Shoutout to the 6AM morning crew at Boston BJJ! The energy is nothing but positive, the gym is spotless, and the coaches (Tom, Vince, and Jake) bring a systematic approach to teaching - effective for every belt level. I’ve trained at a few gyms across the North Shore, and while they’ve all been great, nothing compares to the coaching and energy here.

I joined the gym nearly six months ago, and I haven’t regretted it for a single moment. The coaching and atmosphere are truly top-tier. I still remember my very first class—it was a bit intimidating at first, but Vince and Tom went out of their way to break everything down and make me feel comfortable. I am grateful for the support and to be a part of such an awesome team!

We came to Boston from AZ for a Noboundry Muay Thai event. The guys at Boston Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu opened up their gym to us and really made us feel at home. Next time we are in the Boston area we will definitely be back🙏🏼

Amazing spot to train! As someone starting out in jiu jitsu you feel the sense of community in Boston bjj the second you step foot through the doors. As well as bunch of high experienced martial artists to help you every step of the way. The gym also is always in great condition and they make sure cleanliness is a priority.

This place is really awesome. I have been going here for muay thai and my 5 yo goes for jiu jitsu for the last 3months. I had trained with Coach Jimmy, Melissa, Nuri and they are all amazing coaches. The environment is very fun and easy to make lots of new friends and also you can make the class as challanging as you want it to be. I am always drenched in sweat after each class. There are all sorts of skill levels from compeletely new beginners to people who has been doing it for years. My 5 year old also goes here for jiu jitsu and he absolutely loves it. The coaches make it fun while also teaching them actual life saving martial arts skills. The amount of patience these coaches have with little kids is really admitable hard to believe how patient they are when the little kids are distracted. They keep a good discipline without stressing the kids. Also for kids jiu jitsu before each class coach Jimmy lectures the kids briefly about topics such as bullying, hygiene, focus, etc which i really admire this side of martial arts is being trained here as well. I had taken my kids to other places where they were just free roaming to kill the time, whereas this place is a lot more structured and you definitely get your moneys worth both physcially mentally.

Since day one I have loved training at Boston BJJ Woburn. The gym is consistently immaculate and the atmosphere is pressure free - no contract required, which is perfect for those who are trying for the first time. The staff is great, very team- oriented, and led by a highly skilled set of instructors that provide a ton of value for the money. Highly recommend.

This is hands down the best jiu-jitsu academy. Professor Jimmy is a great teacher and and excellent human being. Everybody at the academy is very friendly and helpful. I had a very positive experience. I would recommend BostonBJJ woburn not just for those who seek to learn jiu-jitsu or other martial arts, but also for those to want to improve their overall health and well being.

I highly recommend Boston BJJ Woburn to everyone from beginners looking to learn the art for self-defense to black belts preparing for their next competition. Head professor Jimmy DelOrfano's versatile teaching style, consummate professionalism, and intense passion for the sport make him one of the best in the business. What I love about Jimmy's instruction is how he is able to show how and why a move works by deconstructing it into small steps verbally and visually and then demonstrating it several times against a live sparring partner. As with any sport, in order to get good you must practice, and jiu jitsu is no exception. That is why drilling is a major component of his curriculum. A true perfectionist, Jimmy ensures that everyone in the class drills a move until it becomes muscle memory. Live sparring (rolling) is always fun, educational and a great cardiovascular workout. If you are serious about improving your game and want to train in an upbeat, professional environment which fosters self-improvement and mutual respect, train at Boston BJJ Woburn.

Honestly feels like you get private lessons with high level blackbelts. I've been training martial arts for 7+ years; aspects like pacing, technique, preserving your training partners-- these are all very important to me as well as many other martial artists. The lineage at this gym can be traced far back to Brazil and the current coaches are world class. Best of all, it's not intimidating-- it's very welcoming to newcomers and experienced alike!

I've trained at a few places north of Boston, and this is by far the best academy on the North Shore. Jimmy is a fantastic instructor with a wealth of knowledge about jiu jitsu and muay thai, and a teaching style that enables and encourages exploration of the techniques that he's teaching to help you find and tweak a jiu jitsu and kickboxing game that works for you. He's created a fun, hard working environment, with a friendly, welcoming group of both men and women who come to train week in and week out. No matter what level you come into Boston BJJ Woburn at, and no matter what system you came from, Jimmy will help you get and stay in shape, improve your game, and have a blast however many nights a week you can come in to train.

Jimmy Rocks, and his classes are great, I am always amazed at the details he remembers even about the basics that instantly change your game for the better. Most important both Jimmy and the Academy have an Awesome Vibe which is important if you roll a lot - Hondo
