Coach is small for his high but somehow manages to tap 200+ plus early. His game is mainly based on defense and technical strategies over strength and pressure.

Had a chance to train at Bernardo dojo this week and I can’t recommend it enough! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, which made me feel right at home. The professor is elite, with a deep understanding of jiu jitsu that truly elevates the training experience. Professor Bernardo was our first professor in BJJ. He guided my three boys, encouraged them and taught so many valuable lessons. We had many other professors after him, but as a mom, I quickly realized he was one of the best ones out there. My kids kept asking when will we train with him again... So now that he has finally openned his own place we are over the moon excited. My kids can't wait to start training with him again and I couldn't be happier for all the great moves and lessons they will learn next to him and coach Karen.

Professor Bernardo Pitel is the best professor I have had the pleasure of training under. Although I am still a white belt, I have about 400hrs of training at various locations throughout the United States and a couple of places internationally. He is phenomenal with children, as I have observed multiple courses watching his interactions as both sentimental and instructive. Any chance you can get training from this man is a win!

Eu brigava com ele quando era pequeno, toda vez ele voltava pra casa chorando. Um dia a mãe dele ficou cansada de ver o filho chorando ..e decidiu matricular no jiu Jitsu …com um ano de treino ele conseguiu vingar todos os amigos que bateram nele… hoje ele é campeão mundial por causa do bullying… Jiu Jitsu salva pessoas que tem medo e chorão igual ao Pitel…

Having been in the marine corps for 6 years as well as a personal trainer I expect a lot out of the people that invest my time into learning from. Bernardo is absolutely amazing and I have learned more from him than I could imagine I could. He has easily made me “obsessed” with the sport as he calls it. If you’re wanting to get into jiujitsu I could not recommend this school enough
