  i do the brazillian ju jitsu at bedlam and ever since i first started everyone there is so welcoming and are really nice when it comes to rolling/training with beginners. the coaches there are also incredibly friendly and guide you every step of your journey. all together an amazing place

  Brilliant BJJ club with a really welcoming atmosphere. I’ve been training here for about 18 months now and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in starting BJJ, MMA or boxing, whether you’re a complete beginner or more experienced. There’s a great mix of people, excellent coaching and a really fun, supportive environment where everyone helps each other improve. If you’re in Biddulph, Stoke-on-Trent or the surrounding area and are thinking about giving Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a go, I’d definitely recommend Bedlam; great club, great people and awesome new facilities too!

  My daughter, who is now 10, started BJJ at Bedlam BJJ Raspberry Ape in Biddulph in January after deciding she wanted a change from Taekwondo, and it has been one of the best decisions we could have made for her. Since starting, her self-confidence has improved massively — not only when she’s on the mat, but in everyday life too. She genuinely looks forward to attending the kids’ BJJ classes, which run three times a week, and it’s been lovely seeing how much she has progressed and grown in such a short space of time. Scott is an amazing coach. He has a brilliant way of explaining techniques at a level the children understand, while also demonstrating everything clearly and making sure moves are carried out safely. The atmosphere is welcoming, supportive and encouraging, and you can tell he genuinely wants every child to develop at their own pace. I’d highly recommend Bedlam BJJ Raspberry Ape to anyone looking for kids’ BJJ in Biddulph or the Stoke-on-Trent area, whether their child is completely new to martial arts or already has some experience. We’re so glad we found it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  The best gym around, I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Tried a few gyms over the years and normally the coaches don’t have time for the new guy but Greg and Guy have the time for everyone and they are really great coaches and genuinely love what they do! They push you to compete if you want to and they are always in your corner along with everyone else at the gym. Honestly the best gym around, go and see for yourself!

  As a woman in a combat sport, I cannot recommend Bedlam BJJ in Stoke On Trent, enough. Safe, well balanced training partners, dedicated woman’s secure changing rooms and lots of variety whether you want to just shape up or train to compete. 5*

  Great gym super welcoming atmosphere and accredited coaches with evidence and results that prove why it’s made countless champions, great facilities offering both gi and no gi BJJ/wrestling with MMA sessions done with structure. Been 6 months and couldn’t recommend it more to anyone in the Stoke/biddulph area.

  My kids and husband have been training here almost 7 years. They love it, its a community and the passion is infectious. Having had a few health concerns and putting it on the backburner, i've finally started training myself! Ive been training for around the last 6 months and i've felt really welcomed to the classes. As a woman it can be intimidating starting something new, especially in a male dominated environment, but that couldnt be further from the truth. The gym is clean and well maintained and I also make use of the strength and conditioning area. Great place to train. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

  I’ve been training here for about 4–5 weeks now, and I specifically waited to leave my review because I didn’t want to try just one class, think it’s amazing, and immediately give 5 stars. That being said, I can honestly say this is an amazing place to train. It’s a very welcoming gym with lots of people who are happy to assist and teach — or, on the other hand, give you a good hard session. It’s truly a versatile place with a wide range of skill levels. Greg is an amazing coach, and that’s a key part of why this gym stands out. A lot of people can run a class and call themselves a coach, when in fact they’re just instructors playing the part. Greg has a proven track record in competition, and everything he teaches comes with real examples. He’s not afraid to adapt his teaching style to help you better understand a technique. If anyone is thinking of going, I can’t express enough how much I recommend just trying it out at least once!

  A family friendly environment, a great atmosphere and coaches with a wealth of knowledge. Theirs a class here for everyone, for kids, adults bjj, wrestling and MMA. Theirs also fantastic gym equipment for gym goers.

  I've been training here for a few years now, excellent gym with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of classes for all levels throughout the week as well as kids classes. The coaches are superb. Thoroughly recommended!

  I've trained at 5 or 6 gyms due to my travels. This place tops the lot. The main instructor knows his stuff and is a lovely guy. The people in the gym are very welcoming and friendly and happy to roll, even with a newcomer. Really can't recommend this place enough. Thanks again. Will see you again in the next month or two.   I joined Bedlam in January, it’s a fantastic place to train. Great coaches and great people. Made to feel very welcome, full of friendly people who all want to help each other get better (and also choke them out) Loads of different classes over 7 days and open mat sessions on top of that. 100% recommended

  There are many styles and disciplines of martial arts, that come from many different countries. Many dojos, martial arts schools or academies teach multiple styles that range from striking to grappling. Which has its advantages and disadvantages. Here at Bedlam Brazilian jiu-jitsu they teach both GI and No GI grappling. If unsure what the difference is, GI is martial art uniform and No GI is shorts & t-shirt. If your interested in taking part in local or national competition or learning something new or improve your health & fitness or maybe all three. Bedlam Brazilian jiu-jitsu are here to help you achieve your goal. The instructions are down to earth and there other students that share the same goal as you and will help you along.
