We just started going to classes at Black Wolf a month or two ago and it's been great! The kids class has been super welcoming to our daughter and my husband has enjoyed the adult classes, getting him back into jiu-jitsu after a long hiatus.
Can't recommend highly enough. Great instructors, excellent classes, and welcoming for us newbies.
I came to acquire a DPSST armed cert. from the Blk Wolf folk. more specifically to attend Mr. Jacob and Joshua’s class. I am pleased to have been a part of the experience: whether Academia was divulged or the execution of practical application on the range. Thank you. I come from a heavy DOD background and quite frankly it doesn’t matter which Tier you come from, It’s always insightful for your Brain & Skills to be rung through the ringer even at a Civie Level. So come and pay homage to the skillCraft and get your Certs here.
This academy is a very well oiled machine through and through, Great place to learn not only both a grappling and a stand up game, but also other applied combatives To help with that, BW academy also provides quality fitness courses. To top that off, Annual Seminars on specialized categories such as CPR/AED and CHL are provided. Great instructors, great people, great learning environment and overall great system.
I had the pleasure of attending the Unarmed Security DPSST qualification course with Black Wolf this week. I had no idea what to expect and I must say I was very satisfied with how to course was conducted. All of the instructors were very professional and were open to comments and questions throughout the entire course. They all seemed to understand just how complex the subject matter can be at times, and did a great job of helping us understand things from a more simple perspective. I definitely recommend their course to anyone looking to get a start in the security industry. I'll be back for more qualifications classes in the future.
I've been training here for a while and have come to really appreciate the experience. A lot of the people who attend the gym are really welcoming, and I appreciate that type of atmosphere as a person getting into fitness and martial arts. The instructors are awesome and have a lot of passion in what they do and ensuring their students are doing well. Even though class sizes can be large at times the instructors do a good job getting to know people and saying hi, or making time to chat. The Academy feels like a lot more than a gym, and I'm happy to have joined the pack!
Awesome jiu jitsu classes, great staff, and a super nice and clean facility. Big plus, THEY HAVE INDIVIDUAL SHOWERS! Lastly, the atmosphere is top notch and you can’t find a better group of classmates who all want to help each other learn.
My daughters and I love Black Wolf! It’s been completely out of my comfort zone but I’ve grown mentally and physically. It’s been a very fun and challenging journey. We will continue going not only for learning, growth and skill but for the awesome community we have gained. ❤️🙏🏼
Got my DPSST certification from Jacob. He went above and beyond by teaching us the skills needed for the job! Awesome instruction as well. My course was more than just a certification course. Anyone looking to get their Oregon DPSST should take it from Blackwolf Academy. They are proactive in making security personnel better assets to the community.
I love training at Black Wolf. Their instructors are very skilled, professional, and personable. It is not only a fun environment, but a place where I am being challenged and growing with every class I take!
The best place to get fit and learn self defense! Top notch instructors, welcoming environment, real world skills and fitness. Come check it out. Training at Black Wolf has me reaching for new fitness goals, learning real self defense and meeting really cool people.
This place is a one-stop-shop for everything fitness and self defense related. It's incredible. Instructors are experts in their field and the owners/managers are continually adding more to the offerings for us as members. If you are thinking about coming for anything on the schedule, stop thinking. Just walk through the doors. I promise it will be the toughest step of them all.
Love the classes, and the open mat nights have something for everyone, from pads to rolling. They just started up Muay Thai classes as well.
Absolutely love this place! All of the instructors are tremendous and it’s very clean!
Black Wolf Academy is the place to train and learn from talented and intelligent industry pros. Every experience I have at the Academy tests my skills, pushes me further, and leaves me feeling more competent than when I arrived. I love the ever expanding course and class offerings!
This place is great, very knowledgeable and easy-going teachers. Very friendly and open atmosphere.. and a lot of courses to take.
I’ve been training at black wolf academy since they opened in this location, and I have to say it’s the best self defense school I’ve been to yet. Black wolf has been a very welcoming and judgement free space to better myself, and I highly recommend the school to anyone who wants to get in shape or learn some self defense!
