Black Sheep Martial Arts stands out as a truly exceptional place to train. Jeff’s dedication to mastering his craft and constantly refining his skills makes him an outstanding coach. His passion for learning and teaching creates an environment where students are not only challenged physically but also mentally. The training format here is unique and keeps you engaged, offering a deeper perspective on combat sports compared to other gyms. The academy itself is spotless, with an impressive level of attention to detail that makes every visit enjoyable. As someone with little experience in the sport, I can say this place offers a refreshing and motivating atmosphere. I always look forward to training here—thank you, Jeff, for sharing your expertise and providing such a great space to grow!

Black Sheep Martial Arts has become one of my favorite places. I took a break from boxing a few years ago, and felt so welcomed by the gym now that I started training again. Coach Jeff and Coach Lauren have made this gym versatile, accessable, and fun. Jeff's style of training is focused and high energy, personal training sessions will challenge your strength and technique in the best way. Lauren is a total badass and runs her classes like a machine, you always know what to do and how to improve, she is able to teach everyone at their level and keep you challenged. Whether it's your first time trying Muay Thai, or you have a background in fighting, I highly recommend coming to Black Sheep Martial Arts.

Black Sheep Martial Arts is owned and coached by a true craftsman of the striking game, Jeff Knapp. Knapp is a wealth of knowledge who I have the privilege of being coached under. Being under his guidance for only a short time, Knapp has significantly improved my mental awareness of this sport and striking ability. The environment Knapp has created within the gym is nothing but exceptional. Whether it be private sessions or the classes he offers, you will immensely improve your abilities as a fighter. Knapp’s love for the sport and coaching is captivating in which is shown through his extremely hard work ethic and willingness to teach his students, that is presented every time you walk through the door. Black Sheep offers a safe fun but hard working environment whether your looking to get a good work out in or become a fighter. Coming from other gyms, I highly recommend any and all levels of students stop in and check out Black Sheep Martial Arts and the team.

Stopped in for my first trial class, as a beginner I can appreciate how much Jeff focused on proper technique and correcting my bad habits. The class far out weighs my old gym. It’s very structured and I left feeling like I learned something and didn’t just get a workout in. Looking forward to next class.

TLDR: If you're considering muay thai/martial arts and aren't sure which gym to go to, go here. Coach Jeff is a fantastic instructor who will teach you what's what as well as why. Combined with transparent pricing and scheduling, easily 5 stars. Word vomit below: Firstly, unlike some other gyms, their site has transparent pricing and scheduling upfront so the honesty is very appreciated. Not only that, the prices aren't as ridiculous as some other offerings (that I've seen). You think with a lower price the quality might not be as great, but that couldn't be further from the truth. When I stepped into the gym for the first time, Coach Jeff made sure I was welcome and immediately got me to started to learn the basics. Even though he was the only one teaching that night, and I was the only new student, he spent at least half of the class time personally making sure my form and footwork was correct. He also explained his rationale and mechanics behind how to perform certain moves, which shows a great depth of knowledge. This is a marked improvement from another gym which focused more on just hitting the bag without paying attention to my technique, whereas Coach Jeff made constant corrections so that I got it right. Lastly, (a small bonus) unlike some other gyms, I don't get spammed with constant emails subtly pressuring me to sign up. Well deserving of 5 stars.

Close to if not the best gym I have trained at. I have been doing martial arts for close to 5 years and Coach Jeffs attention to detail always allows me to get better. Great environment, great partners, great gym!
