad about this business until I was charged AGAIN today (June 1st) and have not received any confirmation about my membership cancellation. I really just wanted to try this place out and move on, but they’ve made it impossible to do so. Thus far I’ve been charged $600 past the original amount of classes I had agreed upon. I’ve had to dispute these charges with my bank, and yet still Broadway Jiu Jitsu refuses to cancel my membership or stop charging me. It honestly feels like they’re scamming me, so I write this review in hope that it warns others who are considering this place.
